[00:00] Hey there, it's Leo from Firecrawl, and
[00:01] in this week we'll be taking a look at
[00:02] how you can build an entire N and
[00:04] workflow using the latest features from
[00:06] Firecrawl. Instead of explaining each
[00:08] thing that we'll be creating, let's just
[00:09] dive straight to it and actually start
[00:11] building the workflow. So, for the first
[00:13] example, let's add a manual trigger.
[00:15] This will execute every time I click
[00:17] this, and now let's add the Firecrawl
[00:20] scrape. You always have to scrape before
[00:22] interacting, since to interact with the
[00:24] page is basically a fallback of that
[00:26] initial scrape. Here is where you'd
[00:28] place the URL. You can change that to
[00:30] whatever you'd like, but with
[00:31] firecrawl.dev, let's execute that.
[00:33] Already done. This is the result I got
[00:35] back. If you scroll all the way down,
[00:37] you should find the scrape ID listed
[00:40] down here. Let's pin this, and now
[00:42] create another node. Firecrawl, then
[00:44] let's scroll down and select execute
[00:46] interaction. Then just find the scrape
[00:48] ID from the past execution, drag it over
[00:50] there so that this node understands
[00:52] which ID it should be using. And now
[00:54] inside of the interact operation, I can
[00:56] either choose to execute code or prompt.
[00:59] Since I don't have this attached to an
[01:01] actual agent, prompting is what we're
[01:03] going for, because this will use an
[01:05] agent to go inside of the website and
[01:07] fetch what we need. So, if I add
[01:08] something here like list the pricing
[01:10] plans. So, pretty simple, let's execute
[01:12] this step and wait for it to go inside
[01:14] of the website, scroll down to the
[01:15] pricing section, which we can actually
[01:18] follow along here in the dashboard. On
[01:20] the right tab, you can find the interact
[01:23] live view URL. Open that up and see, as
[01:26] well as interact with the current
[01:28] browser session that your agent has
[01:30] access to. But since it already found
[01:32] the pricing page, we might have that
[01:34] data already done here. So, now in the
[01:36] output parameter, you should see the
[01:38] response. And by the way, one of the
[01:39] parameters we get as a response is the
[01:41] actual live interaction view URL that we
[01:44] just accessed back here. And what we
[01:46] mean about it being interactive, if you
[01:48] haven't seen our past videos, is that
[01:50] you can actually go inside of this
[01:52] browser, click to sign up, click to log
[01:54] in, and authenticate yourself inside of
[01:57] the session so that your agent has
[01:59] access to the same data you're seeing
[02:01] behind the authentication. Now, for this
[02:03] simple workflow, the only thing missing
[02:04] is to actually close that session after
[02:07] you've gathered the data. So, just go
[02:08] down to interact actions, select stop
[02:11] interaction, and then grab the scrape ID
[02:14] here as well. So, just find that and
[02:16] drag it over. All right, now that I
[02:18] execute this step, I can go back to
[02:20] sessions and see it being deleted. Okay,
[02:23] node executed successfully, and 3 2 1,
[02:26] it's gone. All right, this is just one
[02:28] way you can use the interact feature,
[02:29] mainly through the prompting, but you
[02:31] can also design your own agent to act
[02:33] inside of the interact and follow up
[02:35] with its own code inside of the website
[02:37] you need to scrape. So, let's build that
[02:39] right now. First, let me start by adding
[02:41] the AI agent node. And this node needs a
[02:44] chat trigger. So, let's find that. Let's
[02:46] get this trigger down here and make the
[02:48] initial connection. Let's add a chat
[02:50] model. I like using OpenRouter, so let's
[02:53] choose that, as well as Claude Sonnet
[02:56] 4.6. Now, for the tool, let's first add
[02:58] scrape from Firecrawl. Again, we'll need
[03:00] to tell the agent that it first needs to
[03:03] execute scrape to get that ID and then
[03:05] use the ID inside of the interact
[03:07] feature. Firecrawl, Firecrawl tool, and
[03:10] from these tools, let's select scrape.
[03:12] It's already selected by default. The
[03:14] only thing we'll have to do is make sure
[03:15] the LM selects these specific fields.
