everybody you can start making your way up here to your seat we'll get started [Music] a lot of good stuff this morning so i don't want anyone to miss anything especially my wife [Music] i'm going to give everyone a minute to filter in here and sit down and i know we go live at 10 so we like to have some kind of voice so they know we didn't forget the online people [Music] we've been really lucky to have uh brian and candace simmons here this weekend um you know he's learned that they are known for the passion translation but obviously there's a lot a lot more to them and getting to know them this weekend and sort of the heart behind them has been really special and i i wanted to leave off how many people were here last night so maybe half half the people and i wanted to do a slight recap of some of the things he talked about and then say a few words about that and get into worship so father we just love you and we thank you for our time here today lord and uh we thank you for your presence and fear being here with us father we thank you for the words you've brought to us this weekend and the encouragement [Music] and the goodness that you have for us so one thing last night brian todd one was the song of songs and he sort of brought into perspective [Music] how it's a it's a song written to the shulamite woman which it represents us from jesus and how he's ruining us into him um and how in modern times it's sort of been told more as this erotic story that the translators and people have really harped on but the true heart last night to hear him explain that story was really great and in the park and he prophesied part of this over our who family and um some of that really hit home with me and mark actually brought the same verse to me so i want to go over just a part of this real quick and uh chapter 2 verse 8 this is the woman talking this is us talking saying listen i hear my lover's voice i know when it's him coming to me leaping with joy over mountain skipping in love over the hills that separate us come to me and brian was describing how these mountains and hills that jesus is talking about is these things in us that can separate us from him and i'll let you teach me sometime what an allegory versus a metaphor is i guess but metaphorically speaking these it's funny because the word here it's the mountains and hills that separate us you know what are the things that separate us from the lord and he's just sleeping over them to come to us but the party goes on to say is jesus then responds to us and says arise my dearest and hurry my darling come away with me i have come as you have asked to draw your heart to my heart and lead you out for now is the time my beautiful one and then in verse 11 it says this the season has changed and as he spoke that prophetically over this house it really rang in my heart and i just want to talk about that for a few minutes this season that's changing and and uh that's the verse actually mark said hey i want to send one to you and it was the same verse and so that's a confirmation and this season isn't changing because of what's happened in the last few months um i'm going to tell you confirmation i had this season's been changing for us for about a couple years and it was september two years ago i remember standing there and the lord sharing with me that whatever this new way looks like someone actually got up and spoke and i saw the lord say that's an old way and that's not putting that person down but there's a new way that's an old way of doing things and there's a new way coming he said our new way is going to be built on the praise of jesus our praises it's that's not the new way but the new way that's coming is going to be supported by our praise and worship of our lord and i found in my life when the lord tells me something it's an 18-month plus or minus time frame that things will happen and i'll slowly oh yeah oh yeah and then i look back all of a sudden and say like bang this has changed and when you said that and i put this timeline together and the last month of our worship and praise has been so outstanding and it really has been over the last few years just the changes in the not only the heart of the worship team doing it but the heart of the people who are entering in and responding to it and i know we're all growing in our ways of this worship um i think that we've really built a new platform there and i want to share that [Music] a few months after that kendall got here one day and he he said you know i see our jesus being held high up on his seat and being held by our praises and i get that image a lot more reward especially when we reach those real deep places in worship and i see in the spirit the lord held up high and what happens here is me and brian when you describe later how jesus is actually partaking of us and i can't describe it like you did i don't remember what i remember the heart of what you said is he's actually delighting in us and we focus on our delight in him and when i'm in those moments of worship i'm telling you there's times when the lord comes down off that platform and he comes to us and he just touches us and the things we we've needed that we've forgotten about because we're caught up in our praises he's healing us up so there's an opportunity for depression to go away you know that the health issues you're fighting with your children get resolved the thing you're worried about when he came in monday at work he's giving you a revelation of how to handle or he's actually just handling it like i think that our new season i don't think isn't dictated by by setting our chairs up different [Music] the order of our service i think it's dictated by a heart change in us we can do the physical part many different ways but this realization of the lord is is is what's changing and this worship and praise is part of it and so ryan went on to list there's eight things and i'm not going to read them the song of psalms that actually he's bringing us a bondage and bringing rains and flowers and at the end he says [Music] can you not discern jesus is talking to us now can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you the early signs of my purpose and plans busting forth the budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere the fragrance of their flowers whisper this change is in the air arise my love my beautiful companion and run with me to a higher place and that's what we're setting to a higher place and we want to all go in that higher place together and we're going to be at different places on it and that's why we're as a family here to pull each other to those places when we're not there but those are the higher places i believe we're going to so i want to close in this one scripture [Music] the lord brought that i have loved this scripture john 4 23 from here on worshiping the father will not be a matter of the right place but the right heart and so people are talking about a new normal a church building not a church building a church buildings is right that it can be a great place or not i like church buildings personally i like being here with you guys but it's the heart of the people in the place they're at and he goes on to say for god is a spirit in the and he longs to have sincere worshipers who worship and adore him in the realm of spirit and truth as a testimony eight years ago i went to ukraine and i had read that verse and i longed i said lord i want you to teach me what this means what does it mean to worship you in spirit and the lord came and taught me and it changed my life and i'm still learning it and that's my prayer that's my prayer for us today as we lead into worship like father show us a new revelation of what it means