## Document Notes
## Highlights
- The goal is ***not*** to read the book.
It's to understand what the author is trying to say. ([View Highlight](https://read.readwise.io/read/01gxegrbc2kdtsz13h2beca6nr))
- Note: Obsidian is developing a feature called "Bookmarks" which is similar to Starred notes but with more capabilities. The goal of reading a book is not to read it, but to understand what the author is trying to say. This is known as "working" the book. How to Work a Book was an event that was put together in 5 days and went very well. It introduced mistakes of reading, overlooked paradigms, practical and profound goals for reading, and better priorities for reading. LYT also held the 3rd Linking Your Thinking Conference which focused on using link-based notes to improve how we think. Finally, Khe Hy posted about 5 hamster wheels to avoid and Nick suggested a 6th which is the "Productivity-obsessed" hamster wheel. Nick also mentioned LYT Workshop 11 and the LYT Kit. He is focused on providing high-value evergreen content such as how to think better, be a better note-maker, ask deep questions, and spotlight ideas that have stood the test of time.