[03:18] All right, now with that done, let's
[03:19] select the interact tool. Go over to
[03:21] resource, find interact, and the first
[03:23] thing we'll want to add is the interact
[03:25] context. If you're familiar with skills,
[03:27] this is basically a huge instruction for
[03:30] the system prompt, so that it only
[03:32] triggers this, only uses this specific
[03:35] tool when it needs to use the interact
[03:37] feature. Most of the times you want to
[03:38] scrape a website, you won't need to
[03:40] actually interact with it. So, just
[03:42] having scrape inside of the context
[03:44] window won't waste so much tokens. But
[03:46] if you need to interact, you should
[03:48] provide enough context for the LM to
[03:50] operate with the set of codes inside of
[03:53] those pages to then find each specific
[03:55] components to then interact with. And
[03:57] so, because we have this tool, what we
[03:59] need inside of the system prompt is
[04:02] something as simple as telling it we
[04:04] have the scrape tool, and then just
[04:05] following up with if the website has
[04:07] heavy JavaScript, then consider using
[04:09] interact. But finally, a single line
[04:11] that describes always use the interact
[04:13] context tool to get full context of how
[04:16] to use the interact tools. With that
[04:18] done, let's actually add the interact
[04:20] tool. So, go over to resource, interact,
[04:23] now execute interaction. Let's make this
[04:25] dynamic, as well as the opt dynamic.
[04:28] Here is where it'll be different from
[04:30] the previous workflow, because I don't
[04:32] want an agent telling another agent what
[04:34] it needs, because this makes it a bit
[04:36] more complex and unnecessary. So, what
[04:38] we want to add here is code. It will
[04:40] rather be directly executing code inside
[04:43] of that browser session. So, let me
[04:45] click to let the model define this
[04:47] parameter, and your execute interaction
[04:49] node should pretty much look like this.
[04:50] Let me drag this down here and now add
[04:53] the tool to stop the interact session.
[04:55] So, resource, interact, operation, stop
[04:59] interact, and then the LM should be able
[05:01] to add the scrape ID of the session that
[05:03] should be stopped. Okay, with this done,
[05:05] we can do our classical example, which
[05:07] is to have the LM go over to this
[05:09] website, click the see more button, go
[05:11] to the second page, and basically grab
[05:13] all the 21st rows from this table. So,
[05:16] here's my prompt. Go to airank.dev and
[05:18] get me the top 20 results from the
[05:20] homepage table. Let me hit enter, and
[05:22] now it first tried to scrape the page,
[05:24] understood it needs to use interact, and
[05:27] then the fallback was actually having
[05:29] the interaction.
[05:30] So, if we go back to sessions inside of
[05:32] the Firecrawl dashboard, we should see
[05:34] that session running inside of
[05:36] airank.dev. There it is. Let's open the
[05:38] live view to see exactly what it's doing
[05:40] right now. All right, apparently it
[05:42] already clicked on the see more button,
[05:44] and now it found the second page button,
[05:46] already understood it grabbed the data,
[05:47] is retrieving all that as context to the
[05:50] AI agent, which should be done in just a
[05:53] few seconds. All right, it's done, and
[05:55] here are the results. By the way, this
[05:57] was the first execution for that AI
[05:59] agent, and it took around 1 minute and
[06:01] 41 seconds, just because it actually
[06:04] needs to perform actions inside of a
[06:06] webpage to fetch for that specific data.
[06:08] But I believe this really empowers
[06:10] enrichment workflows to get past
[06:12] specific operations that only can be
[06:14] handled through actual interactions.
[06:16] Now, the best part is that you can use
[06:17] all this for free in up to 100,000
[06:20] credits. If you were to buy this inside
[06:22] of Firecrawl, it would be $83 a month,
[06:24] but you're getting all this for free
[06:26] inside of N and with the quick connect
[06:29] feature. To access this, just go over to
[06:30] credentials for Firecrawl. Up here, you
[06:33] should see a setup manually. Just toggle
[06:35] this over to use quick connect. After
[06:37] selecting that, just click connect to
[06:39] Firecrawl, and you should get the free
[06:41] hobby plan along with 100,000 free
[06:44] credits. And if you're wondering how
[06:46] many credits you'll be spending, for
[06:47] each scrape, it costs just one credit.
[06:49] Then following up with the interact, it
[06:51] costed 27 credits. And then for the
[06:53] example using your own agent, since that
[06:56] cost with the LM is all yours, the
[06:58] credit expense for the interact was down
[07:00] to three credits. If you have used our
[07:02] agent feature before, you know this is a
[07:03] considerably lower amount of tokens you
[07:06] need to spend. So, yeah, let us know
[07:07] which workflows you're building. Thanks
[07:09] for watching, and we'll see you in the
[07:10] next video. Till then.
