to me this just absolutely kills anddemolishes obsidian I mean it demolishesobsidian at such an astronomical levelthat yeah I don't think I'm gonna begoing back which is heartbreaking for mebecause it was such a beautiful tool andI spent hundreds of hours like making itjust amazing I even built a crazy pythonscript that would just send a text tomyself and that python script just runsand automatically takes my iMessagessyncs them up in my obsidian I got itreally souped up but still because ofthis one killer appI had to kind of say goodbye to obsidian
I bring you big newsI have used almost every tool out thereunder the sun for personal KnowledgeManagement and note taking from logsackto obsidian to Rome research to notionto craft Evernote Apple notes everythingand I've been looking for a way to builda second brain second brain essentiallyjust in case you don't know is a method
of storing information that you couldretrieve at any point later it couldhelp you with your creative output itcould help you solve problemsand Ali Abdullah and Thiago Forte talkabout second brains all the time and howhelpful it is for them and so when I sawthem I thought man I need to make asecond brain of my own that isabsolutely incredibleso before I go and show you thisabsolutely killer tool and why it'skiller I have to give you a little bitof context before we actually jump into
it okay or if you're just like don'twant to watch this part just skip tothat I've used obsidian pretty heavilymy obsidian setup is all souped up I'm ahuge nerd when it comes to all thisstuff so if you go to websitian it isjacked I mean it's like I got Omni surgeI got Advanced slides I got you know allthe key plugins that you need to be ableto go into full screen mode to be ableto go data View and sort things by timeand dates and you know all kinds ofcrazy stuff the graph view is somethingI use all the time and it's been veryhelpful for me to be able to put my
information synthesize sense make out ofmy notesand to deeply reflect and take a look atwhat I'm doing and then I also would useobsidian canvas quite a bit to be ableto visualize my fonts out there and Iwould use Excalibur which is a plug-inyou can get inside of obsidian thatallows you to kind of draw and it writesin handwriting which is really awesomeand I love thatbut mainly obsidian was a place where Icould take notes and I could look at thethread of those notes and then visualize
so you know and it started off the rethe reason why the whole thing startedoff was because I was just so frustratedwith the fact thatall of my books that I read would justdie in Kindle because like who's gonnago into Kindle and then if you want toremember a quote you have to like go tothat specific book well most of thetimes I don't even remember what book Iread the quote from I often just knowwhat it was about and I often just knowthat I don't know the author's name Idon't remember anything else
and so like did I read that in Prophetfirst or did I read the book did I readthat from a book outwitting The Devilbut Napoleon like I don't know and sofirst I have to remember that then I inKindle you gotta go to that actualKindle you got to go to your highlightsand then go within the the book and thenlook at the I mean it's crazy rightnobody's gonna do that I don't do thatcertainly and so first it just startedoff with how if I highlight books and Itake notes in these books how can I justget it out of the freaking book
so I came acrossuh read wise which allows you to takeyour information and put it elsewhereand it syncs to Kindle and then it takesit from Kindle and puts it other placesI thought okay that's beautiful that'sawesome and then read wise you couldessentially connect it to whatever youwant and so I tried reflect I wanted toget an app that no taped that allowedyou to do backlinking okay backlinkingis this concept that allows you tocreate networked thoughts and to make itless nerdy it's like each of your
thoughts connects to the otherand so if you have a lot of thoughtsabout one thing you'll have this graphthat you'll be able to see and they'llpoint to each other and most tools mostnotes don't have that like for exampleApple notes does not have the ability tobacklink and so if you had a note inthere that talked about your teamexpenses which I often look at or myexpenses in general and I wanted to makea new noteI can't refer to that previous note thatI've made it's like I have to start from
scratch again or I have to go find thatand it doesn't really understand thosethings or if I say likeif my girlfriend had some things thatshe likesyou know and I maybe wrote that across10 or 15 different notes I can't justclick in one place and all of the thingsthat she loves come in one place and sothose were a lot of my problems withApple notes and stuff like that eventhough I like the ability to be able tocapture things quick I didn't like thatit my all my knowledge and all mynote-taking wasn't turning into a
valuable intellectual property it wasn'tturning into a valuable asset and assomebody who makes a living out ofintellectual property by speakingcapturing thoughts sharing it with anaudienceI realized that my biggest Roi comesfroma tool that allows me to capture notessynthesize them distill them Expressthemmy living and for a lot of us we'reknowledge workers even I mean most jobsare now knowledge workers if youwork at a bank if you wherever you work
you're a software developer I mean allof these are knowledge heavy jobs evenif you're become trying to become adoctor or whatever you know trying to gointo I.T all of these are knowledgebased jobs soI thought okayI need something that does Networkthinking so I knew that Apple notes andGoogle keep this and that ever no likethose weren't the tools that I was gonnago with like I knew that for a factbecause I needed something that wasreally smart could have relevantsearches and connect thoughts back to
each other so I knew it was like thosewere all in my brain kind of outwell then I fell down the rabbit hole ofyou know all these tools like obsidianand lock SEC and REM notes andRome research all that stuff I triedreflect as another new one so I triedreflect but it wasuh their graph just kind of sucked andum it's kind of way too basic eventhough they made it beautiful but it's