to worship you in spirit lord show us lord the higher places that you're going to take us to in that verse you said arise and come to the higher places with me lord show us father what it is to worship you in this kind of spirit and truth father what i thank you that your desire is for us to be that is to teach us that you are a rewarder that you love us that you have goodness and kindness for us father and today as we worship lord i pray this revelation lord that we see spiritual things we see new things and lord we're not judging of them we're open to them opening our minds up to what new ways of experiencing you of hearing your voice of seeing your voice what that looks like for us individually and corporately here together lord i thank you lord that you love our family lord i thank you for everyone here that they came today to be part of each other and experience each other and experience you together lord we just love you father in jesus name my daughter's just been uh begging me to do this song for a while and i went through some really difficult and really amazing times through this whole coveted thing back in the winter months and this is a song called egypt that the word i literally would listen to like for hours at a time so yeah that's this song so you can pretend you know it if you don't know i won't forget the wonder of how you rock [Music] deliverance the exodus of my heart cause you found me you freed me and held back the waters for my release [Music] lord of every victory hallelujah you have led [Music] a cloud by day a shaped by every word he says he is is he is [Music] he is to turn my morning into grace [Applause] we're talking about the lord leading us out of egypt and i felt that there's some folks in the room right now that couldn't connect to that because right now they still feel like they're in egypt and they feel like they're trapped there they feel like they're in bondage there and i just i was thinking throughout we were singing this i want us to sing that over people right now that are still feeling like they're in egypt and i think an interesting part of that too is it talked about the lord led us you have to let him lead you out that also means that you have to move and so i feel like just as a like just an act of response to that right now if you feel like you're in egypt like right now if you feel like you're in egypt [Music] like i'd just like you to come up here and just stand and let us sing over you these words who he is who he says you are and even if that's not you but you know someone right now who's in egypt and they can't be here i want you to stand in that place for them too so just i want you to come up here and if we can just go back into that again and just sing over these votes and sing with the people that they're thinking about and we will we have to act too like we have to let him lead us that means we sometimes have to move [Music] i am he is who he says he is who he says he is all his promises shaped by every word he says i am he is who he says he one more is is is is is so [Music] [Music] so so [Music] so so so [Music] [Music] so before we completely transition from this i just wanted to share something that kind of came up in my heart [Music] i'm going to tell you why this is important we all went through much of isolation [Music] you know we went through weeks of being unsure and not being like you know as a pastor you try to have validation from why we need to get back together and for me it's it's never about money and it's not about building it's good it's what i felt this morning come alive in this room it's the hope it's the hope that we carry i hope that come out in songs like this this morning where i was reminded of her provision and healing that it's not i'm not sitting around wringing my hands over a stimulus check coming in the mail because it never was about the government it never was about any of those things it was the hope that we have in healing so why is it important that we get back together in a you know a postcode world or whatever it's this right here yes i needed i needed the songs that are in your heart i needed that expression of the lord and you i needed to be reminded put my friends on what they embody because in seeing you i see myself and i had to be reminded of that and i didn't realize that i had missed that hope over the last few months and i felt like this morning just through our worship together and through the songs you're singing and what you're sharing that i allowed hope to rise back up inside of me and i just decided that i'm sick of going through the motions man i'm not just surviving this thing you understand that and neither are you [Music] i know you felt that way but i think we've also got a taste of what it's like for so many people who hide themselves and isolate themselves and they need what's in you [Music] so father i just want the hope of this moment [Music] to continue to build [Music] i am not an orphan i am not a poor man you're fighting for us right now you're fighting for each and every person in this building whether they're sitting or standing whether engaging or not whether they're close or whether they're distanced in their heart you're fighting for them and i do not want them to miss this moment greater things are yet to come when was the last time you said that in the last few months greater things are yet to come greater things are yet to come can you say that greater say it greater things or yet to come this this is not like wishful thinking you understand right this is a clear and present reality that we hold within us christ in us the hope of glory allows us regardless of where we've been what we've been through our experience of the last few weeks or months [Music] greater things are yet to come so as you watch those waves roll back and you begin to step through and step out of and step into all those promises that we've talked about and we've sung about and we're thinking about right now can we just man i see this thing really exploding this morning [Music] like for this hope it moves out of that wishful thinking and into a present reality right now [Music] so lord one more time i i just thank you for my family i thank you father that thank you that you let me see them this morning [Music] and experience them to know you in this moment oh i was so hungry for this [Music] and may we carry this hunger again and again every time we gather together let's carry this hunger because greater things have yet to come [Music] wow you know this is the lord [Music] the first time i've ever done it [Music] i feel like it's really really important for everyone to close our eyes [Music] father show us the greater things [Music] whatever the greater thing is [Music] and it doesn't have to be huge i mean it could be huge it could be something that you would think is small but it's still a greater thing like it's greater than where you're at in your mind right now it's a greater thing [Music] i want you to look at it [Music] and i want you to walk towards it i want you to see it [Music] now i want you to feel [Music] allow yourself to feel it i want you to wrap every bit of that emotion around it every bit of that peace every bit of that joy and you take hold of that and don't you lose it because it is a reality in your life and you're gonna watch it you're gonna you're about to watch it unfold whatever that greater thing is [Music] i just feel like it's really really important to share with you to let yourself feel it because i think that's truly hope is when we let ourselves feel it like this is like yeah this is already here that is real hope so let yourself feel attach that emotion to it don't move until you feel it [Music] because