pluginusing chat GPT but does it through thecanvas which is really nice and when yougo into the settings you've got useragent a token all the normal stuff you'dsee this is a canvas example but for mechat GPT seems to be always too busy touse the plug-in groups plugin groupsplugins and it allows you to bulk actions so enable or disable a group ofplugins all at once allowing you to Nestthem and actually delay the loading of agroup of plugins on Startup of coursesome limitations are that some pluginsdon't work at the moment and when we gointo the settings you can see you cangenerate commands for groups which meanswhen you go into the command palette youcan actually enable or disable groups ofplugins with a command and when you adda group so a test group we've got thegeneral settings and there's the commandfor that group in specific you can Auto add plugins to a specific group and thenyou can change the devices these groupsare on you can also enable the pluginson Startupthe plugins tab give you a search of allyour install plugins this is my testfault so it has like 200 and somethingplugins in but you can search for themso the plugin update tracker is alwaysenabled on this Vault because I want toknow the updates that's going on andthen we go into the groups and then youcan search through all the groups Idon't have any apart from this test oneso it's not going to show and in this view we can then enable a turn on ordisable turn off those plugins theeither IV re plugin uses whatever thisis I'm not going to say I know what itis because they don't it looks like dataanalysis but I don't know if you arefamiliar with the tool it looks like youcan then import the information withwhatever either it does into an obsidianfile format and then you get all of thegraph backlinking and data information inside of obsidian the image captionplugin does what it says on the tin letsyou add a caption to any image and asyou scroll down you can see theformatting you get the normal imageembed but after a pipe symbol you canadd the caption now when you havesomething in that sort of area so afterthe pipe maybe the size you can stilladd inside of speech marks a captionwhich is quite nice but I personallydon't caption any of my images most ofthem are in articles anyway the novel word count plugin is looking to I thinkcombat better workouts a little bit insome areas anyway and it will show theword count or page count or note countor whatever metric next to the file inthe files Explorer then you can havethree different data types so oh wellyou can have three different parts ofdata next to the file you can thenabbreviate what's shown so instead ofwords it would show Wetc etc you can then change thealignment so whether it's on the right of the files in the middle or justunderneath and as you can see here inthe test file there's zero words I typehello now there's one word and it showsme next to of the file in the files coreplugin if I type are you okay that's nowfour words and it's showing in the filesthe week planner plugin allows you toset commands on an inbox page or a todaypage file folder system very similar toThe Volt build I did recently but this is a plug-in rather than built throughother plugins and you can see there'sthe commands and when we go into thesettings you can set the working day soMonday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Fridaybase directory which is essentially afolder and then when we go into obsidiango to the command actually activate oneof these so let's say add a to do I canadd a description of the task blog orchecks box block and it's going tocreate the folder directory and add aninbox file in that folder with the test taskright now this is really cool whatcustom statuses in tasks allow you to dois obviously add custom statuses butthere is so much more to this updatethan what you may think there is loadsof other features that's been addedwhich you can see here you can searchfor the different statuses add differentelements to the query behind the scenefixes and you can see all of that in thechange lock but when we go to the tasksplugin you'll now see task statuses thecore status I ticked or not ticked and you can edit that you see task statussymbol task status name task next statussymbol so what's done afterwards andthen the actual task data so to do etcetc with some added ones and then whenyou go down to custom statuses you canadd basically any letter or symbol intoa task status you can add a new taskstatus add all the status typessupported by the minimal community theme the its community theme and then unknownstatuses when you click on that it justImports like everything like all of thetasks so if you're a minimal user easyEdition its user easy Edition and Ibelieve there are issues for otherthemes so when you go to the appearancetab if you have the theme installedactivate it if not browse for it here'sthe minimal theme install and use theminimal theme and then the task can beused now when we go to the docs the helpdocumentation this is part of the updateall the information you will ever need is inside of here and I think this isone of the plugins that has the bestdocumentation from my experience anywaylooking through plugins but what we'regoing to do is actually create a customstatus and add some different views ofit so I've copied the same as the helpdocumentation and you can see they'reall ticked because obsidian default viewis just ticked off not ticked but it hadletters inside of those square bracketsand when we go from the reading view back to Source View you can see well nowthere's nothing there so it's defaultedback to the originals so what I want todo is change the look instead of itbeing done or not done I want to add aCSS snippet I'm going to use the examplefrom the help docs so you can followalong if you've got the help docs openI've clicked through now I'm going toclick into download this is a snippetand it's a long file CSS gobbledygookthat I don't understand half of but I'm going to use vs code which is free thenopen my obsidian Vault folder and youcan see it's the test fault and it's gotthe dot obsidian folder then find theSnippets folder it will probably beabove the themes folder I already haveone if it's not there go to obsidianappearance and then click on the foldericon next to CSS Snippets and that willcreate the folder or open it wherever itis now when you go back to vs code newfile title it whatever you want I'm going to call it check boxes and andhave dot CSS sorry it's a DOT CSS filecopy all the information from thatdownloaded file and then paste it inhere you can download it and go throughfiles this is my personal preferencethen save it to make sure that it'sactually saved then go to the CSSSnippets refresh if it's not there andturn it onof course if you understand CSS you cancreate your own you can customize otherSnippets or whatever's going on but when we now go into a reading view or livepreview they are rendering images thatare different from just done and notdone but when we tick them they still goto complete that that default ticked boxbut when you hover over it's stillacting like a tick box so you still getthere oh you can click on this or youcan type on this but it's always goingto the X you can see the x is in betweenthe brackets so I'm going to undo all ofthat and instead go to the commandpalette and change the task so edit task and you can see down the bottom we nowhave all of those statuses in progresscanceled unknown Etc and when we go intothe task settings we can actually addany of these that we've created so we'vegot some letters in there and I'm goingto bring in the minimal theme set usingthe minimal theme to make sure it's allconsistent and now when we go in and weedit a task the statuses are all thestatuses from the minimal theme so I'mgoing to call this information and now it's got a light bulb because that'swhat's in the CSS theme of minimal if wego in and edit and change this one to inprogress you've got the in progress iconand you can see it's changed it but westill have the same issue that when youtick it it's either done or not done soit doesn't cycle through the icons thatyou may want yet but you can actuallyadd that so if we add a new task and wesay task data symbol let's say this is important so exclamation mark the taskstatus is important now the next statussymbol is D this is going to be a to dotar so this is an important to do taskthe next task is I'm going to add a taskand edit it is going to be D becauseit's gone exclamation D this is doing aput important so I know what cycle thisis and then it's going to go to x I'mgoing to change the status type to in progress so now it's going from to do toin progress add another status then editthat status and this is going to be thestatus symbol X because that's wherewe've just directed the last one tostatus name is done important so Iremember what cycle it is and then thisis going back to the exclamation markthis is a type of a done because we needto close that out so now we have to doas an exclamation mark in progress as Dand then done as X now when I come out you can see I've got the same page uptwice but the letter inside the bracketsis changing so when I click it it goesto X then when I click it again it goesto exclamation mark click it again D sothe icon is changing the style isstaying default so when we go to theappearance settings and add acsswhatever that is you can see the iconhas now changed so the icon is mirroringthe cycled up created with the Dexclamation mark and X which of courseis fully customizable and a very quick example of how the query has changed youcan now use status.type and look for sayin progress tasks and it