not as fast and it's kind of like waytoo basic and so I got rid of thatand then I triedum Rome research that is just hideousand it's too slow so I I'm just like noother room research because I need it tobe user friendly have a good experienceand still be able to do all the advancedstuff that they allow you to douh lock sack I forget why I didn't likeit but there was some reason but Idecided not to go with that either andthen obsidian was the one that I
actually stuck with because obsidian hadpretty much everything you could want inan app and then it was kind of like this1980s Mustang that you could just soupup and take it from like 200 horsepowerto like a thousand horsepower and youcan just make it jacked and so forexample once I added my data views I mybackground is a programmer so I couldwrite my queries and I couldyou know haveuh like I could have all my employeesand I could have cards for each of them
and then I could put their salaries inthere and then I could write one querythat could search across all mycontractors or employeestotal up their salary and show it as atable and then also spit out the finalresultand then anytime I had to fire somebodyfrom the team or they weren't I wouldjust go change their status to inactiveor I would just go change their salaryif I had you know if their salary hadmoved up or gone down and then I wouldcome back and my data data view query
that like query that I wrote would beautomatically updated so I thought thatwas pretty awesome because I couldreference things from different notesand this program I couldprogrammatically like show all that datain a new note without having to alwaysgo and find that note and refer back toit so I thought that was really reallycool and it could dynamically do thatand so it for me combined the benefitsof a spreadsheet because I would oftenhave to go to spreadsheet to do all mycalculations and then I would have to goto my notes to do my thinking and I
would never remember where I keptsomething I'm like was it an Excel sheetwas it a note was it in a text message Isent to somebody it was it an apple noteand I would not be able to retrieve theinformation so I would just keep redoingthe same work again and again and againlike hundreds of times and I thoughtlike all of this is stupid you know weneed to have this in one place and so anobsidian it was nice because I couldkeep things in one placeyou know once youoftentimes people like it looksoverwhelming and stuff well with a few
plugins you could make it look likenotion essentially I even have it whereI can put a cover in the back or like anicon for my thing and so my my obsidianlooks very beautiful it looks verysimple and so that was goodand I got pretty good at the wholeobsidian thing I had ton tons of noteson there nowthen I researched a lot of differenttools and here's a tool that I foundthat ended up showing promise at the
start and then ultimatelyI actually think ended up being betterthan evenumobsidianlikethat to me sounds crazy to to even saythat sounds crazybut I'll show you why and to me thisjust absolutely kills and demolishesobsidian I mean it demolishes obsidianat such an astronomical level that yeah
I don't think I'm gonna be going backwhich is heartbreaking for me because itwas such a beautiful tool and I spenthundreds of hours like making it justamazing I had to kind of say goodbye toobsidian and this one killer app it'scalled mem AI if you have looked it upyou'll probably be like oh you got to bekidding me that thing is garbageum compared obsidian right you mightthink that or if you have never lookedit up you might be like what is thisthing and before you go and do your own
research and look into this here'swhat's going to happen like this is whathappened with me I downloaded mem andthen I saw some tutorials and saw somepeople talking about it and I'm likethis is kind of like whack I mean itjust looks like a normal like even if Ishow you the interface right now rightit looks like kind of a normal appuh nothing looks that crazy impressiveabout it like what are people trippingabout why what's so crazy about it andhonestly even when I looked up onlineeven their own guides are in my opinion
quietbad like quite terrible like none ofthem actually list out the key benefitof this app like the number one biggestbenefit which I'm going to talk aboutwhich that benefit alone takes overeverything like itit yeah that benefit alone is worthso much it's crazy so let me show you alittle bit soI'm inside of mem and I'll show you thebasic stuff first some like some of thecool stuff first some of the cute stuffsome of the stuff that just you know isnormal stuff slash maybe they do it a
little bit better I'll show you thatfirstand then I'll show youuhthen I'll show you like theactual thing that makes it killer okayso I'll share that with you like alittle bit later let me just kind ofshow you some of the basic stuff that itcould do so if I come in here and Istart writing first of all I really lovethe Simplicity of their UI ux so startwriting okayI am working on a YouTube video[Music]and as you notice right as soon as I
started writing everything vanished Ilove that I love being in a focused modeI hate writing like if I show you I'mobsidian rightif I show you mapsidian right you cansee my obsidian isclean you know it's it's very very cleanand usually I even hideusually I'll even hide this partI'll even hide that like that and that'show I'll be writing in my obsidian
that's how obsidian looks right and if Igo to My Graph view you could see myobsidian is crazy so I'm not just like alight user of obsidian right I use it alot if I want to take a look at my notesfor a book I just type in rework andthen I go in and I'm like okay here areall my notes for that book rework andyou can see them and so all of thatstuff I love an obsidian don't get mewrongbut let me show younow okay so first of all I liked that as
soon as I start writing it goes in Focusmode and everything vanishes and as soonas I hover it knows that I'm trying tolook at my thoughts on the right handside or something else and so it justbrings them up which is awesome forcontextsothat is some simple stuff right otherstuff you could do is if I'm talkingabout a month in thisso I could be likeamanathis working on short form content
