Everyone is single before the date/get married. You must be good at being single before you can be good at dating or marriage. Bible speaks to sexual human trafficking in Corinth. Many come to Corinth and brings their lifestyles along. The other churches sent lots of questions to Paul. 1 Cor 7:1, 7-8 [[Bible/AMPC/1 Corinthians/1 Cor 7#1|1 Cor 7.1]] Now as to the matters of which you wrote me. It is well [and by that I mean advantageous, expedient, profitable, and wholesome] for a man not to touch a woman [to cohabit with her] _but_ to remain unmarried. [[Bible/AMPC/1 Corinthians/1 Cor 7#7|1 Cor 7,7-8]] I wish that all men were like I myself am [in this matter of self-control]. But each has his own special gift from God, one of this kind and one of another. But to the unmarried people and to the widows, I declare that it is well (good, advantageous, expedient, and wholesome) for them to remain [single] even as I do. [[Bible/AMPC/1 Corinthians/1 Cor 7#8|]] 1 Cor 7:32-35 [[Bible/AMPC/1 Corinthians/1 Cor 7#32|1 Cor 7,32-35]] My desire is to have you free from all anxiety _and_ distressing care. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord--how he may please the Lord; But the married man is anxious about worldly matters--how he may please his wife-- And he is drawn in diverging directions [his interests are divided _and_ he is distracted from his devotion to God]. And the unmarried woman or girl is concerned _and_ anxious about the matters of the Lord, how to be wholly separated _and_ set apart in body and spirit; but the married woman has her cares [centered] in earthly affairs--how she may please her husband. Now I say this for your own welfare _and_ profit, not to put [a halter of] restraint upon you, but to promote what is seemly _and_ in good order and to secure your undistracted _and_ undivided devotion to the Lord. In marriage, it isnβ€˜t addition, but multiplication. 1 * 1 = 1 When you multiple things, fractions are diminished and creates less, not more. If things are fractured inside of you and you are in relationship with someone who is fractured, things are compounded. When Jesus is Lord, He as the Holy Spirit, is the source and center. Am I willing to allow Jesus to be the Lord of my life, love, romance, gender identity. Relationship status, singleness, dating, desires, goals, marriage, are you lord over or lorded over or is Jesus? How do we allow Jesus to become Lord over our current and future relationship status? Focus on you after I do. Focus on being someone worth staying married to. Be the one the one youβ€˜re looking for is looking for. Developing Christlike character. [1 Corinthians 13:4-8](https://www.bible.com/bible/8/1CO.13.4-8) [[Bible/AMPC/1 Corinthians/1 Cor 13#4|1 Cor 13,4-8]] Love endures long _and_ is patient and kind; love never is envious _nor_ boils over with jealousy, is not boastful _or_ vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) _and_ does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights _or_ its own way, _for_ it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy _or_ fretful _or_ resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice _and_ unrighteousness, but rejoices when right _and_ truth prevail. Love bears up under anything _and_ everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled _and_ pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed _and_ cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
