The demonstration covers three main areas: LLM provider integration, conversational publishing, and request monitoring. The Mistral AI client provider integrates with WordPress's existing AI client system, allowing sites to connect to Mistral's language models. This requires proper composer installation and autoloader inclusion for functionality. Claude's Model Connect Protocol (MCP) integration enables direct blog publishing through conversation, requiring WordPress 6.9+, PHP 7.4+, and the MCP adapter plugin. The system can analyze writing styles from existing posts to maintain consistency. Supporting tools like MCP tracker and ability scout provide monitoring and discovery capabilities for developers working with these AI integrations. ## ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Notes #### โฑ๏ธ [00:00](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=0) โ€” [H1] Introduction to WordPress AI experiments - Key idea: Community members sharing AI integration experiments for testing - Evidence: "Today I have a couple of community experiments that people have been sending me to check out" #### โฑ๏ธ [00:30](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=30) โ€” [H2] Mistral AI client provider overview - Key idea: WordPress AI client allows connection to any LLM through provider system - Evidence: "WordPress has a WPAI client that allows you to connect your WordPress site to any LLMs" #### โฑ๏ธ [01:45](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=105) โ€” [H3] Installing Mistral provider plugin - Key idea: Manual installation requires composer install and autoloader inclusion - Evidence: "Vendor directory is not there, which might explain why it's not working as a plugin" #### โฑ๏ธ [03:20](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=200) โ€” [H2] Testing Mistral AI integration - Key idea: Mistral responds faster than other LLM providers tested - Evidence: "That was pretty snappy I must say. This week's spotlight covers three innovative approaches: Mistral's fast LLM integration, Claude's conversational publishing system, and transparency tools for monitoring AI requests. The Mistral AI provider demonstrates significantly faster response times compared to other LLMs, though developers should note it outputs markdown rather than WordPress block markup. Claude's MCP integration offers something uniqueโ€”the ability to maintain your writing style by analyzing existing posts before generating new content. For developers exploring AI integrations, the MCP tracker and ability scout plugins provide essential debugging and discovery tools to understand what's happening behind the scenes. This is basically things that
[00:09] people have been sending me to check
[00:10] out. So let's start with the AI client
[00:13] provider for Mistral. So if you have no
[00:16] idea what I'm talking about, let's let's
[00:17] go back. So WordPress has a WPAI client
[00:21] and essentially what that does is that
[00:23] allows you to connect your WordPress
[00:26] site to any LLMs and then use the LLMs
[00:29] within your WordPress site. So
[00:33] the mistrial provider essentially allows
[00:36] you to
[00:40] use mistrial models. So I want to see
[00:43] what
[00:44] this is all part of. So, what I'm going
[00:46] to do is I'm going to clone the
[00:48] repository
[00:50] and see if we can get it to work that
[00:52] way.
[00:55] Yeah, the vendor directory is not there,
[00:57] which might explain why it's not working
[00:59] as a plugin. Okay, all good. So, let's
[01:02] go back here. Let's
[01:06] let's remove
[01:09] the
[01:11] AI client
[01:14] provider from
[01:22] Okay. And then let's clone.
[01:29] While that's doing that, I'm going to
[01:30] switch over to my terminal because I
[01:31] just like working in a separate terminal
[01:33] versus the one in PHP store.
[01:35] Let's close that.
[01:38] studio WordPress
[01:41] content plugins
[01:49] for this trial
[01:51] and then it's probably going to be a
[01:53] case of
[01:56] composer installing.
[02:05] Yeah, composer installed. Okay, so that
[02:08] should not work.
[02:11] Let's go back to plugins.
[02:16] Okay, let's look at
[02:45] I think you need to
[02:48] we're going to need to
[02:52] include the auto loader.
[03:21] Okay, let's try that.