that's the kindling that's the kindling to the fire [Music] so saturday was silent but surely it was through since when has impossible ever the boat [Applause] [Music] y'all this is the phrase makes a dead man walk again so this is [Music] the good news is he wants to he's not just able to he wants to so lord we ask that this sound that was released today would be a prophetic unction over our nation over nations of the earth that they would hear this sound this ancient sound this is not a new sound this is an original sound that came forth from the beginning it was the sound that caused light to be where darkness was only ever known this is the sound that's coming forth and coming into nations including our own we speak to you remember remember this sound remember this vibration deep on the inside of you and respond to it because my father wants you alive again forevermore america nations of the earth arise arise arise this is the sound of a new dawn this is the sound of the day breaking you can live again you can hope again there is light after the darkness there is another day after this night we declare it so and this sound is going forth and we declare and we believe it will not stop this sound will not stop until it fulfills why it sounded in the first place so we as a small company agree with the sound and we will not be those who stay asleep but we will arise and we will be the first fruits of nation's awakenings nation's awakening we are the first fruits and we will be faithful to make this sound in prayer in praise in worship in love let our love remind the earth that this sound doesn't stop when the music ends this sound goes forth in and through our lives it's the sound of our father it's the is to remember i feel like when we resurrect we remember why we were made alive we remember why we live we remember why we exist so live again live again america live again earth live again nations wait to hear what ryan has to say but the lord just really specifically said i'm not finished so don't stop but i have to tell you what i saw i saw this cloud that came in and covered the room and the only word i could get was brooding brooding the holy spirit was [Music] fruity he was brooding over his people and i would see people raise their lightning rods like this and immediately there'd be a flash of lightning you hit that person life would just come the very thing you were saying i was watching it happen as it hit people and i was like you can't stop now you can't stop now he's not finished so if you if you need life if you want put those lightning rods up and grab it because he wants to just electrocute you right now that's all i know i know to say but he is brooding over you [Music] oh man that was awesome [Music] i said this a few weeks ago i'll keep saying it man more people need to hear this if you're here for the first time welcome thanks for being here i know we have a lot of guests that came for brian and candace i'm glad you're here um what a great sound what a great sound you know when you spend a good weekend together we're going to get ready to take an offering so you can turn the offering light on but uh the lord just poured so much into you and i was i was sort of sitting there this morning thinking about this dreading this moment this transition from worship to offering and the lord really maybe this is the new i said everything takes a year and a half this might be the new year and a half thing but the lord was pouring on me how intimate this giving part should be like this is an extension of our worship and we've turned it into this like i hear so many people say it they're like well they the church had great worship and then they had to take an offering and we got to change that attitude it's going to take some time but that's a mindset we need to change like this is an intimate act of giving this is a sacrifice you know when they gave sacrifices of bulls and things like that that was their livelihood their money that was their provision you know and lord i repent for having a heart that has just walked up and carelessly dropped the offering in your basket i know i've done it lord i love the worship and now we're just moving on to the next phase and this is something we got to do to get through the church service and maybe that's part of our new thing we're working on here we've often talked about money's harder to talk about than sex in church you know because it it brings something up in people honestly you think it's like oh now i gotta give like it we're here so like i i got to put this money and it feels like a control thing from whoever i don't know i don't know where it came from father i repented that lord and i ask you that this offering baskets appear miraculously and um would i repent for an attitude that's just sort of blown off the importance of giving lord i thank you that you are the provider i thank you for that song you are provision lord you are provision and i'm not going to worry about the where it comes from or how it comes and father i change my heart and my giving to start to see it differently to take my time as i walk up here and and i know we do online given so i don't know how that works yet but i think that's there's a sacrifice there you can enter into as well but lord this this act of giving father we uh we want to learn your heart for it lord lord and we thank you i thank you for the provision you've been to all the people here lord i bless them and i bless their giving and lord i pray that you teach all of us and we learn from each other what it truly means for provision in this aspect of provision and the giving we're able to do because of you father jesus name bring it up there you go 20. um we've got a few announcements before uh we speak here and i'm going to let down my duties i'm not sure what they all are so diana joslin whoever knows them first is next sunday six o'clock at our house we're having ice cream so everybody that wants it come on over we'll start this over next weekend sunday baptism at the stream this is one of the best nights of the year everybody is invited whether you're being baptized or not please please please come out in support of those who will be baptized it's beautiful and i think in that moment the more encouragement we have as people make this declaration of newness in their life of their commitment to the lord it's just an incredible time to support and encourage so please everyone come out we'll do baptism first and then ice cream and as you can see up here because i don't know what time come at any time but come at 6 pm especially i might eat ice cream before and after next friday we're having a men's gathering who knows the exact time six seven six o'clock here um looking forward to it we had started gaining momentum on having guys meet then we slowed down the last few months so this is our first time together um what we do exactly will be a surprise i think marty will unveil to us but it will be great and i look forward to anyone that's able to make it to come on out and just be together anything else all right now we get to announce candace and brian simmons um i think i got to announce them last week actually too so this is sort of cool um you know i didn't know them hadn't met them personally so we've gotten this is our fourth time together i think and uh what a real treasure they are um for who they are sorry i drifted away um you know um we know that they are known for their writing the translation and a lot of other books that are back behind that you can look at and encourage you to see what strikes your heart in those and and i shared with them last night you know the one thing the lord put on my heart about you guys is trustworthiness