> ## ๐ Main Content
> Replit's 10th anniversary buildathon culminated in a winner announcement showcasing how AI-powered development tools are enabling new builders to create meaningful applications. The 24-hour event generated massive participation with over 500,000 projects edited and 4x normal platform load.
> The selection process evolved beyond pure technical merit to include storytelling ability, community engagement, and real-world impact. Winners consistently demonstrated three key traits: building solutions for personal pain points, packaging their work with compelling narratives, and actively participating in the community.
> Technical accessibility has democratized software creation, allowing domain experts like teachers and small business owners to build custom solutions previously requiring large development teams. This represents a fundamental shift where proximity to problems enables more targeted, effective solutions.

Heat.
[02:54] What's up? What's up, crew? How are we?
[02:57] >> It's always like a backstage dance party
[02:59] when this is the first president. Always
[03:02] a good time.
[03:03] >> Oh man.
[03:04] >> Um doing well.
[03:05] >> Helps with the pre-show jitters, right?
[03:07] Like we talked about this like those
[03:08] never go away. So nice to just kind of
[03:11] dance those off a little bit.
[03:13] >> Yeah. No, we're excited. Uh it's it's
[03:15] been a heck of a week. Uh I think we've
[03:17] you know we've done we've been we've
[03:18] seen a lot. We've done a lot. It's been
[03:20] amazing to kind of just finally get back
[03:22] together, get back to our normal, you
[03:23] know, Friday showcase. Our deep dive
[03:25] earlier on Tuesday was also great. And
[03:27] we're just excited. I mean, we have a
[03:29] lot of surprises coming up and and
[03:30] obviously we're all here for one very
[03:32] big reason and we're excited to kind of
[03:34] share more about um you know, some of
[03:36] the results of of what's happening with
[03:38] uh you know, the the buildathon. Um and
[03:40] also just ahead of time all the time
[03:43] just thank you all so much for the folks
[03:44] that are you know here joining us in the
[03:46] chat of course you know KG was your
[03:48] supporting uh Kazier uh cloud boy Tommy
[03:52] Tommy we we've been talking about you
[03:54] know office uh just all the cool things
[03:58] you've been up to in the chatio
[04:00] >> let's see those W's in the chat for
[04:02] Tommy where's the Tommy crew
[04:03] >> yeah W's in the chat exactly for Tommy
[04:07] uh so yeah it's been absolutely amazing
[04:09] and and yeah I'm glad to be back. I'm
[04:10] stoked.
[04:11] >> I saw a comment on X that we should do
[04:14] this every 10 years. I'm like, we should
[04:15] do it every Replet birthday.
[04:18] >> Listen y'all, we like to sleep. Y'all
[04:20] need to chill out with that.
[04:22] >> I know, right?
[04:22] >> The Well, and they keep getting bigger.
[04:24] And so, I think we're part of what we'll
[04:26] talk about today is like the process and
[04:28] a little bit of, you know, how how the
[04:29] winner selection happened. And yeah,
[04:31] like it's it's always exciting to share
[04:33] this and we're learning. You know, the
[04:34] the retro we did was super cool to kind
[04:36] of dive in and the feedback from that's
[04:38] been super great. And just generally
[04:39] watching you all build in this community
[04:41] grow has been unreal. Uh how helpful you
[04:43] all are to each other and just like the
[04:47] spirit. I saw a bunch of posts about
[04:49] like hey we'd all like the to win but
[04:50] like the relationships that we've made
[04:52] uh the people we've met and so I really
[04:55] think um we're seeing like this base
[04:57] layer of this really cool new thing
[04:59] sprouting up here and I can just feel
[05:01] like these connections and that energy
[05:02] kind of percolating throughout all of
[05:03] it. So again as a community professional
[05:05] it's just super cool to watch. So,
[05:07] absolutely. And I think that's one of
[05:08] the number one things. Look, the build
[05:10] fun is awesome. 24-hour build is great,
[05:11] but really what we're, you know,
[05:12] obviously we're biased here on the
[05:14] community team, but what we really want
[05:15] to see is people kind of getting
[05:16] together, collaborating, and we saw so
[05:18] much of that. So many folks, you know,
[05:20] DM me, let me know like the only reason
[05:21] they joined a buildathon was to be able
[05:22] to join a Discord, right? And be able to
[05:24] connect with each other, build with each
[05:25] other, collaborate. And a huge thank you
[05:27] to everyone that made that such a
[05:29] special and welcoming place. Like we
[05:30] didn't have any big issues or or or
[05:32] anything that kind of uh, you know,
[05:34] caught our attention in any bad way. If
[05:36] anything, we saw just incredible,
[05:37] incredible relationships being built. A
[05:39] huge shout out to um Eeris and and and
[05:41] KG who really kind of held down the fort
[05:43] on the Discord side. Um we were in there
[05:45] trying to, you know, uh support as much
[05:47] as we could, answer your questions, you
[05:48] know, up elevate some of those tickets
[05:50] you brought in there, but really we're
[05:51] trying to make it more of a longer term
[05:53] home. So again, thank you all for for
[05:55] making it so special and such a cool
[05:57] place for us to build together as a
[05:59] community. Um a lot more to come soon.
[06:01] >> Also fun to see some new people stepping
[06:03] up, too. I think I saw a couple of posts
[06:04] from Kaiser like posting his own website
[06:08] reviews on there. Some other folks
[06:09] jumping in there. So,
[06:10] >> bro, let me tell you what happened with
[06:12] this. We were doing this Discord. Uh, by
[06:14] the way, we got to boost. We got to we
[06:16] got to max out that uh Discord server
[06:18] because we're like hitting, you know,
[06:19] limits. But anyway, um after our event,
[06:23] like you guys just jumped in like some
[06:25] of some people were having a little bit
[06:26] of issue. I don't know if it was
[06:27] connection issues with Discord or kind
[06:28] of what was going on. Um, but like I
[06:31] popped in after our office hours and
[06:33] there's like 20 25 people in there just
[06:35] kind of doing their own thing. You guys
[06:37] are doing your own reviews. Um, again,
[06:40] so just a cool testament of like what's
[06:41] happening that we're not orchestrating,
[06:43] right? Like the it's kind of cool when a
[06:45] company starts something like this, but
[06:46] when you all start building things, when
[06:48] you all start self-organizing, like
[06:49] that's the the cool stuff that like
[06:51] again sprouts its own little ecosystem
[06:53] and it own little universe. And so we've
[06:55] seen a couple things with like Beta
[06:56] Bloom and um oh, what is it? the solo
[06:59] boardroom. Um I'm blanking on your name
[07:01] right now, but you've uh been so helpful
[07:03] in helping just kind of identify like
[07:04] different projects and you know like
[07:06] some of you have really stepped up uh so
[07:08] much. Tasha and uh some of the old um
[07:10] the agent for Buildathon folks have
[07:12] really kind of helped this new batch of
[07:14] people get in and up to speed and so um
[07:17] yeah just again great to see it. It's
[07:19] great to see it all.
[07:20] >> Love all of you. Thank you so much. Lots
[07:22] to cover today. Of course, we're going
[07:25] to re reveal
[07:27] Replet 10 Buildathon winners. But first,
[07:31] we got to catch you up on some of the
[07:32] great things that have been happening
[07:34] here in Replet. And of course, we've got
[07:38] to kick off with
[07:42] free agent day and what happened over
[07:45] the weekend. Francisco, you want to tell
[07:47] us about this?
[07:48] >> Yeah, absolutely. I mean, over the
[07:49] weekend, as we all know, we hosted a
[07:51] 24-hour buildathon. uh you know a
[07:53] Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to Sunday at
[07:54] 5:00 a.m. um and just were anyone was
[07:56] able to build, you know, all those ideas
[07:58] and products they've always wanted to
[07:59] create and you definitely went out there
[08:02] and built. Um it was absolutely
[08:04] incredible to see so many
[08:06] >> um and just unbelievable, right? The
[08:08] community really stepped up and you know
[08:09] we had 176 countries join over 500,000
[08:13] projects that were edited or updated. Uh
[08:15] over $10,000 in credits were used at one
[08:18] point by a single user which was very
[08:20] interesting to see.
[08:21] >> Reveal yourself. I want to know who was
[08:22] that and how did you do it? change your
[08:24] skills.
[08:25] >> Exactly.
[08:26] >> Well, you know, we saw those tweets
[08:27] where people were really kind of like,
[08:28] okay, now I have unlimited. Let's really
[08:30] use like, you know, the product to its
[08:31] limits like here are my 10 agents. Here
[08:33] are my 15 agents working in parallel.
[08:35] And it was just absolutely incredible,
[08:36] you know, really inspiring to see. And I
[08:39] mean, along with all of that, you know,
[08:40] we saw 4x the load. I remember very
[08:43] early on we hit, you know, some early
[08:44] peaks. And a huge shout out to the
[08:46] engineering team and everyone here who
[08:47] stayed around, you know, or some folks I
[08:49] remember getting in, I run 4 in the
[08:51] morning and I was like, hey, good
[08:52] morning. like, "No, no, good night."
[08:54] They were heading out, you know, and we
[08:56] had folks coming in the entire 24 hours.
[08:58] But truly, it was just absolutely
[09:00] spectacular, you know, to to be a part
[09:02] of it, to see people come together,
[09:04] collaborate, support one another, and
[09:06] just again um understand what is
[09:08] possible, you know, with the tool and
[09:10] just anything anyone with a great idea
[09:11] can now create um and really kind of
[09:13] just, you know, lowering that that um
[09:16] bar to be able to kind of, you know, um
[09:19] build your own projects and bringing
[09:20] them to life. So, um, again, thank you
[09:22] all to everyone that came out. We
[09:24] doubled discord size, um, you know, of
[09:26] the server and we're going to be
[09:28] investing
[09:29] a lot more into programming there and
[09:31] just so much more to come. But yeah,
[09:33] absolutely amazing.
