# Joel Richardson **Summary.** Author and filmmaker known for end-times / eschatology work in the charismatic-evangelical orbit. He appears in the wiki through the Jonathan Welton case as a notable point of **internal pushback** (Source: Bethel's Book Platformed a Wolf and Silenced His Victims (YouTube exposé video)). ## Connection to the Welton case - During the Michael Brown controversy (2024–25), Welton reached out to Richardson, sympathizing with Brown as a fellow "persecuted" figure. - Richardson responded **bluntly that Welton should not be in ministry**. Welton turned combative, demanding "chapter and verse" for why abusing those under your care disqualifies a leader — a DARVO-style reframe of accountability into a winnable doctrinal argument. - The exchange is useful evidence that not everyone in the network accepts the restoration-by-platform economy. ## Related - New Apostolic Reformation · Jonathan Welton · Michael Brown