[03:26] So now if I go to my AI SDK demo, this
[03:30] should work. Now how I'll know this has
[03:31] work is because this is using AI to
[03:34] generate that message. So it is working
[03:36] and that was pretty quick. So, let's go
[03:38] back into posts
[03:41] and let's just trash the post
[03:45] and let's go back to the demo
[03:48] and let's go
[03:51] WordPress hi coup via mistral
[03:56] and the prompt is a WordPress
[03:59] development hike go development
[04:06] and let's see if that works.
[04:12] That was pretty snappy I must say. Mile
[04:14] seems to be a lot faster than other
[04:16] avenues that I was using today. But
[04:19] there it is. There's the post. It has
[04:21] created it. Okay. It actually like
[04:24] returns. So it's returning different
[04:26] That's interesting. It's returning
[04:28] different content. If you have a look at
[04:31] my client demo plugin, it actually
[04:36] it actually does some work to strip out
[04:40] some stuff.
[04:42] Trying to find it here quickly.
[04:46] Oh, it adds a prompt to say make sure
[04:47] the response uses WordPress block edits
[04:49] and markup,
[04:51] which mistrial hasn't done. It's using
[04:54] markdown format. So that's not that's
[04:56] more of a like model thing than anything
[04:58] else. I mean it works. So that's cool.
[05:02] Okay.
[05:04] Let's move on to
[05:09] cl.
[05:12] So like says clblog is a complete model
[05:15] connect protocol integration for
[05:16] WordPress and enables to publish blog
[05:18] post directly through conversation.
[05:21] So you need WordPress 6.9 or newer
[05:25] PHP 7.4 higher and the MCP adapter
[05:28] plugin and then you need to install this
[05:31] plugin
[05:33] and then you can activate it and then
[05:35] you can set up the bridge. So it's made
[05:37] for clawed specifically
[05:40] code or claw desktop. Let's do this in
[05:42] claw code. Why not? I'm not a fan of
[05:44] claw desktop. So I'll do it in claude.
[05:47] So let's actually let's actually go
[05:48] through the process. So, we've got the
[05:50] MCP adapter installed. Now, we need to
[05:53] copy this
[05:55] claw publisher ability. So, I'm going to
[06:00] wait. I'm going to create a new plugin.
[06:03] So, it's called claw claw publisher
[06:05] ability
[06:12] that.
[06:16] And then I'm going to copy
[06:20] the development
[06:23] projects cla to blog claude publisher
[06:27] ability to
[06:30] claability.
[06:32] Done. So now I should have the plugin.
[06:36] There we go.
[06:38] It's one plug-in file. It registers the
[06:41] publishability.
[06:43] register publish post.
[06:49] There's a test ability to publish
[06:51] postability.
[06:53] Update post
[06:56] list posts
[06:59] permission checks. Good job, man.
[07:02] Publish post handler.
[07:06] Good stuff. Set post tags. Get object.
[07:10] Return object. Update. good
[07:14] listing posts
[07:18] notice. Okay, so it's just registering
[07:21] abilities. Okay, cool. So based on that,
[07:24] if I
[07:26] enable this plugin now,
[07:36] okay, I should be able to with the
[07:39] default MCP server, I should be able to
[07:40] publish a post. So let's see if we can
[07:43] do that. So, let's say I'm going to
[07:45] close JSON and I'm going to say
[07:50] publish a post
[07:52] on
[07:55] local WordPress site
[08:00] titled WordPress haiku
[08:07] and generate a hi
[08:11] H
[08:14] for the post content.
[08:16] That should work theoretically. Let's
[08:18] see what happens.
[08:22] Okay. So, there's discover abilities.
[08:28] It's discovered there's an ability it
[08:29] can use.
[08:32] All good.
[08:36] Publish the post. Let's check.
[08:43] Yep, that works.
[08:47] Good stuff. Nice. So, while we're at it,
[08:50] this would be a good time
[08:53] to install the MCP tracker. Then we can
[08:56] see what that does. So, let's go back to
[09:01] Let's go MCP. Can I
[09:06] disable
[09:11] claude add WordPress? Claude MCP remove
[09:14] WordPress, I guess. Claude MCP remove
[09:17] WordPress.