and to me what i see is they've attained such a level of trust in the lord that he unveils and gives them things and they talked a lot about secrets about ways you unfold the bible from simple to hints to something to secrets and mysteries and it's it's really incredible and i think the lord has just trusted you so much that he's unveiling you know you've even said he's he's given you secrets and they're so they're such treasures for us you know his hard work's plowing away for honestly us to get some secrets pretty cheap because i know you put in a lot of sacrifice and hearing some of your story over the weekend and hard times to be that trustworthy person that the lord can really unveil these secrets to and i i just want to thank you guys for that and i would just add as we were worshiping today the line in the first song death is swallowed up forever by the fury of your love as we sang that i just have seen that all weekend that that is your heart cry for every person to experience not just death but anything that isn't leading towards abundant life and so i'm we're just honored to have you here we're so thankful for you we see the commitment and the um just the the the every bit of yourselves that you put into that that we can receive and my prayer is that every person gets to experience the fury of his love yeah let's welcome these guys oh kids yes kids can go i knew last week i remembered like joslin said don't forget the kids at the end of this week i didn't so kids church thank you well you folks are very easy to love your etls easy to love and we're so thrilled to be with you first time to be here in franklin county and and you know get to just hear your hearts and i i can just say right off right off hand that this is probably one of the most mature and stronger leadership teams that we've we've uh seen in churches and we've uh planted churches and we've uh traveled quite a bit over the last 11 12 years or so and and we're infatuated with you all so you're very special tell the person next to you even if they're six feet away and you don't like them tell them they are special first of all we just want to thank you for your hospitality everybody that's worked the from the book table to the sound to the children's ministry we thank all of you for making it possible you've just been wonderful we've felt so received and loved and just feel like we're among family so thank you and i'm going to share some dreams this morning i'm a dreamer so whenever i go to a different house i ask the lord to give me dreams and i always say you ask not you have not so just ask him for things and he will come he'll give me all kinds of things i could have a song i could have just one word i could have a whole story or just a little portion and then i just take it and i'll let the lord prophesy into it always put scripture with it so so you had 11 dreams i have 11 i'm going to share for this house so i had two days so i had some yesterday today but i'm not going to share them all because some refer other things yeah okay but we will we will forward this to the past and i always write it down because i want the intercessors to have it and judge it and pray into it so what good is it if you don't pray it back that's one secret for dreams always pray into it either push it away if it's from the enemy or pull it in if it's something good so don't forget that if you forget anything else don't forget that pray so that's why i write them down and i give them to the intercessors of leadership to judge them and use them so because it's spiritual warfare material for you things for you to stand on okay so i've been doing it fast because he's got a great message for you five he's my favorite teacher besides holy spirit so okay number one the lord calls you an apostolic refreshing sinner and your pastors randy and dawn have made the word apostolic personal oh mark and dawn what did i say oh i said great i don't know where i got that even that's his middle name i know your name is mark so i'm sorry it's mark greg it's his middle name anyway mark and dawn starting off good here so anyway we all make mistakes thank you mark and dawn you've made the apostolic personal like paul who names all of his friends at the end of his letter so you're carrying in your hearts and are stewarding this family like a mother and a father and i heard i heard you say like our bridegroom king said in song of songs nations and friends come eat and drink your fill of my people and then i've added because they carry the substance of heaven and there will be nations streaming in and out of you across pollination for this is your heart's desire you've asked me for the nations and so you will have them and i saw pastor mark killing goliath you've already killed your lion embarrassed and we heard last night that goliath represents the intellect that stands in defiance against the move of the spirit and so god is releasing a fresh revelation to this house through you and the father is saying to the congregation open your hearts and let the wind of the spirit blow in number two i saw dreamers arising new ideas new revelations new strategies for you our house that has big dreams and like joseph the lord wants you to hang on to those dreams even though some may ridicule you for believing hang on for the amazing adventure i'm about to take you on habakkuk 2-2 so write down the revelation and this is my portion line it up with scriptures and then run with it number three a large prophetic company is arising this house we already saw that this morning company a prophetic i saw people who never prophesied before didn't that happen this morning began to prophesy like saul when he came among the company of prophets in first samuel 10 10 and then the spirit of god rushed upon saul and he prophesied along with the other prophets number four he called you a joshua generation and the lord is saying i'm giving you the courageous uh to conquer the giant in the land of of the promise i'm giving you courage to conquer the giants in the you is saying if god says i can have it then i can have it there may be giants in my path but there's no match for the overcomer that's inside of me every promise in the book is yours and you will not be denied and he's raising up fearless ones mighty warriors that will not back down or turn back number five your i dreamed of a family working together on this huge farm plowing the ground and the lord says that you will reap a glorious harvest proverbs 28 19 says whoever works the land will have plenty of bread and the field is the world and you will plant good seeds the sons of the kingdom into the nations matthew 13 38. number six i saw plants coming up you will send out mighty men and women to do great feats and do pla plant churches and in the nations as well as this nation number seven i saw a science lab where you were cooking up something new forget the former things don't dwell on the past where he's doing something brand new something unheard of even now it sprouts up and grows and matures don't you perceive it i will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams even in the desert ice number eight i saw his huge eye watching over you in the where flowers were being sent to you he wants you to know that even in the midst of covet he has not forgotten you isaiah 49 16 can't you see i've carved your names on the palms of my hands your walls are always my concern your children your builders are running back to you number nine and this is kind of self-serving but i saw you all different ones you've gone to israel with us so could you could you repeat that repeat that time please i saw members of the church going to israel with us i wrote it down so i know that