[09:34] >> And on the buildathon, um, I think a lot
[09:37] of people were surprised in terms of
[09:39] what they can get done in 24 hours. I
[09:42] kept seeing that all over the place that
[09:44] they were just like shocked. One, you
[09:46] have a tool like Replet that could just
[09:48] let you go, but two, it's also kind of a
[09:50] mindset thing. There's this idea that
[09:52] the the time you give yourself for a
[09:54] task matters. If you give yourself a
[09:57] week to do something um versus 24 hours,
[10:00] you can do that thing in 24 hours versus
[10:03] a week. So the, you know, based on that
[10:05] timeline that you have for yourself,
[10:06] it's it doesn't matter. The work's still
[10:07] going to get done. And so I think a lot
[10:09] of people saw that and I just love
[10:11] seeing those posts that I that that came
[10:13] across my profile.
[10:14] >> Yeah, absolutely. No, and it was just
[10:16] great, right? And I mean you can study
[10:18] and study like anything else in life and
[10:19] read as many books and articles online,
[10:21] YouTube videos, but until you start
[10:23] playing with it, that's when the real
[10:24] learning begins. And I think a lot of
[10:26] the community took advantage of that. So
[10:27] huge thanks. And also huge thanks to a
[10:29] couple different streamers, you know,
[10:30] Cloud Boy, Tommy, um, Kazir, who
[10:33] basically just encouraged people to
[10:34] just, you know, get out there and get
[10:35] started. So again, huge shout out to the
[10:37] community.
[10:38] >> Awesome. Very neat. Okay, so more to
[10:40] come on that. Of course, we're going to
[10:41] announce the Bilaththon winners in just
[10:44] a bit. But some other news from Replet.
[10:47] Good news here. Now, all of your app
[10:50] deployments are private by default. And
[10:54] the really big news here is that now
[10:56] we're offering private deployments on
[10:59] free accounts, our starter plan. So,
[11:01] previously, if you had one of these
[11:04] plans, the free account, the only way
[11:06] you could publish an app was by making
[11:08] it public. Now you can make it private.
[11:11] And so I think this is going to help a
[11:13] lot of people build new cool interesting
[11:15] things without the fear of like having
[11:17] it be out there and just play around
[11:19] with your own data and your in your
[11:20] applications. And then you know before
[11:22] you're ready you can have it be
[11:23] privately deployed and then when you're
[11:25] ready to share with the world then you
[11:27] can of course share publicly. But I
[11:28] thought that was a really nice um
[11:30] feature that we rolled out this week.
[11:34] Update number two here is now you can um
[11:39] build out better integrations to tools
[11:41] like GitHub, Slack, and Stripe in
[11:44] private apps as well. So, previously if
[11:46] you wanted to say connect your
[11:48] application to your Slack, you'd had to
[11:51] you'd had to deploy that application
[11:53] publicly. Some people didn't want to do
[11:55] that. Of course, if you're also in a
[11:56] business, you might want to do not do
[11:58] that as well. So now we've made it
[12:00] easier for you to have those
[12:02] integrations work without having to make
[12:06] that application public as well. So
[12:08] again more on just keeping you secure,
[12:10] keeping you safe and making it easier
[12:12] easier for you to run your applications
[12:14] how you want. And again, especially for
[12:16] our business users, this is going to be
[12:17] a big hit for them. So check that out.
[12:21] Uh security, again, security is a theme
[12:23] here at Reply. keep pounding on this.
[12:25] And again, you know, this is thanks to
[12:27] all of the efforts that we're doing on
[12:28] the enterprise side. Last week, we had
[12:30] Cody and Nick on the show from the
[12:32] enterprise team tell us about how Replet
[12:34] is taking off for businesses and larger
[12:36] organizations. And so, as they ask us to
[12:39] build out things, I think we're just
[12:40] rolling that out to everyone. If it's
[12:42] good enough for these big companies,
[12:43] it's good enough for everyone. So, a big
[12:45] update to our security center. Now, it's
[12:47] 2.0, making it easier for you to manage
[12:50] applications in your organization. And
[12:53] this has actually been a big theme. I've
[12:54] been having these conversations with
[12:55] folks, IT folks at companies because
[12:57] right now like vibe coding makes it easy
[12:59] for operators to go and build out their
[13:01] own applications, but that can be
[13:02] potentially a nightmare if you're in the
[13:04] IT side managing all those applications
[13:07] and this work that's coming from new
[13:09] builders. So we're putting in a lot of
[13:10] work to make it easier for those IT
[13:13] professionals to sleep at night and also
[13:15] just leadership at organizations feeling
[13:16] comfortable that they can roll out a
[13:18] tool like Replet to their non-technical
[13:20] people the new builders new vibe coders
[13:23] and things are not going to leak apps
[13:25] are not going to get accidentally
[13:27] published publicly and just keep the
[13:28] organization overall safe while allowing
[13:31] people to build their own internal apps
[13:32] and their applications. So really nice
[13:34] to see that update. Um, also this week
[13:39] we announced a buildathon with Lenny's
[13:41] newsletter. If you're unfamiliar with
[13:43] this newsletter, very popular in the
[13:45] tech space. Lenny, I think was at
[13:47] Airbnb. Um, just has a great great
[13:50] content. You should follow him. But he's
[13:53] hosting a billathon with Replet. And the
[13:55] idea is that they're he's giving you
[13:57] access to all of his transcripts and
[14:00] from his shows and his and his
[14:02] newsletter writeups. And then you're
[14:03] going to have to build something
[14:04] interesting using Replet of course on
[14:06] top of that data. But some really cool
[14:08] prizes there. It's going to be running
[14:09] for a couple of weeks. So definitely
[14:11] encourage you to go and check that out.
[14:13] And it would be really awesome if we had
[14:15] somebody from the Discord from the
[14:16] community take down this prize um just
[14:19] to kind of like showcase it internally
[14:21] as well. So go check that out. That's
[14:23] >> right. You guys got to go take over the
[14:24] the Lenny's Buildathon, y'all. We got to
[14:26] go represent. Show them how Show them
[14:28] how to do.
[14:29] >> I know you guys got the inside track. Go
[14:31] take those down. You should be taking
[14:32] down all of these buildathons
[14:34] everywhere, guys. Like we had a
[14:36] buildathon with 11 Labs, too. Like, look
[14:38] out for those. Those are great. And
[14:39] maybe it's something that you're already
[14:40] building. Maybe just you just package
[14:42] that up, do a nice little video, and you
[14:44] submit it and you win some extra credits
[14:46] and some extra prizes and get some
[14:48] additional recognition. Also, race to
[14:51] revenue. I think this has been a big
[14:52] theme for us is this idea is that okay
[14:54] like first step is of course getting
[14:56] your app but really what we're after is
[14:59] g getting you to that first dollar to
[15:01] those first users and so you're going to
[15:03] see a lot more content from us here on
[15:05] the replica side around that. Let's get
[15:07] you to your first sale. Let's get you to
[15:10] your first transaction. And so, Race to
[15:12] Revenue is a very well put together
[15:14] series that we launched a couple weeks
[15:16] ago where we followed builders as they
[15:19] build out their business with Replet. I
[15:21] think we have 10 episodes for this
[15:23] season. We have episode number two that
[15:24] just dropped. I'll drop a link to that
[15:26] in the chat. Go check it out. Very well
[15:29] produced. And then also, we're going to
[15:31] be doing something similar to that. I
[15:33] think we have something scheduled for
[15:34] June where we're going to invite people
[15:36] on the show and live. We're going to be
[15:38] working with them to build out their
[15:39] businesses on Replet. Again, with the
[15:41] idea is we're trying to get to that
[15:42] first sale, that first dollar, and just
[15:45] kind of help you get those initial
[15:46] users. So, um, to get a preview of that,
[15:49] go check out Race to Revenue, subscribe
[15:51] to our YouTube channel, and be on the
[15:52] lookout for more episodes on that
[15:54] series. Really well done.
[15:56] >> Dropping too much alpha here, y'all.
[16:00] I
[16:00] >> I mean, we love to celebrate that. You
[16:02] see you see us on online just like as
[16:04] soon as somebody makes their first sale,
[16:06] we're like, "Yeah, awesome. Amazing.
[16:07] First user, that's where we want to get
[16:09] to. That's the ultimate goal for a lot
[16:11] of folks. Vipcon NYC
[16:14] happening in June. This is going to be
[16:19] such a great time. We're putting in a
[16:22] lot of effort into this. And if you look
[16:23] at some of the visuals, we played a
[16:26] promo for this at the top of the show.
[16:28] This is going to be really, really fun.
[16:30] So, if you're on the stream, if you're
[16:32] in the community, you got to try really,
[16:34] really hard to be here. So excited about
[16:36] this. What are you thinking about this,
[16:37] Francisco Ram? you pumped about this?
[16:40] >> Oh, it's going to be great. We're
[16:41] excited. Uh scheduled to come out very
[16:43] very soon. Um and yeah, I mean, it's
[16:44] going to be a wonderful time to be able
[16:46] to really just kind of, you know, go
[16:48] check out the intersection of creativity
[16:50] and and AI. I think it's a not the
[16:52] typical type of conference that you
[16:53] expect. Um we have Spike Jones, uh you
[16:56] know, as as a as a speaker and there's
[16:57] just so much more there. So, um very
[16:59] excited for for for more updates to come
[17:01] there.
[17:02] >> Yeah. And I can't overemphasize the
[17:04] value if you can find your way to these
[17:07] types of events. Uh if you think the
[17:09] energy online at a buildathon like this
[17:11] or people building in Discord is like
[17:14] electric or the connections you make are
[17:16] useful, just wait till these kind of
[17:19] events happen and you start getting to
[17:21] these meetups and these and these little
[17:22] conferences that are like there's
[17:24] nothing like it. Uh the value you will
[17:26] get from you know like forget about the
[17:28] talks like that's great. like the talks
[17:30] are going to be great, the production
[17:31] value, the food, everything. The
[17:32] relationships you're going to make and
[17:34] the connections you will make at these
[17:35] types of events uh will set and
[17:37] establish your career. Uh they can
[17:39] literally the boost you can get from
[17:40] these types of things is unreal. Uh I'm
[17:42] not just trying to pitch this event.
