I don't know if you've [01:00] seen it where Yosemite Sam is on the [01:02] ship and he's fighting Bugs Bunny and [01:04] Bugs Bunny is just obliterating the ship [01:06] and he's standing on what, you know, [01:09] this as the ship's being blown away, [01:11] there's just this little tiny piece that [01:13] he can even stand on and it goes down [01:15] and he goes down with the ship. [01:17] There's some [clears throat] ministers [01:18] in this that are doing this. [01:20] There's a large number though that I'm [01:22] noticing are jumping ship just because [01:25] they see the opportunity to jump, not [01:27] because they would have ever changed [01:29] their mind or their ways, but they [01:31] realize that this this is a problem. They have no idea where it [01:52] comes from because it's not in the [01:53] Bible. [01:55] And they're preaching it because that's [01:57] what they've been told, not because [02:00] they've looked into the Bible to find [02:02] it. And [snorts] [02:04] it's weird because if you hear two [02:05] people preach the same thing, both of [02:08] which know that it's not in the Bible, [02:10] don't understand why they're preaching [02:12] it, they go in different directions [02:14] because they're [02:15] they're completely, you know, standing [02:17] on the sinking ship as it's going down. [02:20] And [02:21] >> [clears throat] [02:21] >> the thing that you found for today's [02:23] episode, it's it kind of paints the [02:26] picture of that, but it's even deeper [02:28] because you take an extra biblical [02:31] thing, doctrine, whatever it is, and [02:34] take another extra biblical doctrine, [02:36] things that did not even exist at the [02:39] time the Bible was written, so there was [02:41] no way it could be [02:42] biblical doctrine. [02:44] And then you take another doctrine and [02:47] build on top of that. You've got this [02:49] weird thing that these ministers do not [02:52] understand. And today's clip, [02:55] the the clip itself and the doctrine [02:57] itself isn't that interesting, but the [03:00] history behind it is absolutely [03:02] fascinating. [03:03] >> Right. And like you said, they'll try to [03:07] uh take what the prophet messenger said, [03:10] and then they'll try to shoehorn it into [03:12] the Bible somehow, and they'll say, [03:13] "Well, because it's not in the Bible, [03:15] these things are new. They weren't there [03:17] when the Bible was was was written and [03:19] put into words. And so, we need a [03:21] prophet for this day to bring us the [03:24] revelation of why these current day [03:26] things are wrong, because without the [03:27] prophet messenger, we wouldn't know that [03:29] X, Y, and Z is wrong. So, you know, [03:31] that's that's why it's required." And [03:33] so, that's how they try to weave in the [03:35] extra biblical stuff. And and um it [03:38] Yeah, it just [03:40] It really does get into some really [03:42] comical territory sometimes when you can [03:45] kind of step back and look at what's [03:47] being said beyond the uh pressures of [03:50] believing that this is right and you're [03:51] trying to line up to it. Because when [03:52] it's there, [03:54] that is actually very harmful in the [03:56] moment because you're you're trying to [03:58] force your mind to wrap around this this [04:01] thing that can't possibly be true, but [04:03] you're being told it's true and you [04:04] believe that it's from a true source. So [04:06] then you're trying to force yourself to [04:08] to conform to it. But when you take a [04:10] step back and you look at it, it yeah, [04:12] it does get kind of comical when you [04:14] look at it from that perspective. [04:16] >> Exactly. And they say I've heard it so [04:18] many times, we need a new prophet. [04:21] >> [laughter] [04:22] >> Many of these [04:23] people, you know, they came from this [04:25] Latter Rain movement, which had many [04:28] many prophets plural. [04:30] And they built entire ministries and [04:32] eventually cult followings that grew off [04:34] of this thing where there's this guy [04:37] claiming to be a prophet. [04:38] And they are saying we want the rules. [04:42] Tell us what we can do. Tell us what we [04:43] can't do. [04:45] It reminds you of the children of [04:46] Israel. And [04:47] when Moses came down the mountain with [04:49] the Ten Commandments, which were [04:51] basically a moral code that could apply [04:54] to any given situation. [04:57] Be nice to people. Be nice to your wife. [04:59] Don't cheat on her. Don't steal from [05:01] people. The basics, right? [05:03] >> Right. [05:04] >> said, "No, no. Go Go tell us the rules. [05:06] We want rules." And so that's how the [05:08] Mosaic law was established and [05:11] the Apostle Paul called it as dung [05:14] because it was worthless to live your [05:16] life that way. [05:18] And so these these men are doing the [05:20] same thing today.