our team and so I can mention him andthen the cool thing is it will show himon the right hand side so now I can seehim on Earth here and everything kind ofrelated to Amana we could see here onthe right hand sideif I get out of thereand at the top it says share now so thisallows you to share and collaboratewhich is a huge plus because in obsidianthat was kind of a nightmare that Icouldn't collaborate with people and
everything was just yeah it's local andthat's cool but besides nerds on RedditI mean who really cares right like Idon't really care oh it's local so it'ssafer like what are you doing are you acriminal do you have something to hideif you don't have anything to hide thenwhat the are you talking about ohuhshut up likeyou know I don't know what these guysare talking about but you know the mainthing is yo like you canyou everything is stored on the cloud soeverything syncs well right with
obsidian that I had to like figure outobsidian sync we have to figure out somekind of solution to make the sync workthen images kind of suck in obsidian soif I post an image here the image islike not going to show up on your phonebecause it's all local and so this willnot do that if you have an image youcould have it in one place you could seeit everywhere right so boom anywaysum any concept that I want to referenceI could reference so like if I have a MrBeast quote that I want to referenceyou know I can reference that note and
if I click it here that oh no it willopen up on this side and I can take thatquote and I can put it in here rightfigure out how to get to 70 retention onYouTube that should be your only focusokay so this is so far kind of you knowthe basic stuff I can tag Concepts andthen it can open up those Concepts andit can tell me things that are similarto this so anything that kind ofmentions YouTube or talks about YouTubeand stuff it'll show it here which isvery niceand so that's you know key stuff if I
want to share this with the team it's aseasy as I just hit clever programmerteam and they'll share it with my teamor if I want to share it with somespecific person it's even giving me asuggestion here I can hit share and I'llshare it with uha minus right as you could see boom itdid it I can also revoke access if Iwanted to Boom okay so very easy toshare stuff now if I want to searchstuff so one of the things that I woulddo is umyou know write down what are thedeliverables that I've talked about with
my team members you know so I'll saysomething like I'll text myselfsomething like this I'll say Frankiesays he will produce 20 shorts thismonth and you can see it automaticallytagged Frankie I didn't have to put atsymbol I didn't have to put you knowobsidian style double bracket it I don'thave to do the work it does the work forme and so that was a big key thing thatwas likeit can organize for me and it can thinkfor me and it can show me relevant stuff
without me having to really do anythingand when I think about that over aperiod of three months six months oneyear two years five years that's hugebecause right now yeah I'm excited aboutobsidian so I'll do all the nerdy stuffI'll double bracket everything and youknow I'll put everything correctly I'llmake my links properly you know inmarkdownbut honestly in the long run will Ireally do that probably not and I'lljust go back to using something justsimple to use and even their mobile app
is like seems very complicated anddaunting and so here just everything issuper easy right automatically detectedthat I'm talking about a person and Isay he says he will produce 20 shortsthis month and usually what I would dois I would hashtag it with deliverablesum and so if I want to see hey what arethe team's deliverables I can say I canjust ask it I could go deliverablesand hit enter and boom it'll just showall the deliverables that I talked aboutso the search functionality is reallyvery nice I mean that's another key
thing that it in my opinion is waybetter than obsidian because theirsearch is kind of trash like comparethis search to likethis search here like if I just type ineven not case sensitive it doesn't evenfind anything about badros and it's likeoh you mentioned them only in one spotand like even how I had to get here isso ugly right I had to open up my tab onthe left hand side I had to go commandshift fand then it starts a search process andthen I can't really see much here
right and then if I go capital B thenit's like oh well why don't you saycapital B because yeah you've mentionedBabe Ruth a lot and it's like why isthat such an aggressive search andreally do you honestly do all thesethings when you're searching like whenwas the last time you used path or tagor file name even when you're searchingyour Google emails you don't do that youjust search with words you know mostpeople do and yeah like nobody reallyuses that stuff so their search is kindof trash in that sense and there areother searches like this which like is
good for finding file like path namesbut it can't search for Content insideof that file which is annoying and soyeah I got omnisearch you know I knowsome some nerd will be like but youhaven't tried on Research you could tryomnis surgeonsI'm aware of omnisearch it's okay itstill doesn't give you and make it asrelevant as this when I hit enter and Iget this right like for example I couldeven say mems with YouTube links youknow or let's just write mems and um I
could ask it like with YouTube linksright and boom it'll just give me allthe key stuff that has YouTube linksum and so that's pretty cool like youcan't necessarily do it and it's itseems like it's all Native right and soit can do that for you so that I findvery very valuable to be able to do inone placeokay so that is pretty cool now anotherfunctionality that comes out of thepretty much out of the box is you could