[17:43] This could literally be meetups you're
[17:44] working on or whatever. You know, start
[17:46] trying to take some of this community
[17:47] building offline, but an event like
[17:48] Vivecon is a uh yeah, an amazing
[17:51] opportunity to start connecting with
[17:53] again other folks in this community.
[17:55] >> And you're gonna get to meet me, Rhymar,
[17:57] Francisco, and the rest of the team. So
[17:59] >> that's right. Yeah,
[18:00] >> I that's got to be worth a ticket a
[18:01] little bit. Just saying.
[18:04] >> Totally. Um, also coming up next week,
[18:09] we've got a huge lineup of shows for all
[18:12] of you. So we're going to be at Saster.
[18:15] This is a big conferences for B2B
[18:18] companies that are using AI. It's
[18:20] happening in San Francisco. So me,
[18:23] Francisco, and Rhymar are going to be
[18:25] there live and we're going to be live
[18:27] streaming from that conference. I think
[18:30] we have maybe like nine hours, 12 hours
[18:33] of live streams lined up for that on
[18:35] Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Um the
[18:39] um Luma events are on our calendar for
[18:41] this. So go on to our Luma calendar and
[18:43] sign up for these events. I think it's
[18:45] going to be really, really fun.
[18:48] >> Going to be awesome. Yeah, I'm excited.
[18:50] And yeah, a lot of the office will be
[18:52] there is what I'm gonna say. It is
[18:53] literally in our backyard. We're in
[18:54] Foster City. This is in Sanonteo. It's
[18:55] like a 10-minute drive away. So, anyone
[18:58] I mean, Cody, Nick, we're all going to
[19:00] be there. It's going to be a wonderful
[19:01] time. So, if you're going to in the
[19:02] area, please swing by. Um, always love
[19:04] to to meet with folks.
[19:05] >> And this is like a like a big event. How
[19:08] many people are going to be there? Like,
[19:09] what did I see like 10,000 60,000? What
[19:12] was the number? Like, I don't even like
[19:14] >> I was looking at the website the other.
[19:15] I was like, no way there's gonna be.
[19:16] It's like a whole campus. There's like
[19:17] like it's not just like a little
[19:18] conference. It's like a whole thing. I'm
[19:20] like, "Oh, man. Y'all do it different
[19:21] out there, huh?"
[19:22] >> Totally. And some big some big names,
[19:24] too. I think like like like Yeah, people
[19:27] from all the major players are going to
[19:28] be there. Um, so
[19:30] >> yeah.
[19:31] >> No, it's going to be really fun. And
[19:32] then for us, we're trying, you know, we
[19:34] have this new concept of live live
[19:35] streaming from conferences that we're
[19:37] trying out. So, if anything, tune in to
[19:40] see how we do with that and see us sweat
[19:43] a little bit.
[19:44] >> It'll be a great time.
[19:45] >> It'll be good. Okay, cool. Uh, I think
[19:48] those are all the updates that I had.
[19:50] Yeah. So, let's go back here and let's
[19:54] talk winners.
[19:56] Chat, are you excited to to to see who
[19:59] won who took down these prizes for
[20:02] Replet 10?
[20:03] >> And just to clarify, there's a lot of
[20:05] like, oh, did the winners already know?
[20:06] No, we're all going to find out together
[20:08] here on stream. Uh, we're all it's all a
[20:10] big surprise. And, um, a couple of thing
[20:13] uh, you know, questions on how we're
[20:14] going to do it. Uh we were thinking
[20:16] about going, you know, three, two, one,
[20:18] and then going over to the honorable
[20:19] mentions and then going through some of
[20:21] these uh different projects and it was
[20:23] not easy. We will very clearly tell you
[20:25] it was not easy. It never is. I feel
[20:26] like every time it gets a little harder.
[20:28] What do you think, Rymore?
[20:29] >> Oh man, I mean it's one of those things
[20:32] that when you see the submissions coming
[20:33] through and you're just like, how are we
[20:35] going to do this? You know, um and so
[20:38] just like we learned with the the
[20:40] technical rundown of the of the site,
[20:42] we're learning how to triage these
[20:44] entries. uh trying to figure out how to
[20:45] tap into the crowd intelligence. So we
[20:47] talked uh this time about how you all
[20:50] were going to have like a bigger role in
[20:53] uh helping us decide. Um and so maybe we
[20:56] can talk a little bit about that as we
[20:57] go as well, how the selection process
[20:59] happened, a little bit of like the tools
[21:01] we built to help um you know determine
[21:05] who and how we were going to select
[21:06] these winners. Um, and we don't want to
[21:08] reveal too much cuz you guys are game.
[21:10] Like you guys are like literally every
[21:12] every little nook and cranny we build,
[21:14] you guys like try to find a thing to
[21:16] like slide in there, you know? And so
[21:17] like it's funny. Every time we build a
[21:19] little feature, we got to build like a
[21:20] little protect the feature from being
[21:22] exploited also. And so this it's just a
[21:25] interesting cat and mouse little game
[21:26] here happening. But uh it's been a lot
[21:28] of fun to see and you guys put a lot of
[21:29] work into this and we're excited to yeah
[21:31] run down the winners here. Rhymire built
[21:33] out his his own replicash fraud
[21:35] detection system, too.
[21:37] >> Literally, the team always laughs when
[21:38] they find out we need
[21:39] >> there's like a black market for replic.
[21:43] >> Not only that, but like even just the
[21:45] tags like I had to build a system to
[21:47] manage the tags because you know you
[21:49] guys are like playing games with tags
[21:50] and stuff and so it's like it's just I
[21:52] don't know it's uh it's fun. It's
[21:54] interesting. um you start thinking about
[21:56] like all the things that must be going
[21:58] on on the internet scale like how you
[21:59] know how many people are trying to do
[22:00] things and going back to security and
[22:02] how important it is for some of this
[22:03] stuff to be robust and like all the
[22:05] things you don't even know that you need
[22:06] to think about as you do things like
[22:08] this right like things that pop up so
[22:10] it's just I don't know it's it's been a
[22:11] lot of fun it's like this cat-and- mouse
[22:12] game um yeah it's you know I don't
[22:15] whatever game on I guess
[22:17] >> yeah it's awesome and again thank you
[22:20] all for participating like I the true
[22:22] you know you know as the saying goes
[22:24] like maybe the winners were like, you
[22:25] know, the friends we made along the way.
[22:26] I think that really is what this is
[22:28] about. Um, and thank you all so much for
[22:30] participating, being a part of it. Um,
[22:32] it's truly what made it special. Um, but
[22:34] yeah, we're we're excited to to yeah,
[22:36] dig in here a little bit.
[22:38] >> And on that note, the winners are
[22:44] >> Just kidding. We're going to go through
[22:45] them one by one. Okay. So, so here's how
[22:48] it's going to work. We're g to start
[22:50] with third place winner and then we're
[22:52] going to work work our way up to the
[22:53] grand prize and then we're going to talk
[22:54] about the honorable mentions. So with
[22:58] that,
[22:58] >> God bless. Hang on, I got to log in.
[23:00] >> Oh, okay. The anticipation is building.
[23:04] >> Got booted.
[23:05] >> Okay,
[23:06] >> we're going to go with third place. So
[23:08] in the chat, who do you think won third
[23:10] place? Chat, let us know who who you bid
[23:13] on. We need to put put together like a
[23:14] little poly market on this stuff, too.
[23:17] >> Rhyard. Yeah. for for next for the next
[23:19] build of thought.
[23:20] >> Well, so speaking of I mean that's
[23:22] exactly what we're kind of talking about
[23:24] is figuring out like um
[23:28] >> like yeah, how do you how do you make
[23:29] this a little bit more robust, right? Um
[23:31] and use the crowd intelligence, you
[23:33] know, we'll talk a little bit about
[23:34] that, but okay. So, um I think if you
[23:37] refresh
[23:40] >> should be on the third place. Yeah. Yep.
[23:43] >> You want to talk a little bit about like
[23:44] first like third place like why why this
[23:46] stood out then we'll do the reveal. Oh
[23:48] yeah. Um
[23:50] maybe you refresh the page and we'll
[23:51] announce it and we'll we'll we'll talk
[23:52] about what what uh what happened. Yeah.
[23:55] So this app is like super fun, just
[23:58] playful. Uh this person embodied the
[24:00] spirit of the competition. We just
[24:02] talked about this a little bit. Uh
[24:04] Kaiser uh this meeting bingo is just
[24:08] like a fun playful concept and I could
[24:10] imagine this going viral. this uh the
[24:13] idea of like playing bingo in the
[24:14] background while you're on like company
[24:16] calls. Uh look at this like hard stop.
[24:19] Sorry, I was on mute. Uh is this like
[24:21] just if this thing's come up in a call,
[24:24] it's like you mark this. So it's the
[24:25] idea is that you share this bingo card
[24:27] with like maybe your co-workers behind
[24:29] the scenes and I I think you can even
[24:30] like make a bet on here. So you gamble
[24:33] with your friends about like things that
[24:34] are happening. So I can just imagine
[24:35] being on a call trying not to laugh my
[24:37] ass off cuz somebody could bingo on this
[24:39] thing. And I don't know, it just again
[24:42] fun concept, spirit of the competition,
[24:46] worked his ass off. Uh yeah, congrats um
[24:49] Kaiser.
[24:50] >> This is so fun. And also this will this
[24:52] will keep you locked into the meeting
[24:53] because sometimes like there's some lows
[24:55] in the meeting. You kind of want to like
[24:56] check your social media or whatever, but
[24:57] no, you're going to be glued to that
[24:59] meeting because you're going to want to
[25:00] fill out your bingo card.