[09:20] Okay, that's easy to recognize. Okay.
[09:22] Um, so let's close this down. Let's
[09:24] close that down. Let's switch back to
[09:27] WordPress and use
[09:31] the
[09:35] MCP WordPress remote bridge.
[09:37] So that's this guy.
[09:40] Okay. So now let's install the MCP
[09:42] tracker.
[09:48] Plug in
[09:51] CP tracker.
[10:07] Okay,
[10:09] there's a tracker.
[10:11] Cool. The one thing I would suggest guys
[10:14] is or girls, people, if you're going to
[10:18] be installing something that's like a
[10:20] tool like MCP tracking, add it to the
[10:23] tools menu.
[10:25] Like unless it's doing a lot of things
[10:27] and it needs a top level menu, add it to
[10:29] the tools menu. It's just better
[10:31] personal opinion. But anyway, let's
[10:33] let's create some requests. So,
[10:38] let's say list or list the last 10
[10:44] published posts on my WordPress site.
[10:55] So, that's going to do some things.
[11:04] It's using Lax's list posts ability,
[11:06] which is cool. So, there's all the
[11:08] posts. Excellent stuff. Most recent,
[11:12] first. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. Okay. Then,
[11:13] let's say create a post in draft on my
[11:18] site
[11:19] about
[11:21] testing new WordPress
[11:24] community AI plugins.
[11:27] Refer to the following list.
[11:31] And then let's give it the list.
[11:53] So let's say
[11:55] let's do it this way. Let's give it some
[11:56] context. Let's say using the last
[12:03] 10 posts to get an idea of my writing
[12:07] style.
[12:09] Create a post and draft on my site about
[12:11] testing.
[12:18] Please new WordPress community
[12:22] AI plugins. Okay, so it looks like it's
[12:24] created the post. Let's go have a look
[12:25] at what the post looks like.
[12:30] There we go. If you've been following
[12:33] Redest Development all this year, that's
[12:35] kind of how I I start things. So, there
[12:37] we go. Blog post. It talks about all the
[12:39] projects. I may actually use this happy
[12:42] hacking. I would say that I would
[12:43] usually say happy coding hacky. Happy
[12:45] hacking. I'm perfectly fine with just
[12:48] convert it to blocks.
[12:50] I may you may see a version of this
[12:52] published on my on my blog sometime
[12:54] soon.
[12:57] Okay, cool. So, that all works. Oh, I
[12:59] didn't even check out the MCP tracker.
[13:00] Let's go see if the MCP tracker's got
[13:02] There we go. So, there's the ability
[13:04] that was executed.
[13:08] Looks like these failed or something.
[13:13] So, nice one, guys.
[13:15] Looks like it picks up all abilities
[13:16] available on the site. Filter by users.
[13:25] Nice work, people. I like it. So, if you
[13:28] want to install this one on your site,
[13:30] you can then track any kind of MCP
[13:32] requests to your WordPress site. So,
[13:34] check that one out. MCP tracker. It's on
[13:36] the on the WordPress all repositories
[13:40] works well. Simple. I like I like single
[13:42] use plugins that do one thing and do one
[13:44] thing very very well. So, well done
[13:45] people. I'm going to ping the developer
[13:47] who shared this with me afterwards and
[13:48] tell him from what I can see. Nice job.
[13:53] Okay, let's go back to
[13:56] ability scout.
[13:58] I'm guessing it's that abilities. Yeah,
[14:01] probably this one. So, you select a
[14:04] plugin.
[14:07] It's going to tell you what abilities
[14:08] could be registered.
[14:14] Cool.
[14:16] Don't quite know what I would do with
[14:18] all this.
[14:20] It's basically scanning the code
[14:26] and telling you.
[14:31] So there's functionality obviously.
[14:34] So it's obviously import post meta.
[14:35] Let's have a look here.
[14:44] No.
[14:50] Not what I wanted.