text yourself so if you see thesethoughts that I have here these arethoughts these five that are uncheckedthese are five thoughts I recentlytexted myself actually this morning andthese are not for this video tutorialthese are actual thoughts that I wantedto send myself you know like I wascoming up with the title of this videoand so I was like why stop usingobsidian for this killer tool or why Ileft obsidian for this you could see itsays from textum and I could demo it in front of youbut like I'll open up my phone right now
and uhI will just say something okay so I'lljust saytesting this for theYouTube vidand I'll hit enterokay and boom there you go right youcould already seethat um it's showing upmy that thought that I just wrote tomyself is showing up so that's very easybecause you could capture all of your
thoughts pretty much from anywhere thatyou areit doesn't matter where you are now likelet's say I'm onlineand I'm reading something by Mr Beastbecause I love Mr Beast and so it's likeokay uh what are I'm looking at like thefive Mr Beast quotes right and let's saythere's a quote that I really likedso my overarching goal in life is tomake a lot of money and then before Idie give it awayand so I like this just hit so there's
something called mem Spotlight so Icould actually use it from anywhere Icould just hit command shiftum enter space and it not only opens itup but it has it highlighted and evenhas a source Link in there and I canjust say save selection to a new mem andI can just hit enter and I could justhit command enter right there and if Igo back to my mem sometimes it takes asecond but it'll always show up in hereso sometimes it'll happen we'll take asecond I wish they improved the speed ofthat because to me that was like
annoying or I was like wait where is itbut yeah sometimes it takes a second butit'll still show up in here so in termsof like capturing your thoughts it'llalways show upso we'll give it a second and we'll seekind of let it do its thing but this isvery helpful because oftentimesoftentimes this is what will happen sothis is an actual group chat that I haveand in here amanath just linked meum you know a YouTube video and he'slike hey we should create a YouTubevideo like this let's copy this I'musing a different texting app so that's
why it's having like a little bit oftrouble there but you can see I justpasted it hereokay I just pasted this and now all thethings are in there so it's like I can Ican just call it uhvideo ideas by amanathyeahumyou know and I could say hashtag videoideas#youtubeand hit enter
and let's go back to my mem and you cansee my overarching goal in life is tomake a lot of moneyright and um I can sayMr Beastjust so it's titled properly like it's aMr Beast overarching boom there we gookay so it's a quotesthere we goall right so now that's save right and
then the other thing that I just savedwill also be showing up in here so thatSpotlight is very easy to use if you'rereading an article or you really liked ahighlight for something an obsidian youhad to use like many different weirdhacks or some kind of plugin that you'llhave to use here you don't have to doany of that you could pull it prettyinstantly from anywhere and then addyour own thoughts on top of it as wellso there you go video ideas by amanathit just showed upso I can click it it shows me a bunch of
different video ideas in here okayperfect so let's get out of hereall right so that's kind of like how theseamlessly the notes work and then Ialso like that they're just alreadysorted by date so you could see yourrecent and your inbox or this is prettymuch where I'm at most of the time likeall the stuff that is recent to me ishere and then what I like about this isum let's say that I had one of my team
members share a thought with me it'llpop up as an inbox in here and they'llmake it go to inbox 7 or inbox eightthis is actually for me worth having aninbox notification for because mostlyeverywhere else including on my phone ifI showed you I'm on I'm on do notdisturb everywhere so like my phone's onyou probably can't see it but like yousee it's dark right so Aman did notdisturb everywhereI don't have any notifications everhappening and so most places I don'twant notifications but in this tool I
want notifications because it's eithermy thoughts or it's my team membersthoughts and it's highly curated and soI'm okay with having an inbox here andbecause these are thoughts I'm sendingto myself so I want to make sure I goread them and then once I'm done readingthem I just hit tick mark Or I just hitclick on them and it'll mark them as rednow the other thing that I really likeis having my upcoming meetings on thetop right hand side here so I'll be ableto see it like this event I don't reallycare about this is not really a meeting
so I can just hide it but I have allthese meetings coming up tomorrow what'snice about this is I could actually justhit enterand now I can just start writing in herewhenever it's time for meeting and youcould see that it's already it knows I'mon usright and it already has the eventmarked and it's associated with themonitor so you can see all the thingsthat I've been talking or thinking abouta monitor here so like if I had you knowhis performance isn't well or hisperformance was really good all thatstuff will be relevant here so rightwhen I'm about to get on the meeting I
don't have to context switch I knowexactly what's happening who I'm talkingto what it's going to be aboutum I'll give you an example like Iactually had a meeting oh this is thisis crazy but I I want to show you thislater okay so this killer thing I wantto show you at the end I promise it'llbe worth the payoff and if you justreally can't wait you can always skip tolike you know near the end of the videowhere I'll be talking about this partthe really Killer partyeah so anyway so upcoming meetings is
helpful for me because anytime I need totake notes I could just do it there andflows is something that allows you toextend it so if you really if you're onTwitter a lot you could mem it forTwitter and you click one thing andit'll save it to your mem every note youmake in your mem app is called a mem sosave it in hereand then you'll be able to you know youlook at that and then you have text soyou can text yourself and you havecalendars that's how I synced mycalendars okay so let me get out of hereand then groups is how I have thatclever programmer team and anybody