[25:02] >> Yes. Um and it's it's just fun. I
[25:04] literally I could just imagine like the
[25:06] the homies at the company in the
[25:08] background like waiting for Sally always
[25:12] says such and such or yeah I don't know
[25:14] it's uh fun playful um
[25:17] >> there's a live feed here on the right
[25:18] hand side
[25:20] what
[25:22] >> yeah and it's a very easy to jump in and
[25:24] out of like you know you share a code
[25:26] and basically anyone can play um I
[25:28] thought it was just slick I remember I
[25:30] had a a really good friend shout out to
[25:31] Derek Anderson who one of his first apps
[25:33] he ever created was uh uh uh wasted
[25:36] meeting minutes. He did not like
[25:37] meetings. So like anytime they basically
[25:39] had a meeting that everyone thought was
[25:41] not worth the time, they would just, you
[25:43] know, pitch in and vote on it and then
[25:45] they would just, you know, tally up how
[25:46] much was at the end of the month. It's
[25:47] just a silly game. It's just fun to play
[25:49] with. And that's one of the things that
[25:51] like I want folks to like also
[25:52] understand is we're really diving in
[25:54] there and trying to play with these as
[25:55] much as we can. Like we will, you know,
[25:57] pull up the app. We will play with it.
[25:59] We will try to like, you know, explore
[26:01] it. you'll see like myself and our
[26:02] different, you know, team members going
[26:04] in on the expo or creating accounts and
[26:06] logging in. So, um, and this was just
[26:08] fun. It was just fun. We kind of started
[26:09] playing with it and it was a great time.
[26:11] >> That's so funny. You can put in your own
[26:13] taglines here.
[26:15] >> Uhhuh.
[26:15] >> So, I said, um, let's take this offline,
[26:17] I guess. What are some common things
[26:19] that people say reply? Like, take this
[26:20] offline. Is that documented? Can it be
[26:23] faster? Why does it take so long?
[26:25] >> No. It's all about
[26:28] >> all of us.
[26:31] Oh boy.
[26:32] >> Uh
[26:33] >> yeah,
[26:33] >> cool. This is really
[26:35] >> cool. And then again,
[26:36] >> the an ancillary stuff doesn't hurt,
[26:39] right? Like the fact that super involved
[26:41] in the Discord, doing all the other
[26:44] stuff like,
[26:45] >> you know, you want to find ways to stand
[26:46] out, right? Like take some leadership,
[26:48] start organizing different things, you
[26:50] know, start adding value in the
[26:51] community and um I don't know, also
[26:54] build really cool stuff. So like you got
[26:55] to again, you got to be the whole
[26:56] package. Congratulations, Kaiser. And
[26:59] thank you so much for jumping in there
[27:00] and being proactive and helping
[27:01] everybody else. I think that really
[27:02] helps. Builds a lot of goodwill, right?
[27:03] You build something really cool. And
[27:05] he's also like critiquing other people's
[27:06] websites. He's probably taking that and
[27:08] incorporating back into his own project
[27:10] and people see it and then people go and
[27:11] they evaluate. They check it out. They
[27:13] give it replica cash. It gets on our
[27:15] radar. Um, so thank you so much, Kaiser.
[27:17] Been great having you in this
[27:18] competition.
[27:20] Cool. Very. Okay. So that is third place
[27:23] meeting Bingo. And he's Kaiser.
[27:25] Congratulations taking down $3,000 in
[27:28] cash and it's an and right uh Francisco
[27:33] and 10k in credits. Is that fair or is
[27:35] it it's not right?
[27:37] >> Oh yes. Now it is now yes that is
[27:40] correct.
[27:40] >> It's like programming and or that
[27:43] matters. Um so yes and so 13K in prizes.
[27:47] Wow. Amazing. Kaiser, how about that
[27:49] dude? Kaiser's going to be celebrating
[27:51] this weekend tonight. Dude, pop that
[27:53] champagne. Okay. Yeah,
[27:55] >> second place. Let's talk about second
[27:57] place.
[27:58] >> Yeah, so
[27:59] this was also a crowd absolute favorite,
[28:04] one of the top replicash earners. Uh
[28:08] signals all across the board about this
[28:11] uh this application. Um
[28:15] useful for the family. Uh just one of
[28:18] those things that helps you kind of
[28:19] organize. It seems like so obvious. Uh
[28:21] the design really caught our attention.
[28:24] Uh lots of you know just yeah colors and
[28:27] thought and um anyway uh paper trail
[28:30] really just stood out across the board
[28:32] takes home second place 17,000 uh total
[28:35] uh between cash and um
[28:40] uh
[28:40] >> credits
[28:41] >> credits
[28:42] like yeah um
[28:44] >> I always say tokens by accident they
[28:45] give me credits.
[28:46] >> Yeah. So, um, and if you refresh the,
[28:50] um, yeah, if you refresh the winners
[28:53] page, that will also be, um, yeah, set
[28:56] up and ready to rock.
[28:57] >> Yeah, I I should be Do you should not
[28:59] see the my screen?
[29:00] >> Screen share. Yep.
[29:01] >> Yep. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Cool. So, yeah.
[29:03] So, uh, second place, paper trail. And
[29:05] then, how do I demo this? Do I just go?
[29:08] >> Uh, you have to create your account.
[29:10] Yeah. Um, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um,
[29:14] >> yeah, let's do that.
[29:15] >> Yeah. And I love this login with Replet
[29:17] for I know the clerk stuff's great. I
[29:19] know the um like other there's other
[29:21] options, but for the buildathons and for
[29:23] these internal tools and stuff, making
[29:24] it easy for us to get in there. I saw
[29:26] like a number of you um uh doing like
[29:29] little, hey, here's the buildathon story
[29:31] or here's like the link for the demo
[29:32] stuff. So, just great job um you know,
[29:34] doing some of that.
[29:36] >> And the idea here is I go in and I
[29:38] create a workspace for my family.
[29:41] >> Yeah. And this is this is like um you
[29:43] know scan the little thing that your son
[29:46] brought home from school and your your
[29:48] daughter has this assignment that's due
[29:49] tomorrow and uh you know she told you
[29:52] about it but you forgot or it was pinned
[29:53] to the refrigerator and it fell behind
[29:54] and now you don't remember like what So
[29:56] it's like organizing all these things
[29:57] that just get handed out at school or
[29:59] this thing that you see you know on the
[30:01] street somewhere or whatever. It's just
[30:03] starting to capture all these different
[30:05] things and then help you as a family
[30:06] kind of organize um the briefings and
[30:09] like what you know the what's the family
[30:12] supposed to be up to. Um so yeah just
[30:14] again another super active in the
[30:16] community very um very strong signals
[30:20] not from the person themselves building
[30:22] this but from other people uh testing
[30:24] scoring and interacting with it. Um so
[30:27] yeah just um well done across the board.
[30:30] >> Awesome. super helpful, too. Like, yeah,
[30:32] I I can see how this could be helpful to
[30:35] my family. So, definitely worth checking
[30:37] out really. And the design is really
[30:39] nice. It pops, as we mentioned, like the
[30:41] design communicates a lot, right? You
[30:43] can clearly see this is like for
[30:44] families. It's fun. It's it's popping in
[30:48] there. So, that's that that I think that
[30:49] helps a lot.
[30:51] >> Yeah.
[30:51] >> Cool. So,
[30:52] >> yep.
[30:53] >> Congratulations,
[30:54] Ryan [ย __ย ] Is it a horror? Um,
[30:58] congratulations on taking down second
[31:00] place. Okay, so we're at second place
[31:02] now. Hey everybody, are you ready for
[31:05] the grand prize reveal?
[31:08] Um, one second. Let me pull the Let me
[31:11] hit the button on the back there. Give
[31:13] me one second right quick. Um, this one.
[31:18] Okay, this one I didn't see for a while.
[31:20] Like the first time I saw this one, I
[31:22] was like, I don't know about this, you
[31:25] know? And then I dug in and then the
[31:28] project kind of just um
[31:30] I think in Discord you popped in um and
[31:35] shared and it caught our attention and
[31:37] um the way you package this up, the
[31:40] design, the concept, the use case, kind
[31:43] of everything that this thing does, the
[31:45] story behind it. Um even if you click uh
[31:47] yeah, like scroll down this whole thing,
[31:49] uh the product tour is great. It's a
[31:51] it's a great uh version of an AI video.
[31:53] A lot of you guys did AI videos that
[31:55] were bad. This this one again is like a
[31:58] good way to do a product demo video
[32:00] that's uh AI. Um click up top where it
[32:02] says the watch the story at the replet
[32:04] buildathon. Um all the way in the top
[32:06] nav.
[32:08] >> Uh ah thank you.
[32:10] >> Yep. Um so again packaged up a little
[32:13] story about you know the buildathon
[32:15] itself
[32:16] >> what you built you know like the spirit
[32:17] of the competition again organizing the
[32:19] things that you worked on. um the use
[32:23] case of you know the need this is
[32:25] serving for for you and the the the
[32:28] world you live in. Um again we talk
[32:30] about that like insight insider
[32:33] knowledge and like building things to
[32:34] solve really personalized
[32:37] um uh problems like this is the
[32:40] embodiment of that
[32:42] >> you know um love it. And so, yeah, and
[32:44] again, just the spirit of packaging this
[32:47] up, putting it together, telling us the
[32:50] story, building something beautiful that
[32:52] we're excited to kind of put out in the
[32:54] world and help you distribute. Like,
[32:56] this is this is it, right? The the the
[32:58] app is smooth. Everything works nicely.
[33:01] Um, it's just
[33:04] well well done, you know? Like, that's
[33:06] all I can say.
[33:07] >> And dude, check out this onboarding
[33:09] product tour. This is really nice.
[33:11] >> It's beautiful. everything about it.
[33:12] This is like well thought out front to
[33:15] back. Nadia, you like outdid yourself
[33:17] here. Um
[33:19] >> yeah, just kudos across the board.
[33:21] >> And as we're doing the critiques, how
[33:23] many times do we just get dropped into a
[33:25] platform on the back end and we're like,
[33:27] "Okay, what am I doing here?" So, this
[33:29] is like a really nice way just to
[33:31] introduce someone really fast to your
[33:33] overall platform and show them around,
[33:35] get them going. This is really, really
[33:38] neat. And yeah, I mean, what I like
[33:40] about this is it's It's this idea that
[33:42] now that programming and software is
[33:45] becoming so much more readily available.
