Sponsors WordCamp Has been a pioneer for headlessWP Has supported GB and FSE Maintains several great plugins Is 5FTF the best way to contribute? ACF fills a real need that WP hasignored for over a decade. Core or it didn't happen? What if you want to support WPbut don't like what's going on? I'mnot going to support GB/FSE. It seems the method ofcontribution most controlled by thepowers that be. Are there not enough peopleworking on projects that the BDFLcares about? Also the way that most builds theWP brand vs building companybrand Help me the way I say to help meor it doesn't count "Automattic does so much more forWordPress" Doing for WP vs taking care of yourbusiness W/o WP, WP.com is nothing W/o WP, WPE is a bunch of LAMPservers Disables post revisions by default It's managed hosting WP.com charges you to be able tochange a font GoDaddy disables cron (which isworse) Why bring it up? Wasn't MM an investor when WPEwas doing this? Wasn't MM speaking at WPEevents while this was going on? Looks like an accurate but 100%irrelevant shot to justify callingthem out Again, why them and only them? Claims: "Why is WP Engine theonly one that does?" But it's part of every optimizationplugin. Is that true? Twitter says it isn't Owned by Silver Lake Then are all Silver Lake holdingsbad? What about GoDaddy? When did they stop being aparasitic company? Why isn't Newfold bad? (Bluehost) They're a rebrand of EIG! WPE's branding is confusing To his mom Is she in the tech space? Does she know the differencebetween Java and Javascript? I've never known anyone confusedby this wp.com vs wp.org is actuallyconfusing Moving forward There needs to be a seriousdiscussion Who needs to be there? Where would it be held? Who would/could/shouldfacilitate/referee it? Does it matter? What could we do? What does the community want todo? Is there a homogenous spirit forthere to be "a" community? What does it take to be on thenaughty list? Who put Bluehost on wp.org? Why does MM champion Bluehost?