that's in here you share stuff withso far right all this stuffis very helpful everything is here nowum a few more things that I want to showyou before I go to the Killer part Iknow I know I'm dragging it out it'slike Kazi I promise it's not to clickbait you it's to like blow yourmind but I just gotta set it up theright way so you just gotta give me asecond here okay I'm almost done I swearto God I'm almost done here so anotherthing I really like is oftentimes fortasks I had to use todoist or some other
tooland in obsidian when I try to do tasksthere were people talking about thesecrazy queries and mental gymnastics togo search Vault wide and then pull allyour tasks and put it in one place I waslike this is crazy here's what's coolabout it if I'm writing down a note hereso let's say this is my Note Oneuh and like clean and then I write Note2 another note and here I write cook soyou saw these were two different notesright so oftentimes what happens is you
start to lose track of all of yourto-do's because you're writing them downin different places well the cool thinghere is even though they were written inNote 1 and Note 2 two different placesif I go to tasksI can just see all my tasks of todayboom in one place and this task if Idon't care about it or don't need to doanything I can um you know hide it justby hitting leftif my cooking is something that I'm done
with I could hit check mark and hit doneand if a task I just want to do later Icould actually hover over on it and Ican hit rightand I could just say hey send me thissame mem or this task this weekend soyou could do the same thing with yourthoughts and ideas as well so if youhave likethoughts that you've sent to yourself sothis strategy here or add customspreadsheet you're like well I kind ofdon't really want to do it right now youcould just remind yourself
tomorrow about the same thingand then they'll push it to tomorrow solike let's say I do this and I just saidtomorrowat 3 pmdone so snooze until so it's gone andtomorrow when I come into my inbox it'llshow up at the top and I'll be like ohcool okay let me work on that and sothis is more for like not notificationor reminder stuff in my mind this ismore so forif I'm working on ideas that might turninto videos later right becauseultimately the goal is ultimately the
goal is creative output like what am Iactually outputting for people what arethe thoughts that I'm sharing that's mynumber one way to judge a tool okay allright nowon to the Killer partso the AI on this tool is killer that'swhat makes it the best tool on themarket now I know what you're thinkingyou're like oh Causey everything has AInow dude like notion has Ai and
craft house AI which it does and likeliterally everything under the sun hasan AI I know I know I knowjust hear me out this AI is completelydifferent this is revolutionary AI soum you know obviously it could do simplestuff like this if I just hit slash andI said continue writing for me and thisis the most obvious stuff right it willuse whatever I have here to writesomething for me
boom there we go with its powerful AIcapabilities this tool is a must-havefor anyone looking to blah blah blahblah blah blah okay nobody cares that'slikeeasy stuff that pretty much all AI toolscan do now right uh obviously Chachi PTcould do this and then you have notioncan do it and a bunch of other stuffcould do it now here's the Killer partwatch this I can actually sayuh what does Mr B say
about retentioncheck this out it says figure out how toget to 70 retention on YouTubethat should be your only focus now wherethe hell did it just get this fromhere's where I got it from so let me goto Mr Beast quotes and there we go okayMr B's quotes figure out how to get to70 retention on YouTube that should beyour only focus and now going back to
our doc that we're working on it pulledthat out so notice how I didn't evenhave to go there it could actuallyleverage the information that's alreadythereI'll give you another examplehere I told it YouTube monetizationstrategies for a YouTube Workshop masterclass that I'm working onand I just wrote all the strategies hereboom like that rightuh four they're really key fourstrategies like AdSense sponsorship
services and then products that's kindof what I saidso let's go back hereand keep in mind it's a completelydifferent note and now I can ask it uhgive meuhhow can I monetize YouTube okay so youcan ask it kind of in whichever way youwant and let me hit enter and Watch WhatHappenssometimes certain parts of the answersare kind of like and when yourealize that you could just cut it out
and you're like okay this is not usefulto me but some of the other parts thatare helpful you can actually just keepthose partsboom there we go and so it's sayingYouTube monetization strategies includeAdSense sponsorship offering servicessuch as agency or coachingselling products such as digitalphysical Goods as a YouTuber so like letme show you right let me open this up onthe right hand side and you could seethe match from here to here is reallyhigh yeah there's some stuff in
here like provide discounts andincentives to keep viewers coming backlike whatum so some parts it just kind of goesnuts you could cut that out I don'treally need that like that's fluffbut all of this part it actually gotrightand obviously you can have it formattedand stuff too so it'd be like okayum how can I monetize YouTubeum make it a numbered list keep it shortor something right you could give itthese prompts that essentially tell it
hey this is how I want it boom there wego and that's pretty much itum and these are the four or five waysright and it turned it into five wayseven though I have it as four ways butI've it I merge digital physicalproducts it made them as two which istotally fineand so these are the four or five waysand it just listed them all out which Idon't know to me is pretty mind-blowinglike this is revolutionary that's