[33:47] It means that people that are close to
[33:50] the problem can now custom build
[33:52] applications that they see in the real
[33:55] world that they think are just going to
[33:57] be most impactful. And so I think you
[34:00] know previously you had a world where
[34:01] software was so expensive so you needed
[34:03] to have like a large user base to build
[34:06] these things out. Now, if you're running
[34:09] these lectures or you're doing these
[34:10] types of classes, you know exactly what
[34:12] your students need. You can go and you
[34:13] can build this out in 24 hours. The fact
[34:15] this got done in 24 hours is crazy. And
[34:18] it's like perfectly tailored to your
[34:21] user, your customers, the people that
[34:23] you're serving. Um, and it's just so
[34:25] beautifully and well designed. I love
[34:27] this. This is great. I think I think
[34:28] Amjad tweeted this out too. So, it's got
[34:30] Amjad really liked this too.
[34:32] >> Yeah. Yeah. And again, um, the story,
[34:35] Nadia, uh, I think you're in the chat
[34:37] here. Uh,
[34:38] >> hey, Nadia.
[34:39] >> Yeah. So, just, um,
[34:41] >> she's crying over here.
[34:45] >> Yeah. And this is one of those things
[34:46] again, a teacher, ground level, building
[34:49] something that's close to her heart, a
[34:52] personal passion project like um,
[34:56] accessibility all around the board,
[34:58] just, you know, like amazing. Uh,
[35:00] honestly, just amazing. Yeah. Yeah. And
[35:03] I think um we're going to see more of
[35:04] this where like these niche communities
[35:07] that are like smaller proportions of our
[35:09] overall population, they're going to get
[35:12] access to higher grade tooling and
[35:15] software because it's so much easier to
[35:17] build it out. Um so I'm really excited
[35:19] about this. I saw a couple of other
[35:21] builds in this direction. A lot of
[35:23] teachers coming in and building out
[35:24] their own custom stuff. So I, you know,
[35:27] we talk about AI making an impact in the
[35:29] world. I think this is a really great
[35:30] use case here. This is a very good trend
[35:32] that these smaller smaller less served
[35:35] populations are going to get access to
[35:37] worldclass software.
[35:38] >> Yeah. And I think it's, you know, it's
[35:40] it's like um and we did we saw this with
[35:43] agent 4 buildathon a little bit where
[35:44] folks overbuilt apps. They built these
[35:47] crazy complicated convoluted things and
[35:49] then they're like, "Oh, hey, like um you
[35:52] know, why didn't I win? Like my app's
[35:53] more functional or it does this or like
[35:55] it was better." Well, you know, like
[35:57] again, the story matters, the
[35:59] marketability matters, the, you know,
[36:00] like just showing us that you rebuilt
[36:02] some messenger app with like lots of
[36:04] features, like that's super cool, but
[36:07] it's not this, you know, like it doesn't
[36:08] match the spirit of this story, right?
[36:11] Which is kind of the thing we're looking
[36:12] for in addition to the software. We talk
[36:14] all the time building is a big part of
[36:16] it, but the story, the messaging, the
[36:18] packaging, like you know, like that all,
[36:21] you know, carries so much weight,
[36:22] especially as these, you know, this
[36:24] volume of submissions come in. So yeah,
[36:26] great great job,
[36:26] >> Nadia.
[36:28] >> And it reminds me of a quote that I
[36:29] recently saw on X something to the
[36:30] effect of the most creative thing you
[36:32] can do is the most personal thing to
[36:34] you. And I think this is a perfect
[36:36] encapsulation like what's more personal
[36:37] to Nadia than helping kids that are like
[36:41] have the the you know the same
[36:42] challenges that she has. And you know
[36:45] this this is a great example. So again
[36:46] we tell keep telling people like you
[36:48] know build on what you know, build on
[36:50] your own experiences, build on your own
[36:52] pain points, help yourself out and then
[36:53] help others as well. Yeah.
[36:57] Yeah. Great. Um, so congrats. Those are
[36:59] the top three. Uh, the winners are
[37:01] pinned in the chat and we will continue
[37:03] to add for the rest of the seven
[37:06] honorable mentions that came through.
[37:09] Um, yeah, I uh, what do we do? We just
[37:12] go to the next one.
[37:13] >> Yeah, I think we're going to go to the
[37:13] next one. And again, Nadia, congrats.
[37:16] you are taking down $15,000
[37:20] in cash and $10,000
[37:24] in credit. So, a total hall of $25,000
[37:28] for 24 hours worth of work. That's not
[37:31] bad. That's not bad, Nadia. Good work on
[37:34] that. On top of 24 hours worth of free
[37:38] replet credits. So, how about that?
[37:41] Happy birthday to you, Nadia. like we
[37:44] had in the birthday, but we're
[37:45] celebrating you. Congrats on taking down
[37:47] that prize. Very neat. Okay, so now
[37:50] we're going to go through the honorable
[37:52] mentions. So, slots four through 10. So,
[37:57] do you want to place on there?
[37:59] >> Just um yeah, this one is a cool story
[38:03] as well. Um this is coming from an
[38:06] ambassador. Uh this was a a last uh
[38:09] minute caught our eye here. uh
[38:11] all-in-one platform for importers and
[38:13] forwarders. Uh kind of like an
[38:15] international um problem to solve
[38:18] between like trying to get products, you
[38:20] know, from different companies and um
[38:22] solving real problems. Again, uh real
[38:24] users, real uh
[38:28] like progress made over the last uh the
[38:30] buildathon of the 24 hours. So, of like
[38:31] the usage uh is, you know, like out
[38:34] through the roof on top of this. um but
[38:36] also what they're doing again on the
[38:38] ground level in the real world and the
[38:40] types of people they're supporting um
[38:42] just really stood out to us. So uh Dala
[38:44] if you refresh the uh winners's page
[38:46] should should now be um listed there. Um
[38:49] and again real customers, real business
[38:51] happening on this uh application. um
[38:53] this is out in the real world and yeah I
[38:55] think uh really took advantage of u you
[38:59] know submission from agent 4 to here um
[39:03] stepping up what they built the quality
[39:04] of the site overall etc.
[39:06] >> Felicades Jose Carlos I think he's is he
[39:10] from is he in Chile? I think he was from
[39:12] Chile.
[39:13] >> Jose Carlos if you're in the chat say hi
[39:15] tell us where you're where you're from.
[39:17] But yeah this is really neat. It's very
[39:19] well designed. It's got a marketplace
[39:21] here. I can click on stuff and check the
[39:24] things out. Oh, and look, we talked
[39:26] about this earlier too, right? In our
[39:28] critiques. It's got both Spanish and
[39:30] English. Again, some of you made
[39:32] submissions that looked really good, but
[39:34] they were in your local language. It's
[39:36] hard for us to review that. And it's
[39:38] very easy for Replet to add
[39:40] internationalization
[39:42] to your application with one prompt. So,
[39:44] definitely take advantage of that. Wow,
[39:46] look at this. The UI is very neat, very
[39:48] clean.
[39:49] This is so good.
[39:50] >> Yeah. No. Um again, and um if you look
[39:53] back at like the the video from before
[39:56] of what this was versus what it is now,
[39:58] um just lots of progress made over the
[40:00] course of the birthday weekend. Um you
[40:02] know, well focused effort across the
[40:04] build. Um yeah. So again, uh from Peru.
[40:08] Uh he is from Peru, I guess. Maybe
[40:10] somebody saying in the chat, I don't
[40:11] know. Deser Peru. Felicidades, Juan
[40:15] Carlos,
[40:17] Mui Bueno.
[40:20] Um, okay, cool. Very neat. So, we're
[40:22] going to have to make sure we invite him
[40:24] when we do a South American tour,
[40:26] replete. So,
[40:27] >> yeah, Latin America. I'm super popping,
[40:30] right?
[40:31] >> Yeah. I know. I I
[40:32] >> Brazil, dude. Crazy.
[40:34] >> Brazil, Argentina. I love I I've been um
[40:37] to South America like six times in the
[40:41] last six months. Some crazy, you know,
[40:42] like some crazy things. something like
[40:44] that five times the last six months and
[40:46] uh just fall in love with it more and
[40:47] more every time I go. So, um
[40:49] >> is that something you'd be interested in
[40:50] helping us out with? Rhymar, a South
[40:52] America tour.
[40:53] >> What you mean?
[40:54] >> He's going to be leaving.
[40:57] >> Very neat. Okay, so congratulations
[40:58] again
[41:00] taking down $10,000 in replicate
[41:04] credits. Who approved this? This is
[41:06] crazy. This is wild. Um so looking
[41:10] forward to what you do with that. Okay,
[41:13] number five.
[41:15] >> Yeah, this one was a fun re-imagination
[41:21] of a game that I think a lot of us might
[41:23] have some experience with. Um, and
[41:27] caught our attention on socials. Also,
[41:29] just a fun playful app. Things work very
[41:31] nicely uh in the application itself. Uh,
[41:34] Sanman uh great job with letter bombs.
[41:38] It's basically like a reimagining of
[41:39] Mind Sweeper except for uh you know in
[41:42] the shape of different letters and just
[41:44] created a fun interactive game here um
[41:47] that I you know again the video stood
[41:50] out. Um it's going to demo well it's a
[41:54] beautiful app. Um
[41:55] >> you see this interaction dude?
[41:57] >> What is it?
[41:57] >> This is what you see my screen.
[41:59] >> Yeah.