[14:54] So, essentially what it looks like this
[14:55] is doing is it's finding
[15:03] Oh, it's finding actions and filters by
[15:06] the looks of it.
[15:08] Is it right?
[15:12] It's finding actions, filters, and
[15:13] restrooms.
[15:15] That could be potential abilities.
[15:19] Interesting.
[15:22] That's it for me, folks. I will see you
[15:24] hopefully next week. Have a great rest
[15:25] of your Friday and rest of your weekend,
[15:27] and I'll see you all next week. The demonstration covers three main areas: LLM provider integration, conversational publishing, and request monitoring. The Mistral AI client provider integrates with WordPress's existing AI client system, allowing sites to connect to Mistral's language models. This requires proper composer installation and autoloader inclusion for functionality. Claude's Model Connect Protocol (MCP) integration enables direct blog publishing through conversation, requiring WordPress 6.9+, PHP 7.4+, and the MCP adapter plugin. The system can analyze writing styles from existing posts to maintain consistency. Supporting tools like MCP tracker and ability scout provide monitoring and discovery capabilities for developers working with these AI integrations. ## ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Notes #### โฑ๏ธ [00:00](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=0) โ€” [H1] Introduction to WordPress AI experiments - Key idea: Community members sharing AI integration experiments for testing - Evidence: "Today I have a couple of community experiments that people have been sending me to check out" #### โฑ๏ธ [00:30](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=30) โ€” [H2] Mistral AI client provider overview - Key idea: WordPress AI client allows connection to any LLM through provider system - Evidence: "WordPress has a WPAI client that allows you to connect your WordPress site to any LLMs" #### โฑ๏ธ [01:45](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=105) โ€” [H3] Installing Mistral provider plugin - Key idea: Manual installation requires composer install and autoloader inclusion - Evidence: "Vendor directory is not there, which might explain why it's not working as a plugin" #### โฑ๏ธ [03:20](https://youtu.be/gD-KgrQ_E_w?t=200) โ€” [H2] Testing Mistral AI integration - Key idea: Mistral responds faster than other LLM providers tested - Evidence: "That was pretty snappy I must say. This week's spotlight covers three innovative approaches: Mistral's fast LLM integration, Claude's conversational publishing system, and transparency tools for monitoring AI requests. The Mistral AI provider demonstrates significantly faster response times compared to other LLMs, though developers should note it outputs markdown rather than WordPress block markup. Claude's MCP integration offers something uniqueโ€”the ability to maintain your writing style by analyzing existing posts before generating new content. For developers exploring AI integrations, the MCP tracker and ability scout plugins provide essential debugging and discovery tools to understand what's happening behind the scenes. This is basically things that
[00:09] people have been sending me to check
[00:10] out. So let's start with the AI client
[00:13] provider for Mistral. So if you have no
[00:16] idea what I'm talking about, let's let's
[00:17] go back. So WordPress has a WPAI client
[00:21] and essentially what that does is that
[00:23] allows you to connect your WordPress
[00:26] site to any LLMs and then use the LLMs
[00:29] within your WordPress site. So
[00:33] the mistrial provider essentially allows
[00:36] you to
[00:40] use mistrial models. So I want to see
[00:43] what
[00:44] this is all part of. So, what I'm going
[00:46] to do is I'm going to clone the
[00:48] repository
[00:50] and see if we can get it to work that
[00:52] way.
[00:55] Yeah, the vendor directory is not there,
[00:57] which might explain why it's not working
[00:59] as a plugin. Okay, all good. So, let's
[01:02] go back here. Let's
[01:06] let's remove
[01:09] the
[01:11] AI client
[01:14] provider from
[01:22] Okay. And then let's clone.
[01:29] While that's doing that, I'm going to
[01:30] switch over to my terminal because I
[01:31] just like working in a separate terminal
[01:33] versus the one in PHP store.
[01:35] Let's close that.
[01:38] studio WordPress
[01:41] content plugins
[01:49] for this trial
[01:51] and then it's probably going to be a
[01:53] case of
[01:56] composer installing.