never been done before I mean this isstate of the art AI like we've never asa normal user you and I had theopportunity to take AI artificialintelligence and train it on our owndata this is the first time we're ableto do that and this is something evenyou know obvious like Chad GPT you coulddo to some extent but Chad GPT is onlycontext aware of like a specific chatthat you have going on so if you don'thave something in that specific chatyou're screwed here it can search like
literally infinitely wide it readsthrough every single thing so it couldstudy and learn from and study theentire Corpus of my entire knowledgebase and then give me a specific answerbased on thathere's another example what will qazisay if I told him to stop doing YouTubeso let's see what it will let's see whatit says qazi would likely say that hehas worked hard to build a successfulYouTube business and that he's not
willing to give up on it okay he wouldemphasize the importance of stayingfocused and committed to achieving hisgoalsyep there we go so where is it pullingthis information fromso let's see did I ever share anythingon this I think it was called somethinglike singular Focus yeah there we goOkay cool so now let me open thisand I had written a note some time agoor yesterday actually and I had said I'mRafa Kazi focus on YouTube and
everything else say no to all otheropportunities and now if I go back inhere you can see that it is leveragingthat and it's saying that he would sayhe's not willing to give up on it AKA hewould stay focused on that and not leaveit and do something else and he says theimportance of staying focused right andcommitted and so if I go to this noteyou could seesay no to all other opportunities soit's using the knowledge that I've givenit it's it's trained on that
you know that islike to me that's kind of nuts here letme show you another one that'sabsolutely blown my mind so what I didis um I made a summary of this bookcalled profit first okay profit firstand so I went to James clear's booksummaries and I put bunch of his notesin here that he took so these are youknow notes James Clear who's the authorof atomic habits took so I'm like okaythese have to be good notes so I put
them in here as a summary and I put thatin here as well from himand then I also put uh I went intoprofit first it has the the key one ofthe biggest things about profit first islike it has this table that tells youwhere specifically your profit marginshould be based on what Revenue rangeyou're in so for example like right hereuhyou know that book tells you okay ifyou're between 250 000 to 500 000 rangeor 500 000 to 1 million your profit
should be 15 owners pay should be twentypercent tax should be this operatingexpenses for the business should be 50Etc and so this is something I alwayshave to refer to and I'm always likeit's confusing and then I gotta like dothe math for it and I gotta do all thiscrazy stuff for itbut now that I've put this book in hereit makes the book come to life likewouldn't it be amazing if this bookcould answer questions for you likeabout profit if you had questions
so watch this okayum let's say I ask itum so questions so let's say I ask itokay let's say what is my current annualRevenue give me one number keep it shortokayso let's see if it knows what my currentannual revenue isyep there we go that is perfectly rightbecause I had told it before I had told
it that I have five or six clients andthis is exactly how much each client ispaying me from five thousand to tenthousand dollars per monthand it used that to know that that wastwenty five thousand dollars per monthand it knows that that's three hundredthousand dollars annually so that isabsolutely perfectokay uh now I can ask itumwhat are my total expenses
uh in a monthgive me one number keep it shortokayso it says my total expenses areestimated to be about twenty sixthousand five hundred dollars okay so itknows and that's from like a differentnote that I had taken about my expensesso this is from one note about myexpenses and this is from a differentnote about all of my current clients andI never added up any numbers it's alsodoing the math so it's searching across
all that and it's doing all the math nowwatch thisI can ask itum you knowaccording to profit firstum how muchprofit would I keepuh frommy current yearly Revenueright so even if this none of this ishere like what if I even if I remove
that it's like even if it's not thereit's still do it because it'll it'ssearching like from everything and solet's see what it says okay I'll removethis for a second and then I can bringit back later okay now I'll hit enterthere we go okay so according to profitfirst the profit on the current yearlyRevenue would be so just so you havereference point so let's see if it didit correctlywould be twenty percent which is sixtythousand dollars
this is calculated by taking 20 forprofit twenty percent for owners and sowhat's twenty percent of three hundredthousand so three hundred thousandand then 20 of that so let's go waitthat's not three hundred thousand twentypercent of that that is sixty thousanddollars that is actually absolutelycorrect and how did it do this let meshow you that as well so let's go profitfirst just link that book and I'll openit on the right hand side here
and I had written out these ranges hereso I said between 250k to 500k these arethe numbers between 500k to 1 millionthese are the numbers to go furtherwhat it also did is it linked that pageto so I can actually go and take a lookat that page and you can see hereit's linking to that image it alsounderstood that that was the image thatI needed and so I don't have to searchfor my image I can just ask it questionsit can look across my entire knowledge
baseand using AI genuine AI give me thestuff that I need to know and so nowwith in this waymy book profit first notes have come tolife it's not just this passive thingthat's sitting there I can reasonthrough that so for example if I can ifI ask itum you knowis it more important to grow my top linerevenue for me
or should I becomeshould I lean out and becomeprofitablefirstso let's see what it says on thisit is important to focus on beingprofitable first before attempting togrow and so how is it telling me thisprofit must be the focus and should comefirst before any other expenses and solet's see does it say that in here