[41:59] >> Oh my gosh. This is so cool. And um I
[42:03] chatted with him on on LinkedIn and he
[42:06] designed a lot of this in Figma and was
[42:07] bringing it over into Reply using our
[42:09] Figma MCP. Um and this is just so
[42:12] beautifully designed. So if I go here to
[42:13] start the game, the idea here is that
[42:16] this is the question and the the the
[42:20] answer starts with a letter and that
[42:22] letter is made up of bombs here. So you
[42:24] want to avoid that. you want to answer
[42:25] the question and here's the the full
[42:28] word and then if you click on one of
[42:29] these then okay so that gets revealed so
[42:32] it's probably like a C or something and
[42:34] then if you hit one of the bombs game
[42:36] over you're cooked so uh I thought that
[42:39] was a lot of fun
[42:41] >> yeah again it's um a playful reinvention
[42:44] of something lots of people are familiar
[42:45] with so there's like a little bit of
[42:46] nostalgia here there was a great video
[42:48] uh that kind of again this demos nicely
[42:51] lots of people were playing and sharing
[42:52] this so again other folks in the
[42:54] community gave us signal that was like,
[42:56] hey, this is cool. We like this. Um, we
[42:58] talked a lot at the beginning of the
[42:59] buildathon that we were going to rely on
[43:01] crowd intelligence. And so, again, we'll
[43:02] talk a little bit about um that here as
[43:04] we go, but this was, you know, it just
[43:06] stood out across the board in Discord,
[43:08] across socials, and um even across the
[43:11] scores and people who favored it. Um so,
[43:13] yeah, uh great great work. Uh yeah, all
[43:18] around
[43:19] >> to your point, I think you did a really
[43:21] good job putting together a video.
[43:23] Again, we've been recommending folks
[43:25] that they put their um let me move this
[43:29] here.
[43:31] We've been recommending that folks put
[43:32] their face on camera. Um but no, he did
[43:36] a great job of just walking through the
[43:38] process, the idea, um his thinking of
[43:42] how um how it all came together, the
[43:45] tools that he was using, and it was all
[43:47] very tight and very neat, very well
[43:49] edited. So, we keep saying this like
[43:51] it's it's not, you know, I think, you
[43:52] know, to win these, you know, we're
[43:53] trying to prepare you for winning out in
[43:55] the marketplace. It's not enough for you
[43:57] to have a good idea. You also have to
[43:59] build a really cool app and it's got to
[44:01] have some nice UI. It's got to be clear
[44:03] and concise, but then on top of that,
[44:05] you also have to be able to get
[44:06] attention and get people into that app
[44:08] and to try it out. And so, that's how,
[44:11] you know, this came on our radar. Uh,
[44:13] Rhymar was like, "Dude, check out this
[44:14] video. It's really good." Like, yeah,
[44:16] this is a good video. I like it. Good
[44:17] story. Let me go check it out. And so
[44:19] continue to you're going to continue to
[44:20] see this from us. We want to make sure
[44:22] that you're flexing both of those
[44:23] muscles muscles. You have to be a
[44:25] builder and you have to be able to sell.
[44:28] Need need both to win. And so that's a
[44:30] good example here.
[44:32] >> Yeah. Yeah. And um I see somebody asked
[44:35] like, "Do I need to have does not having
[44:36] a video in the submission disqualify?"
[44:38] It does not disqualify you. Uh but it
[44:40] doesn't help your odds, you know. It it
[44:42] doesn't help. Uh especially when there's
[44:44] this many submissions and we're looking
[44:46] for like, you know, we we scrubbed
[44:48] through almost 10,000 sub submissions,
[44:50] y'all. There were 2300 and what was the
[44:53] what's the number back there? Uh hang
[44:55] on. Uh
[44:56] >> 23,000
[44:58] signups.
[44:59] >> Something like that. No, hang on. I'm
[45:00] looking specifically for uh this one.
[45:04] Hang on, hang on, hang on. This is the
[45:06] number I'm trying to get to.
[45:09] 2115
[45:11] fully qualified.
[45:13] >> O yeah
[45:14] >> like you know
[45:18] it's it's one of those things where like
[45:19] it's just it's hard you know and so
[45:21] having a video again having a
[45:23] beautifully designed site uh getting
[45:25] active in the Discord uh showing up to
[45:28] the office hours like all these are
[45:29] things you can do to elevate. They're
[45:30] not things that like have to happen.
[45:32] Like not all of the winners here uh were
[45:34] in office hours or were active in the
[45:36] Discord or you know like they don't all
[45:39] check every single box, but checking as
[45:41] many of those boxes as you can really
[45:43] helps uh when when it's this type of um
[45:46] volume and and size scale of
[45:47] competition.
[45:48] >> And and I keep repeating this, but I
[45:50] think you know people are not buying
[45:51] your app, they're buying you. And so I
[45:54] think the best way to communicate that
[45:55] is through a story. And the best way to
[45:57] communicate that is through a video. So,
[45:59] the way that I was going through a lot
[46:00] of these submissions, I was just
[46:01] checking out the video really fast. Did
[46:02] it catch my attention? Cool. Then I'll
[46:04] dig a little bit deeper, right?
[46:06] >> And then also, if you have a good video,
[46:08] that makes it more likely that you get
[46:09] on other people's radar. So, other
[46:11] people in the buildathon, other people
[46:13] out there. So, if you post something and
[46:15] I see the video, you tag me and I see
[46:16] like five likes or comments and stuff
[46:18] like that, that means that you've done a
[46:20] good job of conveying your message to
[46:22] random strangers. and either those
[46:24] people have signaled on social media
[46:26] with likes and or those people have gone
[46:28] onto the buildathon site and given you
[46:30] replica and favored it and then that
[46:33] moves you up on a radar as well. So
[46:35] again, you got to be able to build, you
[46:37] got to be able to sell and help, you
[46:39] know, you can figure out different ways
[46:40] to do that. But we just think that a
[46:41] nice 90 second video is the best way to
[46:43] do that.
[46:44] >> Yeah. And I just want to like point out
[46:46] also some of you are just absolutely
[46:49] terrible at trying to get like build
[46:52] relationships. Like I'm just going to be
[46:53] real blunt about it or or trying to get
[46:54] noticed. Like there is no world where
[46:57] just shoving your product in front of
[46:59] people's faces is going to do any like
[47:01] any good for you. Like it's going to it
[47:03] you become an annoyance at that point,
[47:05] right? Like if a conversation is
[47:07] happening in Discord and people are into
[47:09] what's happening and you're just like,
[47:11] "Hey, look at me." Like people are just
[47:13] going to ignore you and they're like,
[47:14] "Nobody pays attention to me." Like jump
[47:15] into the conversation. What's happening
[47:17] in the moment? Right? Like let's imagine
[47:19] we're at an event, right? Like let's
[47:20] imagine you come up to me at Vibecon and
[47:22] you just like bring your business card
[47:24] and smack it in my face. I have zero to
[47:27] talk to you about after that point,
[47:28] right? But if you come up, you're like,
[47:30] "Yo, what's up, Rhymar? I love watching
[47:32] the streams." Blah, blah, what you know,
[47:33] like, "Hey, the last thing you said
[47:35] about this or your last project,
[47:37] whatever, super cool. Guess what? What
[47:38] I'm going to do?" Oh, that's amazing.
[47:40] What's your name? What are you like
[47:41] building blah, you know? And like now
[47:43] you've you got me, right? Right? And so
[47:45] the online world works the same thing
[47:47] like these relation like you have to I
[47:49] don't know how more like listen to my
[47:51] tone of my voice. You have to get good
[47:53] at this if you want to make money at
[47:54] this stuff. And if you like if you're
[47:57] following along and if you're building
[47:58] and you're investing in this stuff like
[48:00] please take time to learn some of the
[48:01] soft skills, right? Like learn from the
[48:03] winners, learn from the people that
[48:05] stand out, learn from the people that
[48:07] are really kind of, you know, like doing
[48:09] this well. And we point them out. This
[48:10] is why we shout people out. This is why
[48:11] we like point attention like all of the
[48:13] folks and and we try to tell you like
[48:15] this is what stood out to us, right?
[48:16] Because these are the things that will
[48:18] separate you. If you think you can just
[48:20] be in the in the in the back in the dark
[48:22] building and you're just going to like
[48:24] that era is over. You have to figure out
[48:26] how to again humanize your experience,
[48:28] connect with real people and and and and
[48:31] filter up to the top. And that almost
[48:33] never comes with interrupting the line
[48:35] of thought with your attention. This is
[48:36] why everyone hates advertising, right?
[48:39] you're just like don't be crap
[48:41] advertising like don't be that person
[48:43] right like everyone hates they're
[48:44] watching YouTube or whatever and then
[48:46] the commercial break nobody likes that
[48:48] don't be the commercial break right you
[48:49] want to be the story that people sit
[48:52] down to watch right like
[48:55] >> yeah totally like yeah don't be the
[48:57] commercial break be the product
[48:59] placement kind of thing right like in
[49:01] the movie when James Bond rides out on
[49:03] that Jaguar like oh dang I kind of want
[49:04] a Jaguar but they're not saying like hey
[49:06] buy this Jaguar kind of thing right
[49:08] they're Don't you want to be cool like
[49:09] me? Check out my Jags.
[49:11] >> Yeah.
[49:12] >> Yeah. And it's one of those things
[49:13] again, it's like um we all have to learn
[49:14] these things, right? Like not all of
[49:16] these things come naturally to us. This
[49:17] is not something that like every culture
[49:19] does the same, you know, like this
[49:21] there's a lot of things to take into
[49:22] account here, right? And so like again,
[49:24] that's why we try to instruct and that's
[49:26] why sometimes, you know, we try to like
[49:27] point out like, hey, this is a serious
[49:28] moment right now, right? Like just take
[49:30] this advice, you know? Like it's
[49:33] something we can all learn from. I had
[49:35] to learn a ton of this early in my
[49:36] career. like I'm very I'm very blunt.
[49:39] I'm very straightforward. You guys see
[49:40] this on the stream all the time, right?