[02:05] Yeah, composer installed. Okay, so that
[02:08] should not work.
[02:11] Let's go back to plugins.
[02:16] Okay, let's look at
[02:45] I think you need to
[02:48] we're going to need to
[02:52] include the auto loader.
[03:21] Okay, let's try that.
[03:26] So now if I go to my AI SDK demo, this
[03:30] should work. Now how I'll know this has
[03:31] work is because this is using AI to
[03:34] generate that message. So it is working
[03:36] and that was pretty quick. So, let's go
[03:38] back into posts
[03:41] and let's just trash the post
[03:45] and let's go back to the demo
[03:48] and let's go
[03:51] WordPress hi coup via mistral
[03:56] and the prompt is a WordPress
[03:59] development hike go development
[04:06] and let's see if that works.
[04:12] That was pretty snappy I must say. Mile
[04:14] seems to be a lot faster than other
[04:16] avenues that I was using today. But
[04:19] there it is. There's the post. It has
[04:21] created it. Okay. It actually like
[04:24] returns. So it's returning different
[04:26] That's interesting. It's returning
[04:28] different content. If you have a look at
[04:31] my client demo plugin, it actually
[04:36] it actually does some work to strip out
[04:40] some stuff.
[04:42] Trying to find it here quickly.
[04:46] Oh, it adds a prompt to say make sure
[04:47] the response uses WordPress block edits
[04:49] and markup,
[04:51] which mistrial hasn't done. It's using
[04:54] markdown format. So that's not that's
[04:56] more of a like model thing than anything
[04:58] else. I mean it works. So that's cool.
[05:02] Okay.
[05:04] Let's move on to
[05:09] cl.
[05:12] So like says clblog is a complete model
[05:15] connect protocol integration for
[05:16] WordPress and enables to publish blog
[05:18] post directly through conversation.
[05:21] So you need WordPress 6.9 or newer
[05:25] PHP 7.4 higher and the MCP adapter
[05:28] plugin and then you need to install this
[05:31] plugin
[05:33] and then you can activate it and then
[05:35] you can set up the bridge. So it's made
[05:37] for clawed specifically
[05:40] code or claw desktop. Let's do this in
[05:42] claw code. Why not? I'm not a fan of
[05:44] claw desktop. So I'll do it in claude.
[05:47] So let's actually let's actually go
[05:48] through the process. So, we've got the
[05:50] MCP adapter installed. Now, we need to
[05:53] copy this
[05:55] claw publisher ability. So, I'm going to
[06:00] wait. I'm going to create a new plugin.
[06:03] So, it's called claw claw publisher
[06:05] ability
[06:12] that.
[06:16] And then I'm going to copy
[06:20] the development
[06:23] projects cla to blog claude publisher
[06:27] ability to
[06:30] claability.
[06:32] Done. So now I should have the plugin.
[06:36] There we go.
[06:38] It's one plug-in file. It registers the
[06:41] publishability.
[06:43] register publish post.
[06:49] There's a test ability to publish
[06:51] postability.
[06:53] Update post
[06:56] list posts
[06:59] permission checks. Good job, man.
[07:02] Publish post handler.
[07:06] Good stuff. Set post tags. Get object.
[07:10] Return object. Update. good
[07:14] listing posts
[07:18] notice. Okay, so it's just registering
[07:21] abilities. Okay, cool. So based on that,
[07:24] if I
[07:26] enable this plugin now,
[07:36] okay, I should be able to with the
[07:39] default MCP server, I should be able to
[07:40] publish a post. So let's see if we can
[07:43] do that. So, let's say I'm going to
[07:45] close JSON and I'm going to say
[07:50] publish a post
[07:52] on
[07:55] local WordPress site
[08:00] titled WordPress haiku
[08:07] and generate a hi
[08:11] H
[08:14] for the post content.
[08:16] That should work theoretically. Let's
[08:18] see what happens.
[08:22] Okay. So, there's discover abilities.