expensesexpensesbefore you pay your expenses take yourprofit first right so it's actuallypulling that information from here andgiving it to megrowth is only half of the equation itis important to sure the profit is bakedinto the business before attempting togrowso here growth is only half the equationis an important half but it's still onlyhalfit is important to take profit firstfigure out the things that make profittake profit first right figure out the
things that make profit and then it saysdump the things that don't right so dumpthe things that don'tand and to never have any debt so I saiddestroy debt never have any debt onlyoperate from profit this was my notethat I added to it only operate fromprofit and so it is actually able toanswer the question of what I need to bedoing right now to grow my business andit's saying hey before you focus ongrowing your top line revenuecut and become profitable first lean out
and then grow from hereumand so I don't know to me that is justthat's mind-blowing I mean that is justone of the most profound things thatI've ever experienced I mean this hasfor me this has a real real value and Ihave a real incentive for storing moreinformation I mean the only incentivedon't get me wrong look obsidian isgreat but the only incentive that I havethere to store more information is so Icould get like nicer graphs you know
which there's nothing wrong with buthonestlyit's not something I use all the time Imean it's cool but it's not somethingI'm using like all the damn timeright so if I actually go hereyou see this whole thing like yeah it'scool when you see it alland right now I'm animating it's allgonna like you know happen form it'sgonna look cool butfor my knowledge to work like this where
it can pull from my knowledge and thentell me things and then calculate if Iask it to calculate my Runway it coulddo that because it could look across allmy notes across any time let me show yousomething useful okay so I you know Ihad this meeting with Trev earlierand he's somebody who's potentiallyinterested in becoming a customer and uhworking with meand so if I actually want to come upwith notes for him in my next meeting solet's say I have another meeting comingup so I'll say this fake meeting
well what do I need usually whenever youhave a meeting with somebody you needyour notes on the right hand side and sonow I have my notes uh you know if I goTrevright I got my notes on the right handside which is actually super helpful forme but on top of that why do I needthose relevant notes because I want toknow what we talked about last time andwhat we need to talk about this timethat's usually one of the key things you
should do so I can actually just ask ituh what are the relevantpoints to hit in our upcoming meetingwith Trev hit enterand watch what it'll do let's see whatit doesin the upcoming meeting with Trevdiscuss the progress of the equipmentbeing sent to him review the contractand Associate the cost and go over theYouTube toolkit for Content creatorsthat's perfect the other stuff is notthat useful for me I can get rid of it
but this part here is actually hyperhyper relevant this is still pretty kindof relevant like it'll remind me of whatwe talked about and stuff but for meright now what I need to have done andthis is completely accurate so I couldactually show you that in my actionsteps here for Trev you could see that Ihad put these as action steps send himcamera equipment uh ecam for Travequipment for Trav send him to contracthow much it will be send him YouTubetoolkit for Content creators and it has
all of that stuff uh my meeting with himand I have everything there and then assoon as the meeting is done I hit sharenow and then node is sharedman sothere's honestly so freaking much butthat book one impressed the hell out ofme that was probably one of my mostfavorite ones when it happened I wasjust shocked I was likeholy hell like I can't even imagine onceI have 10 books or 20 books or 50 books
that I've read in there with all myhighlights and all my notesand then I ask it about hiring orprofitability I don't have to look forhashtag hiring and then look for a graphwhat connects to hiring oh I could justsay I'm about to hire this person manshould I hire him right now or no and itwill go based on the book reworkyou shouldnot hire this person right now becausethey currently don't have this skill setbut also based on the book profit first
you shouldn't hire right now becauseyou're not profitable yet so one lookfor somebody with XYZ criteria asmentioned in book rework and twobecome profitable firstand then once you've hit those two stepsthen you can hireyou know so and so person and it's likeoh my God that is beautiful it's allthat knowledge being baked in coming outto help you and I think that's the
truest way we learn as human beings weask questions I'm not going to my mentorbeing like hashtag books hashtagcollections I'm going hey what are thebest books that you would recommend tome hey what are what's the number onebook on like moneyand if this thing you teach it all thatstuff you could just ask it questionsand it'll bring it up to you and put itright here and if you're trying to makea script for a video and you have like20 different thoughts on YouTube you
could just be like hey oh this is themonetization section uh just ask it whatare the monetization strategies boom itfills it out for you oh what are thebeliefs required to succeed on YouTubeBoom it fills it out from you not fromrandom garbage online but from your owncurated heavily curated crystallizedthoughts and data so to me this is theepitome of capturing fastsynthesizing your thoughts intosomething that make into something that
makes senseand honestly sense making and connectionmaking of your thoughts and notes beyondanything I've ever seen before I don'tknow any other tool that does this oreven comes close to doing thiscraft notion everything else has onlythey can only read from one documentkind of like Chad GPT this is the veryfirst time we've experienced this and togive you guys a little bit of insightinto this too open AI is behind memsTeam mem dot a I open AIS behind them an
