Events like LoopConf, PressConf, CaboPress, and CloudFest’s WordPress Day already cover important ground in technical skill, business, community, and inspiration. ([View Highlight](https://read.readwise.io/read/01ktpnhbhvwz96ernch567phdm)) - Note: The gap framing: existing events cover skill/business/community/inspiration; a learning-for-mastery event is what's missing. - Tags: atom/literature/h2 - What remains missing is a conference with a singular purpose: to advance every attendee toward a higher standard. A form of mastery, if you will. I don’t think we need just another space to share knowledge, but we absolutely need a carefully designed environment dedicated to refinement. One where those building for the enterprise leveled clients feel just as at home as those aspiring to work at that level. Sharing knowledge is work, and expertise deserves respect. When we pay speakers, we raise the standard for the entire event. ([View Highlight](https://read.readwise.io/read/01ktpnh9dkwjkpy7gr9v1mq3jy)) - Note: The underserved audience: professionals who need refinement and peer-learning, not beginner tutorials. - Tags: atom/literature/h1 - It shouldn’t be about the quantity of sessions. It should be about quality of understanding. It shouldn’t reward the loudest voices. It should spotlight the most thoughtful practitioners. It shouldn’t aim to entertain. It should aim to elevate. ([View Highlight](https://read.readwise.io/read/01ktpnh9yfh8b067nh4n51rerg)) - Note: Quality of understanding over quantity of sessions; thoughtful practitioners over loudest voices. Echoes 'When Answers Are Cheap, Understanding Becomes the Scarce Good'. - Tags: atom/literature/h1, atom/zettel/z1 - Because WordPress doesn’t just need more people building with it. It needs, no, *requires* more people building better with it. ([View Highlight](https://read.readwise.io/read/01ktpnhc5mzd5vgvkxaym053w7)) - Note: The closer: WordPress needs more people building *better*, not just more people building. - Tags: atom/literature/h1