[08:28] It's discovered there's an ability it
[08:29] can use.
[08:32] All good.
[08:36] Publish the post. Let's check.
[08:43] Yep, that works.
[08:47] Good stuff. Nice. So, while we're at it,
[08:50] this would be a good time
[08:53] to install the MCP tracker. Then we can
[08:56] see what that does. So, let's go back to
[09:01] Let's go MCP. Can I
[09:06] disable
[09:11] claude add WordPress? Claude MCP remove
[09:14] WordPress, I guess. Claude MCP remove
[09:17] WordPress.
[09:20] Okay, that's easy to recognize. Okay.
[09:22] Um, so let's close this down. Let's
[09:24] close that down. Let's switch back to
[09:27] WordPress and use
[09:31] the
[09:35] MCP WordPress remote bridge.
[09:37] So that's this guy.
[09:40] Okay. So now let's install the MCP
[09:42] tracker.
[09:48] Plug in
[09:51] CP tracker.
[10:07] Okay,
[10:09] there's a tracker.
[10:11] Cool. The one thing I would suggest guys
[10:14] is or girls, people, if you're going to
[10:18] be installing something that's like a
[10:20] tool like MCP tracking, add it to the
[10:23] tools menu.
[10:25] Like unless it's doing a lot of things
[10:27] and it needs a top level menu, add it to
[10:29] the tools menu. It's just better
[10:31] personal opinion. But anyway, let's
[10:33] let's create some requests. So,
[10:38] let's say list or list the last 10
[10:44] published posts on my WordPress site.
[10:55] So, that's going to do some things.
[11:04] It's using Lax's list posts ability,
[11:06] which is cool. So, there's all the
[11:08] posts. Excellent stuff. Most recent,
[11:12] first. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. Okay. Then,
[11:13] let's say create a post in draft on my
[11:18] site
[11:19] about
[11:21] testing new WordPress
[11:24] community AI plugins.
[11:27] Refer to the following list.
[11:31] And then let's give it the list.
[11:53] So let's say
[11:55] let's do it this way. Let's give it some
[11:56] context. Let's say using the last
[12:03] 10 posts to get an idea of my writing
[12:07] style.
[12:09] Create a post and draft on my site about
[12:11] testing.
[12:18] Please new WordPress community
[12:22] AI plugins. Okay, so it looks like it's
[12:24] created the post. Let's go have a look
[12:25] at what the post looks like.
[12:30] There we go. If you've been following
[12:33] Redest Development all this year, that's
[12:35] kind of how I I start things. So, there
[12:37] we go. Blog post. It talks about all the
[12:39] projects. I may actually use this happy
[12:42] hacking. I would say that I would
[12:43] usually say happy coding hacky. Happy
[12:45] hacking. I'm perfectly fine with just
[12:48] convert it to blocks.
[12:50] I may you may see a version of this
[12:52] published on my on my blog sometime
[12:54] soon.
[12:57] Okay, cool. So, that all works. Oh, I
[12:59] didn't even check out the MCP tracker.
[13:00] Let's go see if the MCP tracker's got
[13:02] There we go. So, there's the ability
[13:04] that was executed.
[13:08] Looks like these failed or something.
[13:13] So, nice one, guys.
[13:15] Looks like it picks up all abilities
[13:16] available on the site. Filter by users.
[13:25] Nice work, people. I like it. So, if you
[13:28] want to install this one on your site,
[13:30] you can then track any kind of MCP
[13:32] requests to your WordPress site. So,
[13:34] check that one out. MCP tracker. It's on
[13:36] the on the WordPress all repositories
[13:40] works well. Simple. I like I like single
[13:42] use plugins that do one thing and do one
[13:44] thing very very well. So, well done
[13:45] people. I'm going to ping the developer
[13:47] who shared this with me afterwards and
[13:48] tell him from what I can see. Nice job.
[13:53] Okay, let's go back to
[13:56] ability scout.
[13:58] I'm guessing it's that abilities. Yeah,
[14:01] probably this one.