[49:41] And so a lot of times, you know, like
[49:42] that doesn't serve me well in the
[49:44] outside world, right? Like and so um
[49:47] again, we all have to learn how to adapt
[49:49] and and and uh kind of take the next
[49:52] step in our career, in our creative
[49:54] path. Uh and I think this is one of
[49:55] those moments where like not only can
[49:56] you build this stuff, but like you can
[49:58] build the skill set alongside of this
[49:59] technical skill that can really take you
[50:01] to the next level. And I I think again
[50:03] that's a lot of the value that people
[50:04] are getting out of out of some of this
[50:05] stuff. Totally. And the good and the
[50:07] good thing is that's the type of skills
[50:09] that we're also trying to help you out
[50:10] with, not only in our competitions, the
[50:12] way we frame like we worked hard. We
[50:13] said like, yeah, you know, originally we
[50:14] were thinking like, do we just do a
[50:15] build? Like, no, no, it's it's build and
[50:18] it's sales. So, we need a video, too.
[50:20] And so, by participating in these
[50:22] competitions, you're going to build that
[50:23] up. And then by also seeing who we
[50:24] highlight, cuz if you look at my ex um
[50:27] thread, like I'm pushing out like videos
[50:28] that I really like, like, yeah, these
[50:29] are captivating, these are interesting.
[50:30] Go check these out. So, you'll learn.
[50:32] It's a skill that we all got to pick up.
[50:34] But
[50:35] >> yeah. Well, and we saw so many people
[50:36] like push themselves on this, right?
[50:38] Like this is like there were so many
[50:39] people that came out especially like
[50:41] over the last um you know like people
[50:43] posting videos that are now posting like
[50:45] I see them posting daily that had not
[50:46] posted on social, right? Um there's
[50:48] people that again are making sales and
[50:50] building. I see the connections
[50:51] happening on X um you know like as
[50:54] they're you know so again it might be
[50:56] uncomfortable to do some of this and we
[50:58] see you all doing that but that's why we
[50:59] want to keep encouraging it right like
[51:00] that's why we kind of again encourage
[51:02] you all to step out of that comfort zone
[51:03] because your comfort zone will continue
[51:04] to expand to fit in all these things and
[51:07] so it's just a little uncomfortable or
[51:09] you know I saw somebody say something
[51:10] here about like introverts can't win I
[51:12] don't think that's true at all I think
[51:13] you just have to find different ways to
[51:15] again do these same things I you know
[51:18] I'm
[51:18] >> our most recent winner letter bomb he
[51:20] put himself on camera. He found a way to
[51:22] do it, right? So, we're not saying
[51:24] that's our recommend. I think cuz we're
[51:25] both kind of extroverted. So, like,
[51:27] yeah, put yourself on camera. Why not?
[51:28] But Letter Bomb didn't do that. So,
[51:30] there's a way for you to figure it out.
[51:32] And it might take you some cycles to
[51:34] figure it out. This is another reason
[51:35] why I think you want to do this because
[51:36] you're going to figure out your the way
[51:38] you communicate your channel, your
[51:39] format, but you got to start doing it.
[51:42] >> Yeah.
[51:43] >> All right, let's
[51:45] we can go like side quest, dude. We got
[51:47] to This is so important for y'all
[51:49] though, so we got to hit it. All right,
[51:50] so um congratulations, Salman. $10,000
[51:54] in credits. Let's move on to number six.
[51:57] Our second honor or third honorable
[51:59] mention.
[52:00] >> Yeah, and this was another one that just
[52:02] kind of visually uh stood out. Um also,
[52:07] um
[52:08] just kind of fun, playful experience. Uh
[52:11] tiny universe lab here. um a little
[52:15] solar system explorer if you go uh yeah
[52:19] just go to start exploring right there
[52:20] and just dumps you into this cool little
[52:22] interactive uh thing that you can you
[52:25] can change the gravity you can kind of
[52:27] play with the speed of the the rotation
[52:29] you can kind of learn about the
[52:30] different planets about the different um
[52:33] I don't know just very interactive very
[52:35] educational very visually stunning um
[52:39] >> you see you can drop meteors in here
[52:41] dude
[52:42] >> oh and they blow
[52:43] That's crazy. Oh,
[52:45] >> dude. So many little gems, so many
[52:47] little nuggets. Um,
[52:49] >> that's awesome. And I feel we reviewed
[52:51] this on Tuesday, right? And like they
[52:53] did they they took the feedback and they
[52:55] improved on this.
[52:56] >> Yes, correct. Lots of uh lots of
[52:58] improvements. Um, which again, uh, just
[53:02] seeing this thing built and then looking
[53:03] at their build time over the course of
[53:05] the 24 hours, uh, was impressive, but
[53:08] then also taking some, you know,
[53:09] constructive feedback and, um, you know,
[53:11] not too many changes. We just told them,
[53:13] "Hey, instead of dumping us into here,
[53:14] dump us into this view. This is the
[53:16] money shot." They were kind of like I
[53:17] think it was like a It was a very subtle
[53:19] change. It was like, "Hey, when we came
[53:21] in, we kind of went into this other view
[53:23] that was a little limiting and then we
[53:25] like found this view and we're like,
[53:26] "Oh, wait. This view is better. Like,
[53:28] start here." And totally did that. Um,
[53:30] so
[53:30] >> and it's so much more functional because
[53:31] I think when we tried it on Tuesday, the
[53:33] black hole thing didn't work and now
[53:34] here it is a black hole just sucking up
[53:36] all these planets.
[53:39] This is so cool fun and you know so
[53:42] again I mean we keep talking about how
[53:43] AI is changing everything and one area
[53:46] that AI is going to change is education.
[53:48] So think about like learning about this
[53:50] stuff like two years ago you got a
[53:52] textbook okay there's some good visuals
[53:54] there but now contrast that with this
[53:56] like oh you want to learn about the
[53:57] solar system come in here as a second
[53:59] grader start clicking around start
[54:01] learning this is so much more fun this
[54:04] is awesome.
[54:05] >> Yeah. Yeah. And again, um, we we love
[54:07] just the playful instant like again when
[54:11] you're sub when you're running through
[54:12] all these submissions and you see
[54:13] something that's just like fun for a
[54:14] minute and you're like, "Ah, this is
[54:16] cool." You know, and then you get stuck
[54:17] for a few minutes playing with it and
[54:18] it's this total like uh, you know,
[54:22] difference from the from going through
[54:23] some of the other like the repetitive
[54:25] nature of some of the other ones or like
[54:26] the long onboarding processes or
[54:28] whatever. I don't know, you know. And so
[54:29] you see something like this, it's like
[54:30] bing, it pops. Yeah. Yeah. It catches
[54:32] your eye, catches your attention. It's
[54:34] uh we talked about it at the fun at the
[54:35] beginning, you know, like we weren't
[54:37] looking for uh just like the next
[54:39] productivity app. We were looking for
[54:40] fun, playful things that catch your
[54:42] attention. Uh that kind of thing. So,
[54:44] >> I'm having too much fun on that.
[54:47] Okay. So, congratulations, Tiny Universe
[54:52] Lab. $10,000 in replicate credit. Good
[54:56] job getting feedback, making it better.
[54:58] That's what we want to see. We want to
[54:59] see that delta, that change, that level
[55:01] up. Great job. Okay, so our next
[55:05] honorable mention here who's taking down
[55:08] another 10K in credits. Rimar,
[55:10] >> this is a another just fun, playful,
[55:16] very useful um application uh built
[55:21] around um music. I we can just say it's
[55:25] it's uh sticks I think is how it is by
[55:28] Jesse Fishman. Um, it's a drum drum
[55:32] tool. I don't even know what you would
[55:33] call this. Like a a drum kit type thing.
[55:35] Um, what caught my attention here? What
[55:38] caught our attention here is like the
[55:42] Yeah. See what ship click that just just
[55:44] real quick. U I want to show like first
[55:46] of all, beautiful change log.
[55:48] >> Wow.
[55:48] >> You know, like so really thought this
[55:50] thing through. Um, and if you go back to
[55:53] the front, there's like just fun demos.
[55:55] This was just really thought out. Um,
[55:58] very interactive,
[56:00] playful. Um, yeah, got the different uh
[56:03] Oh, I don't think the audio is coming
[56:05] through here.
[56:06] >> Oh, it's not. Wait,
[56:07] >> no.
[56:08] >> Oh, no. Okay,
[56:09] >> click that timing test one on the right.
[56:12] This was fun for me. This is like um
[56:14] because this is always hard to like keep
[56:15] a beat and so it's almost like Guitar
[56:16] Hero where you have to try to like match
[56:18] the beat and so you can practice
[56:19] matching the beat. Um, you can kind of
[56:23] uh yeah, learn how to keep a beat a
[56:25] little bit. um and all this stuff.
[56:26] Again, we talk about like don't make me
[56:28] log in, don't make me go through all
[56:29] this long process, don't make me like do
[56:31] all this work to like start
[56:33] understanding the value here. This gave
[56:34] me so much value on the front end that I
[56:36] was like, oh, like if I was like if this
[56:38] is a thing that I was interested in,
[56:39] like I'm I'm going I'm jumping in, you
[56:41] know? Um and I just spent a bunch of
[56:44] time. Again, it was one of those things
[56:45] that like I got lost playing with this
[56:47] uh the app, if if you see here too, the
[56:49] screenshots for the app. Um scroll down
[56:51] a little bit.
[56:52] >> Oh, yeah. So, he's got a mobile app also
[56:54] that goes with this. And again, it's
[56:56] very nicely done. Um, just Yeah. Well
[56:59] done here.
[57:00] >> I like this cuz sometimes they say like,
[57:02] "Oh, we have a mobile app as well." And
[57:04] they give you the link to the Expo Go or
[57:07] even in Test Light or the App Store, but
[57:09] I don't want to I don't necessarily want
[57:11] to go through those steps. It's great
[57:12] just to have it here so I can quickly
[57:13] scan it. That's super cool.
[57:15] >> Jesse Fishman in the house. Yeah. Pay
[57:18] the credits to build.
[57:20] >> Let's go. Jesse, what are you building
[57:21] next with those 10k credits? You going
[57:23] to build this out?
[57:24] >> That's right.
[57:25] >> Um, this is really And the the design is
[57:28] beautiful. Like, it seems like Jesse is
[57:30] a designer by trade. This is really
[57:32] cool.