i saw that candace didn't want to share that dream that's kind of self-serving i think so we want you all to come yeah this morning we talked it over because it sounds manipulative but i don't care she had a dream from god and uh you all are coming uh we're gonna feel about my desire i don't know and your past service will be leading that bus and it's going to be uh hop on the bus gus it's going to be so much fun you can't believe what all it's true you're telling me the truth it's so much fun i dream about israel all the time number 10 you had a gift bag and you put your very own shirt in it the lord says you are a gift and a generous family you give your shirt off your back if you needed to you hear the cry of the poor and you run to meet them as you look to find my heart you will find me as you serve the poor and finally number 11 i saw this church having a huge pool party with ice cream maybe i don't know but you are all called to be refreshing pools dispensing refreshing wherever you go even when your path winds through the dark valley of tears you will dig deep to find pleasant pools where others only find pain psalm 84 6 and the lord will split open boulders and bring up bubbling water for you gushing streams that birth forth because he is near psalm 114 8. uh it's got the sauce on it better than chick-fil-a there's there's some sauce on this book i want to give it to somebody here that uh it's your first time here you never met me but you love jesus lamb it's the greatest composition ever i could go on and on and i think i will for the next four hours about how much i love this uh amazing book the most amazing song ever composed so let's do the be something connected to this book have you ever heard the phrase rose of sharon do you know what sharon means it is a homonym it has two meanings in uh when you come to israel with us next year next amen be seated in the heavenly realm and as i promised last night i want to continue in this uh ooey gooey book in the bible it's called the song of songs it really is like a warm chocolate cookie that you get at doubletree i love staying at doubletrees because they give you that melting hot cookie so that's what you're going to get today and if you don't like chocolate chip i'll take yours and we'll make yours peanut butter or something gross something else so if you give me permission to just summarize because half of our folks weren't with us last night so briefly this song that's in the middle of the bible is meant to be in the middle of you it is the heart throbbing heartbeat of god and the arteries go from the song of songs into pauline theology and and into every new testament revelation we we relish and the arteries likewise go back through extending into the very heart of god and creation when he made us but the heart of the bible and the heart of god is what we must pursue can i have an amen in this episcopal church today it's the heart of god and i've always felt people don't want to read the bible they want to know god's heart and that's what we're trying to do with the project the passion translation project i had an encounter i had a supernatural encounter i'm understating this folks but i had a supernatural encounter in 2009 after pastoring 18 years previously we spent about 18 years in missionary training and missionary career in right on the border of colombia and panama right in the darian province there provencia de dariang where the drug cartel had set up base and we're talking about the days of noriega okay that's when my wife and i and our three children we lived in a forgotten secluded village that had no way in and out except dug out canoe if you wanted to take a week or a specially designed aircraft cessna 185 tail dragger that would get us in and out of a very very rough and tumble grass jungle airstrip and there we lived and uh we we saw the lord do wonderful things but the the the encounter i had was so unusual and so divine i had no choice but to obey the vision it wasn't even a vision people say was it a vision i was it a dream i was there and he was there i'll just put it that way i mean my my wall melted okay you're making me tell you the stuff here and he breathed on me and he gave me this commission and in no way does that mean what i do is to be compared to the authors of the new testament nor is my work perfect in any way i mean dude you'll find typos here and there okay plus i'm still revising it there's actually a 2020 edition coming out in in time for christmas but and then another edition in 2025 when i hope to finish and complete the entire project but the the the commission i had was that i would release his heart so we've asked the lord every day i ask the lord i invite you to pray for me as i do this awesome work i mean who is worthy of this not me who is worthy of doing something like this people have said to me you have no business doing that i said hey man go tell god that's my sentiment too but i want to be obedient i want to be obedient to the end so uh our delight is to express the heart of god and god wants you to know his heart he's not angry you don't have to catch him in the right mood you know like your dad when you're a teenager wanting to borrow the car you kind of have to fluff him up you know do something to make sure it's cool and he's in a good mood hey hey dad can i have the car tonight no you don't need to worry about that abba is for you not against you and jesus is the full expression of the father with skin on god funneled into a human being god shrunk himself into an embryo and was born of a virgin and lived the supernatural life to show us the father and and everything he did every word he spoke was love verbal drops of glorious love spilled from his lips every time he spoke a portal opened in the heavenly realm and people saw a glimpse of something they'd never seen before it's as though jesus was an outlet of heaven on earth and indeed he was so his word must mesmerize us it must draw us like a tractor beam into his heart and the one book that has captured my heart 30 years ago as i was pastoring you know young pastor just come off the mission field my training was linguistics and field consultant and church planting cross-cultural communication my so i had to get a whole new skill set and pastoring and then and then i i found the book in the bible everybody avoids it's like uh uh don't read that book naughty nutty xx rated well i took a peek at it am i you know it's like don't touch that apple don't eat that apple whatever you do do not eat that fruit well i had a delightful discovery an epiphany if you will of the lord unveiling himself to me in this book and i i slowly walked my way through it verse by verse and i stumbled so many times thinking what in the world does her hair like a flock of goats mean i mean who what man in his right mind would say to a woman your hair is like a flock of stinky goats running down gilead skipping along or your belly button is like a blended goblet of wine i i i had to pause at every one of those metaphors say lord teach me show me help me commentaries were helpful but i felt like i was blazing a trail finding things that had never been seen before like i was in the jungle of theology and the end result was an infatuation that's gripped me to this day i know there's other books in the bible believe me they're 66 and i'm working on all of them thank god i'm not catholic i don't have to do the apocrypha but i know there's lots of beautiful truths i love pauline theology i memorize his epistles i love the letters of john i memorized all three of them but there's nothing that will take your breath away and sweep you off your feet like the song of the ages so go with me to chapter 5 and