# Bob Scott **Summary.** Bob Scott is a commentator/podcast voice on charismatic prophecy whose "guru model" argument frames modern prophetic ministry as a return to single-mediator authority. His value to this wiki is structural: he names the architecture that produces the abuses documented in the case-study sources. --- ## Position relevant to this wiki - **The guru model.** Charismatic prophecy collapses the priesthood of all believers back into one mediator: "the Holy Spirit spoke through me" implies "everyone depends on me." (Source: [[Bob Scott — The Guru Model Behind Modern Prophecy (Ep. 630)]]) - **Media confers rank.** Platform reach functions as a proxy for anointing, conferring authority without accountability. - **Competition escalates claims.** A prophet attention-economy structurally rewards bolder, more specific prophecy and selects against fallibilism. --- ## Role in the wiki A structural-theory counterpart to the wiki's NAR case studies. Where [[2026-05-19 Bethel's Book Platformed a Wolf]] documents the harm, Scott explains the mechanism; his frame is a mirror of [[Apostolic Authority]] and clarifies why [[Fallible Prophecy]] doctrine rarely constrains behavior.
