([Location 329](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=329)) - What I mean is that you can use it to communicate, to consume interesting content, and to share information with a larger potential audience than what is traditionally available to the average business person. ([Location 446](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=446)) - This culture of sharing is what makes using Google+ both challenging and ultimately rewarding. ([Location 447](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=447)) - was no reason why not to follow someone back on Twitter. But this is different because who you choose to circle impacts what you see when you look at the regular stream, and it impacts who sees what you choose to post, and so on. ([Location 1449](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1449)) - your circle names are private to you. ([Location 1466](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1466)) - I recommend keeping them named something that wouldn’t offend, on the off-chance someone would find out. ([Location 1468](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1468)) - Following are the names of my circles and what they mean to me: ([Location 1472](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1472)) - Some of us have created outbound circles, meaning we group some people into circles based on things we want to share with them, but maybe not with others. ([Location 1486](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1486)) - Inbound circles are simply groups of people you’ve organized by what they tend to share or how you choose to view them. ([Location 1489](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1489)) - It is possible to share circles you’ve created with others. ([Location 1493](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1493)) - Following are a few other ways to potentially organize your circles—the first of which we just explained in a use case: ([Location 1506](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1506)) - see if any particular occupation, locale, or some other identifying factor helps you determine whether someone is interesting to follow. ([Location 1533](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1533)) - You can also search on Google.com by adding site:plus.google.com to your search, and then adding in a search term that you think might prove useful in finding someone of interest. ([Location 1534](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1534)) - An easy way to tell is to hover over the name of the person, and you can see who you have in common at the bottom of the box that displays. I ([Location 1550](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1550)) - If you want to copy everyone (or most everyone) from one circle into another circle (maybe you’re promoting people from Not Sure to Interesting), simply go to the Circles page, and then click the circle you specifically want to copy from. When it displays, click the View Circle In tab. Then, go to the upper-right part of the screen, click More Actions, and choose Select All. Then, click and hold the mouse button down and drag everyone into the new circle (below) that you want to move them into. Want to do all but one person? Hold down Command (on a Mac) or Control (on a PC) and click the person you don’t want to move to the new circle. Easy as that, you’ve moved all (but one) to where you want them to go. ([Location 1591](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1591)) - To me, the difference between your primary website or blog and something like Google+ is the same as the difference between a home and a hotel room. ([Location 1625](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1625)) - Google+ doesn’t make it easy for you to convert people from being a visitor to a prospect (such as inviting people to opt into your email newsletter). ([Location 1632](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B009WQ42DO&location=1632)) - If your main website or blog is your “home base,” Google+ is an outpost.