verse 16 chapter 5 and verse 16. i'm going to jump right in i will not talk about the kisses that are the first part of the verse but the next line says he is delightful in every way and perfect from every viewpoint he is delightful in every way and perfect from every viewpoint do you see it here up on the screen if you don't have a bible you can see it on the screen he is delightful in every way and perfect from every viewpoint the most favorite person in your life has flaws if you look long enough at every celebrity every minister every human being you will eventually you will find a flaw even the sun has its spots but jesus is is a gold uh with no mixture there's no uh there's nothing flawed about jesus can i ask you a question beautiful friends who do you say i am jesus asked peter and peter gave from the revelation he had at the moment and indeed it was from heaven but if our answer is you are the christ the son of the living god if that's all you have to say about jesus oh my study the bible who do you say i am if jesus were to walk in the room right now and ask you that question who do you say i am i say you're delightful in every way you've never disappointed me the 49 years actually my spiritual birthday was yesterday i didn't want to mention it because i didn't want you to feel obligated to throw me a party or anything i'm actually 49 in the spirit i was born again on august the 8th 1971 supernaturally it had a massive conversion at least it was massive for me to go from the darkness that i had embraced into a light that has has blinded me to everything else and i found that he's never once failed me when in our missionary training we had nothing we lived in a one-room place they they really wanted to be rough and that believe me they made it rough for us and we had to trust god and my wife will remember we got down to one can there's four of us our son hadn't been born yet i had a a four-year-old and a three-year-old and a beautiful wife and the four of us we had one can of campbell's bean soup campbell's bean soup one can and you know you supposed to like water it down and hopefully so that's all we had and i told our daughter our oldest daughter charity she was four and i said honey will you pray because i knew god would hear her prayers god always hears the prayers of children okay so we got down on our knees the four of us and charity our daughter she prayed and and this is in our book by the way uh the wilderness that's on the back but she prayed daddy god i want cookies crackers and cereal and she named the brand i think it was cap and crunch okay and she named the things that she wanted within one hour knock on our door friends from another state coming to visit unannounced pre-cell phone and and and they god told them to stop at the store you tell me what they had in their grocery bags the very things our daughter asked for our middle daughter joy was bitten by a bushmaster snake again that story is in the book called the wilderness and was slipping into a coma bleeding from hemorrhaging from the soft tissue of of her of her face horrible viper bushmaster five foot long and we'd buried people in the village that had been bitten by that snake and i prayed god breakthrough i didn't come here to bury my daughter i was kind of radical praying god i don't have to go back and tell every church that's supporting us that you weren't big enough to heal my daughter that you weren't big enough to spare her from death long story very short she and her husband ended up pastoring the church that we handed over to them 11 years ago and she's doing good i'll let you connect the dogs god healed her she's a miracle in every way what do you say who do you say i am i say you are delightful in every way perfect from every viewpoint every aspect of jesus is radiant and lovely when taken together but look on him from whatever position whatever aspect dissect him if you want to every piece of him every part of him every component of his personality every word he speaks every thing he does perfect flawless every desire of a bride can be found in him what delight he satisfies the the every longing of a life partner he's a friend and a lover he's the lover of my soul and the lover of your soul if you ask me why i love him brides to be it's because there's none like him to me everything about him fills me with holy desire and now he is my beloved my forever friend everything about him fills me with holy desire the hebrew text could actually be translated he is all desires rolled into one what's your desire today ice cream sundaes and a vacation in aruba whatever your desires are these every one of them rolled into one if you only knew how beautiful fascinating alluring winsome incredibly compassionate he is not just he was he is the same jesus is now in a glorified body on the throne and he's a sympathetic high priest of failures like me and occasionally you but it comes after us with this relentless furious love that refuses to be hindered by our excuses this eternal love it stepped out of eternity therefore it has nothing to do with you and how you live and what you've done and let's get a scandal and what you do right now it's eternal it's massive it's a love that is it it doesn't even consider your flaws doesn't even look at those flaws people will look at you and judge you and identify you by your greatest weakness they'll remember what you did eight years ago and that's who you are in their mind jesus never ever views you in the light of your history because you don't have one it ended with three nails now you only have a destiny and he speaks things that are not as though they are and he puts a crown on your head and it doesn't fit but he watches you as you grow up into it he gives you on the front end favor blessing honor and praise there's a verse that actually in the greek text says he he eulogizes you do you know what eulogize means look it up it means to speak well of there's a verse that says that that the day is coming when we'll stand before the lord and and you know his eyes are going to sift our hearts and then he's going to he's going to praise us it actually says that the love of jesus christ does not lock on to your weakness it's locked onto your destiny he sees you in glory because indeed you are glorified already in his eyes your mental capacities and your uh thoughts and your attitudes are are going to be catching up with where god has already put you now you tell me who do you think he is everything about him fills me with all desires he's altogether lovely simply because of who he is dust has been kissed with his deity and now in the flesh he's the wonderful perfect union of god and man overflowing with graces of the spirit jesus becomes the most lovely of all the sons of men fill a stadium full of your favorite guys preachers apostles prophets that can read your mail get them all in one stadium and there's gonna be one that will stand above them all all of them put together can't even come close to this one all together lovely fairest of ten thousand and there's no higher number in hebrew than that no other friend is open-hearted as jesus who shares his secrets sympathizes with us in our failures our weaknesses altogether kind as he feels our sorrows and understands our grief carries our burden as the lovely lamb who took away everything that would keep us away from god isn't he wonderful isn't he stunning breathtaking who do you say that i am he's so much more than we thought so much more than we've been told so much more than our understanding is able to contain if i had dictionaries stacked from here to the moon i would not have enough words in every language to tell you how altogether beautiful wonderful is this