open AI had 100 million dollars toinvest in any startups AI startups andthey were very selective and they're noteven going to choose probably more than10 it's going to be less than 10.and their first startup that they wentup went with was mem Ai and thisinvested about 23 million dollars intothis because they believe in thistechnology and what it has to offer andso watch out for this I think it's onlygoing to get better it's going to getstronger
it's going to get jacked now before Iend the video I just want to share withyou kind of one caveat it's on pricingof this thing so the pricing is the onlything that's kind ofeh so like there is a monthly pricingso you could do for free you can't doany of the AI stuff but you could dopretty much everything else I've showedyou so there's a lot that you could doit's free you could just use the freeversion and you'll be pretty good for awhileum but what I found to be the case is I
wanted to use the page so paid is eightdollars per monthand umwhere it kind of becomes problematic isthe AI things that you have every querycosts you one creditand that's annoying so on top of theeight dollars per month if I want to usethe AI queries they cost me sosince I'm kind of I I'm refilling mymeter with this essentially cost me like
15 cents per AI query so like if I wrotesix queries that's like one dollar formeum and so I keep refilling it you knowI'll pay for it but that's the onlything I kind of hate about it it's likeseems ridiculous like okay half you knowI I had 250 queries that I signed up forand out of them likeout of thema hundred were probably errors like ahundred were either I didn't like the
result or Iput something you know that was justlike a small thing and I was just I justkept refining and refining it and sothat was kind of annoying part for meand then monthly subscription is umcoming soon which is a good part so I'mlooking forward to if they can switchthis credit thing to a monthlysubscription so wouldn't have to paysome crazy amounts like we could justpay a monthly subscription of like 10 20bucks a month 30 bucks a month and then
you could just kind of use it unlimitedbut just keep in mind that nothing elsehas this ability like nothing else hasthis ability that ma'am has to grabeverything from everywhere and put it inone placenow here's what I recommend okay this iskind of like a hack around it but if youreally want to use this AI stuff whatyou could dois umyou could combine it with a tool so forexample like anywhere you have to
aggregate a ton of information like fromdifferent resources do those queriesherebut then when you want to do like linearstuff like for example sayumI don't know you were working on onedocument and then you started on yourthoughts and you're like okayuh and you want to just keep building onit more and moredo all that linear based thinkingsomewhere else and some other AI toolsso for example craft I think has like a
really good AI thing notion has this tooand crafts is free I believe because Idon't think I'm on a paid plansubscription yeah so like literally it'sfree which is crazyI don't even know how they can afford tolet me do all my queries and it'slightning fast it's the editor herequick update craft is not free that gotme with the 50 queries or whatever forfree so whatever I show you for the restof the time in craft don't do it incraft instead do it in chat GPT okay
just do it in chat GPT you shouldprobably get or have a chat GPTsubscription and just do it there I meanyou could even use it for free but it'sa little bit slower so I just recommendhaving the full onethat's what I wanted to tell you okayback to the videoand so once you got your like keythoughts and then you want to bring themin here and then do stuff so like forexample I could just douh assistant like what are my totalexpenses based on this right so
it goes based on this your total expenseare 31.561. that is absolutely perfectthat's great okay you just put thatthere insert and then I can sayumuh assume I have 500 000 in the bankwhat's myRunway ask at that and it goes based onthis here's how we calculate boom Runwayis 15.84 months which is actually super
helpful for me to know okay great andthen I can go on right and then I couldsay okay nowuh assume I'm making you know I don'tknow let's put a random number 10K permonthand so what 10K a month now what is Irun away sometimes Chad GPT does this soyou just ask it a few different timesand then it can kind of like tell youis making 10K or Twitter is my Runway if
it doesn't tell me this I'll kind ofgive up on it for now okay so let'sforget that but now if I can ask it umyou know give me three waysI can reduce my expensesokayboomuh expenses down to 10K a monthbe specific keep it short hit enter
reduced team expenses find a more costeffective uh headquarters because mycurrent headquarters is you know I'mpaying a decent amount foruh negotiate lower commissions orexplore alternative revenue streams sothat's pretty good I can actually hitinsertand then add that in so once you havelike when you have linear based thinkingI highly recommend using like a toollike this where you can write and think
and have a thinking companion at thesame time because I often find I needlike a thinking companion and thatreally helps I used to have my assistantwho would think with me and that waspretty helpfulbutcharging petite can think for you rightand you can ask it questions back andforth then you could feed it somethingand then here you can write infiniteamount of queries and it's fast it'sfaster than chat GPT in my opinion likeuh you know act like the open AI chaiGPT Chat thing and it's free
and it's very fast so linear thinkingfor AI I would say like go with thisand then to get stuff put together gowith thisum and then I'm really excited for theday where they figure out their monthlysubscription because then you won't haveto pay obscene amounts to get thosecredits and you know sometimes the AIgets it wrong but other than that mostof the times it has honestly blown mymind and I find it phenomenal so I hope
you try this tool out it is fantasticand I hope it has blown your mind asmuch as it did mine go try it and thenlet me know your thoughts I love yourbeautiful faceI'll see ya, F*ck Obsidian. Learn THIS Instead, Rafeh Qazi, 01h0dgy8ky76av1pbq9ddyz1mv.