jesus if the world knew that there is a cool pure stream to drink from they would come not to the polluted fountain of mixture of our opinions traditions and and make-believe theologies and guilt-ridden teachings but that there was a pure stream of infinite love to drink from men and angels would come just to sip from that fountain his garment of righteousness is without seam all his perfections flow into unity and wholeness all the languages of men and angels combined cannot describe how awesome amazing he is he's awesome yet playful affectionate yet terrifying dancing with us yet breaking our hearts he's the most tender yet the most transcendent of all when you have seen him in his splendor you could never turn away from him there's nothing that will offend you when you're vulnerable to him there's nothing that could cause you to stumble but god why did this happen how can you hold to that when you're gazing in the eyes of eternity and the the maiden the song of songs the shulamite listen she has been abused by the church when she's saying these words this is the most phenomenal thing if you'll if you'll follow through the story line of song of songs in chapter five she met the watchmen who were cruel they were overseers they they took away her credentials her covering her cloak they beat her when we dramatize this it's going to be really obvious we'll may have some with a caller you know these abusive leaders that have told her who do you think you are you think you know more than we do we've been to seminary what are you saying god doesn't do that anymore and they hurt her and the the maidens surround her and say why do you love him like this you're so beautiful now anybody would desire you even others are seeing the beauty of the bride as she emerges from her darkness and she responds by saying you want to know why i love him boom she gives a tenfold description she goes from head to toe of this marvelous jesus and she ends with the verse that i read for you he is all together lovely he's all desires there's no one like him can we keep it about him can we keep it about jesus can he not be the center upon which our whole world turns our gaze our our hearing our heart our activities our ministry endeavors are feeding the poor or running to the nations may it all be for him and may that esther declaration be leaping inside of us if i perish i just get to go and be with him you see dying is gaining we don't love our lives because he does we don't have to hold our lives dear unto ourselves because our lives are dear to him and we can lay it all down if it means a jungle village of risk and and life-threatening situation it's nothing not even a sacrifice i get embarrassed even talking about it there's nothing that you could lay down for him nothing you could surrender for him that would equal what you get in return nothing he's so beautiful that's my testimony chapter 6 jump to verse uh see the four or five here it's verse five chapter six verse five now i want if if you think what i've said in the last 15 minutes about jesus is incredible wait till you hear what he says about you turn your eyes from me i can't take it anymore i can't resist the passion of these eyes that i adore overpowered by a glance uh my ravish heart undone held hostage by your love i'm truly overcome overpowered by a glance my ravished heart undone held captive by your love i'm truly overcome what in the world are we talking about that jesus would look at you as you're worshiping him as we did today when it's all about him what we bring to him not the goose bump we get not the buzz of the anointing here but what we bring to him we lift the cup of bliss to his lips drink my lover it is for you and you alone drink drink of my love and he stops and says turn your eyes for me i can't take it anymore i can't resist the passion of these eyes that i adore overpowered by a glance my wounded my ravished heart undone held captive by your love i'm truly you think you're weak look what you do to jesus you think you don't have much meaning to your life look what you do to jesus you think you know what's my life going to count what's it really going to accomplish who cares look what you do to jesus we think the wrong things it's one thing it's one man and it's one glance and it's one supreme passion that's it that's that that's that's it shrink it all down get all those 66 books down into that concept loving the lord your god with every passion every fiber every particle every cell of our being one passionate man can change the world one woman filled with holy desire will change the world all it takes is that heart of passion for him let me end with i'm closing my bible for those of you here last night i mentioned that was the sign everybody waits for is when the preacher closes his bible or seals his ipad boom lunch is coming so closing final closing i think i want to tell you the story of a man who was filled with love for god it was a monk named telemachus in the fourth century there was a monk named telemachus he lived in a secluded monastery he was outstanding in that he loved god he was known for his passionate ardent love for god and he delighted in tending his vegetable garden and this monk named telemachus one day as he was in his garden doing his favorite thing praying and hoeing the ground jesus came to him and said telemachus i have a work for you to do for me in rome the monk named telemachus couldn't shake the heavenly vision compelled by love he made way he left that cloistered setting paradise to him left his comforts left behind everything his vegetable garden at all and he made his way to decadent rome the capital of the world he'd never been to a city and from the outskirts he's he saw in front of him on the horizon the city looming before him as he approached the gates he came into the city itself stunned by its size the monk named telemachus was swept by and by in the crowd in the streets of rome and he was swept into this crowd and they were all going somewhere and he had he couldn't get loose and they they ended up arriving at a building he didn't even know existed it was in the massive coliseum of rome and he went in with the crowd only to discover that it was a place of slaughter a mortal killing mortal man with sword locked in combat until one was dead their blood spilling on the sand one after one he saw the gladiators come and stand before the emperor we who are about to die salute you o god he had enough he ran down to the railing the surrounded the arena and he climbed up this diminutive monk climbed up on the railing and shouted out for all to hear in the name of christ for bear stop but they didn't hear it was the clash of sword and spear sword and shield he jumped down into the sand ran to the middle where these two large men were engaged in killing each other and he stood there their attention they stopped and looked what is this and he said in the name of christ for bear the people of the crowd thought it was part of the show they they laughed and the men went back to hurting each other but telemachus would not stop he came right up into the middle of them and said in the name of christ for bear stop this one of them took his shield and knocked him rolling in the sand only to have him come back the third time and say it someone from the crowd shouted out run him through run him through indeed the soldier that hit him with the shield then took his sword and put it on the under his neck and opened him up all the way down to his waist falling to his knees he said one last time his dying breath in the name of christ for bear his body collapsed and the sand suddenly crimson with his blood silence came over the coliseum one man got up and left then another then another then another until the coliseum was empty never again would human blood be shed in that coliseum because of a monk named telemachus and the love he had for his beloved you can change the world you can impact nations if you will follow if you will love unto the death the king of glory who bled to death for you he loved you more than his blood more than his breath he could look at you in the eyes and say your loving kindness is better than life you were the joy set before him you were the great reward of his sufferings indeed his glorious inheritance he has now found in you and may the eyes of your heart be opened to see this glorious jesus and with an army of lovers may his majesty be unfurled throughout pennsylvania throughout franklin county throughout your family line throughout this church would you stand please the song of songs ends with jesus saying to his beautiful bride and by this time she's radiant she's come up out of her wilderness leaning into her beloved and he looks her in the eyes and he says place me as a seal over your heart as a fiery seal a burning as it were a brand let's let's hit it head on as the mark of the christ put me over your heart as a fiery seal and my fiery love cannot be put out by rivers of rejection persecution nasty web pages against you it will not be put out by the family calling you names people avoiding you it's a river of glory it's a fiery seal think of a solar flare coming over your heart i know pentecost they got it here but song of songs will put it over your heart we need it both don't we in our thoughts and in our passion accept that flame take it into your heart right now receive the fire the flashing fire of his love it's jealous fire it's more jealous than the grave it is more relentless than death and i said god as i studied this book i said god why would you compare love to death and the grave what what are you saying what are you thinking god and here's what he showed me when you're in the grave dude you ain't getting out and when you're in love with him there's no turning back there's a relentlessness that must have it all that must conquer the the one on the white horse of revelation six he's riding out to conquer he's conquering and to conquer it says in the greek text and so this man on the white horse is coming to conquer lovers and the end of revelation he comes with a whole army of lovers on white horses but he's gone out into the world on that steed a stallion of glory and he's in pure righteousness he's drawing men and women not to theology not to just uh you know a movement or to an institution or or to a building or to a meeting he's drawing us into this flame divine until there's nothing left but fire the fire of love he's told me everything you throw in the fire brian everything you throw into my fire becomes love on the other side the way to love goes through the fire this is why many turn back but whatever you put in that flame divine becomes love on the other side would you give him what he wants the most not even you know and it's not the tithe huh it's not a really cool hip song i'll tell you what he wants the most your passion your heart until you like telemachus you leave it all on the field it's the only way to live father i pray blessing on my friends i pray right now would you all put your hand over your heart a fire is coming upon you lord i release the seal of fire over these lovers of god sacrificial men and women that have already paid a price to come to the place they now are but yet there's more lord we throw our lives into this flame if we perish it's only to see your glory ignite the hearts of men and let this men's meeting uh next friday let it be so drenched with gladiator passion make russell crowe look like a wimp and lord let the women our our beautiful sisters our holy sisters let them be embraced and and and loved so deeply that they get they out radical uh the men like the woman at the well that led a city to jesus like esther that risked it all like deborah that wouldn't shut up and sit down like mary of bethany that would pour out her life's inheritance at the feet of jesus touch the men and women let our children of this church be so anointed that we raise up champions so release now that seal of fire the seal of acceptance seal of approval seal of sonship the seven seals the seven sealing of the holy spirit until we become the seven sealed scroll in your right hand more lord fill us god with that flame until our family doesn't recognize us anymore and we live up to the reputation they put on us you fanatic we leave our shalom in this house we pray for mark and dawn we thank you for their lives their family lord the beautiful way they lead this house the wonderful way they inspire men to be men thank you for dawn the secret weapon not so secret anymore lord raise her up give her a megaphone to speak into the region bless their lovely children their extended family every leader in this house touch the under 40 crowd god touch him get him if you have put any fire in my life if there's any even one radical bone in my body i give it to them and leave it here for the under 40s let them change the world so pray this prayer with me lord jesus i take you as my seal of fire i place you over my heart forevermore rivers of pain rivers of persecution will not extinguish this fire if i were to give up everything i had owned for this flame i could not even call it a sacrifice i thank you for your love i want to move your heart i want to conquer your heart until you have to say to me turn your eyes from me i can't take it anymore i ask it in jesus name amen i feel very strongly that we need to return this blessing to you so we want to stand as sons and daughters brothers and sisters beloved family to you we stretch out our hearts and our arms and hands to you we return to you our deepest blessings this fire that burns within us for him we honor you with it and we bless you to keep going and to not stop to leave the fullness of the inheritance the lord put on the inside of you in the earth jesus we ask that the funnel widened from heaven into the sins more abundance revelation virtue blessing provision we as family ask for it to be abundantly dumped out in and over them that they would experience the fullness of what it means to be faithful we bless we have a a divine exchange that takes place in this moment we receive your blessing completely and fully we just say amen to that we receive your blessing the words that the lord has spoken in you and to you for us we receive them well and we will run the race set before us we do not take lightly what has been given to us but we also return to you the overflow may you run your race now you have greater strength deeper rest eyes that see and ears that hear in ways they had never have before a discernment of spirit be yours that cuts through and brings the purity of our jesus to the earth father we're so honored to have brian and candace among us and like mark said we do not take lightly what they've poured out into each one of us here and the things that they've they've shared of your heart and the things that they continue to have in their heart dreams in their hearts father we ask that you join them in fulfilling them and we speak blessing over their lives we speak life abundant life even as we declared this morning their vision is so great and we just stand with them knowing that these things will be fulfilled as he's shared little seeds of the things that he sees that he still has in his heart to do together they will do them thank you and we honor you both we love you thank you for who you are to the earth and to us i'd like to give to them and uh financially um there's two ways