[57:33] >> It's called a drum machine synth. Thank
[57:35] you.
[57:37] >> We don't have a category for that.
[57:39] >> Yeah.
[57:40] >> Very neat. Well,
[57:41] >> and again, this is one of those things
[57:42] where he says, uh, this is good. My my
[57:44] drummer musician friends would love
[57:45] this. Yeah. You know, like again, it's
[57:46] simple, usable. if I'm teaching someone
[57:49] like let's say I'm a music instructor
[57:50] and I need a little something, you know,
[57:52] like and I got a free tool that I can
[57:53] give to someone and say, "Hey, check
[57:55] this thing out." So, yeah.
[57:57] >> Yeah. Makes makes homework much much
[57:58] more fun.
[58:00] >> Yeah. And uh let's see. Cortex safe is
[58:02] saying, "Where is it?" Cortex uh winners
[58:05] are being updated on the website in real
[58:07] time. Yes, correct. If you go to the
[58:09] winners page as we announce a new one,
[58:12] uh they are being updated. So, the
[58:13] winners page is um current as of uh
[58:16] yeah, that last announcement.
[58:18] >> Very neat. Let me go ahead and drop that
[58:20] in the chat, too, so people have
[58:22] >> It's pinned chat. Yep. Perfect.
[58:24] >> It's pinned in the top of the YouTube
[58:25] chat. Yep.
[58:26] >> Let's go.
[58:26] >> I should have said that.
[58:29] >> Very neat. Okay, so congratulations,
[58:32] Jesse. Okay, so our next honorable
[58:36] mention taking down 10K in replet
[58:38] credits. Rhymar is
[58:40] >> another one. I saw Listen, what did I
[58:42] see? I didn't mark it. Somebody said
[58:43] only fun in the chat. Um yeah, fun fun
[58:47] fun. So this next one is again super
[58:51] playful. Um like just visually
[58:56] appealing. I could imagine lots of kids
[58:58] playing with this. It was built by a a
[59:01] seven-year-old. I I I don't know uh how
[59:03] much you know with his mom. Yeah. Um
[59:06] this again another great story. And then
[59:08] Manny just like drop some dominoes on
[59:10] here and and fire off that like start.
[59:13] But have them overlap each other a
[59:14] little bit.
[59:16] >> Look at that.
[59:18] >> I wish you could hear it. Draw draw them
[59:20] like criss-crossing each other. Like
[59:21] draw some overlapping shapes and like um
[59:23] like watch how they like zoom out a
[59:25] little bit on the screen.
[59:27] >> Yeah. Zoom out. And then like like draw
[59:29] like bigger. Just just go crazy with the
[59:32] Yeah. Like
[59:32] >> I can tell you've spent a fair amount of
[59:34] time on here, Rymore.
[59:35] >> Yeah. Use a little use Yeah. scroll
[59:37] around there and then like have it cut
[59:38] through. There you go. And now trigger
[59:39] this thing and watch how they all kind
[59:41] of like trigger off each other. Hit the
[59:42] start button on the bottom. Yeah, there
[59:43] you go.
[59:44] >> Oh,
[59:45] >> and so you can then set different things
[59:46] to kind of trigger them. You can kind of
[59:48] like
[59:49] >> um have different interactive elements.
[59:52] Like there is there's a lot here. This
[59:54] is super cool. Um
[59:55] >> what does this blast thing do?
[59:57] >> Uh I I don't know specifically what each
[60:00] of them does. I there's just a like you
[60:02] just I just got lost on it.
[60:05] Uh and you know what? Like when you set
[60:07] this stuff up in real life, it's hard to
[60:08] clean up. But this I just had to, you
[60:09] know, you just hit reset and it's like
[60:11] bang, we start over,
[60:12] >> dude. Definitely sending the kiss to
[60:13] this one, dude. Yeah. To your point, no
[60:15] cleanup, dude.
[60:18] >> Yeah. Oh my god, we won. Look at this.
[60:20] >> Hey, are they in the chat?
[60:22] >> I Yeah, I don't know if the whole team
[60:24] is or if this was a team effort or what,
[60:26] but yeah, this is um fun.
[60:28] >> Very cool. No, that was this is a super
[60:30] fun game. And yeah, like again, also on
[60:32] this one, the I saw the video that got
[60:35] my attention initially and not like
[60:38] nothing fancy, just like, hey, here I am
[60:42] with my kid. We're building this app.
[60:44] Here's the basic idea. Check it out. We
[60:46] think you might like it. That's it. Like
[60:48] that pro that took like 10 minutes. And
[60:51] but it's telling the story and doing it
[60:53] well and doing it authentically. Then
[60:55] then you back it up with a great app.
[60:56] That's a winning combination right here.
[60:58] 10K credit.
[60:59] >> And this is the comment here. Wow, this
[61:00] one had top place potential. Every one
[61:02] of these top 10 like and there's another
[61:04] 20 behind that. We literally like fought
[61:07] over like
[61:10] I mean it was so hard to like how do you
[61:13] how do you do it? Like you guys are so
[61:14] talented, right? Like so how do you how
[61:16] do you whittle this down? So like yes,
[61:18] you know, like we could have issued 50,
[61:20] you know, honorable mentions. So like to
[61:22] whittle this down was I mean we lost
[61:24] sleep and I know I specifically did just
[61:27] the stress of like
[61:29] Yeah. So, I hear you. Um, you know, we
[61:32] appreciate you all. Uh, yes, it was very
[61:35] difficult challenge trying to figure out
[61:36] even amongst the top 10 like how do we
[61:38] break this down? And so, um, anyway,
[61:41] >> amazingly,
[61:42] >> off to the next one.
[61:43] >> Two more.
[61:44] >> Yeah. Two more. What?
[61:45] >> Two more.
[61:46] >> Yeah.
[61:46] >> Number nine, honorable mention.
[61:49] >> Okay, let me pull the button here so
[61:52] that it shows.
[61:52] >> I like this one. I saw this one again.
[61:54] video worked well and it's like very
[61:57] practical, very interesting, very niche,
[61:59] close to home, all the things that I
[62:01] like to see.
[62:03] >> And the winner is honorable mention goes
[62:07] to print floor 3D. Congratulations,
[62:11] Carlos.
[62:13] Okay, so the basic idea here is that
[62:18] there's a shop floor and you want to
[62:20] design the layout. So, if you're some
[62:23] sort of engineer,
[62:24] >> share your screen, by the way. Here you
[62:25] go.
[62:26] >> Oh, no. Sorry about that.
[62:27] >> Oh, there it is.
[62:28] >> Here we go. So, you want to design the
[62:30] layout. Check this out. It's so smooth.
[62:32] It's so buttery and it's so detailed. I
[62:35] can zoom in here and I can see like, oh,
[62:38] that's a like the Bops Master Flex. And
[62:41] it gives me details here. I can play
[62:43] around. So, like if you're setting up a
[62:45] shop floor, I got to imagine this is
[62:46] going to be super practical before you
[62:48] invest in all this equipment and the
[62:50] setup and stuff like that. Um, so I just
[62:52] thought it was so functional, like so
[62:54] useful. This, I think, sells well. Like
[62:57] you can you can find your target market
[62:58] pretty straightforwardly. You can send
[63:00] them like some nice cold email like a
[63:02] demo and I think you could get a lot of
[63:04] uptick on this. um as
[63:06] >> well and and the other thing is yeah
[63:08] like thinking about laying out a
[63:10] manufacturing facility or a warehouse or
[63:12] any of these big like spaces like this
[63:14] being able to visualize quickly and drop
[63:16] different equipment into a 3D space and
[63:20] kind of understand this is like
[63:22] >> just you know like un like it's amazing
[63:25] value to folks who are building these
[63:27] types of things. Um, so
[63:29] >> look, it's got jobs. Like, so it's got
[63:31] workflows, it's got jobs, got the 3D
[63:34] floor plan. There's a lot going on here.
[63:35] This is This is really cool.
[63:37] >> Yeah.
[63:37] >> And if you look at the I I also like the
[63:39] video. I guess I won't pull it up
[63:40] because I don't have sound. But yeah,
[63:42] he's just on the shop floor. He's saying
[63:43] like, "Hey, here's what I do every day.
[63:45] It would be really cool to have an app
[63:46] that allows me to do it. Here's what I
[63:48] built." Nothing fancy. It was like 90
[63:51] seconds just going through the intro.
[63:52] That's all you need, folks.
[63:54] >> Yeah. Yep. AutoCAD. Yeah. How's that
[63:57] feel?
[63:59] >> Yeah. And I think also like there's like
[64:00] this theme going on around like
[64:03] supporting manufacturing here locally in
[64:05] the US. I think this taps into it. We
[64:07] saw it in the last buildathon with the
[64:09] top prize winner going to a mechanical
[64:11] engineer student. So I think yeah more
[64:14] the stuff like real world stuff um
[64:16] combining like the hardware stuff with
[64:18] the software stuff. Really really good
[64:20] trend.
[64:21] >> Yeah. And again, that's where we like
[64:23] almost every one of these has a little
[64:26] niche it's like pinging into,
[64:29] >> right? It is not the next WhatsApp. It
[64:33] is not the next uh you know Airbnb or
[64:37] the next, you know, uh productivity app
[64:41] or whatever, right? It is a um like
[64:45] industry specific niche thing. But also
[64:48] imagine you could then change the types
[64:49] of equipment. You could change the types
[64:51] of stuff you put into this and that's
[64:52] all a data thing. And so now this could
[64:54] become something that's not just for
[64:55] warehouse spaces. Maybe it's for laying
[64:57] out event venues or laying out
[64:59] conferences, right? Like we're doing
[65:00] this big event next week. And how cool
[65:02] would it be, Manny, to be able to walk
[65:04] through an environment like that of what
[65:06] the space was going to be, you know? So
[65:08] like there's so many other use cases
[65:09] that you could see for this type of
[65:12] thing that like are so close to what you
[65:14] have here. So yeah, I can just again see
[65:16] a lot of different parallel uh
[65:19] >> or verticals.
[65:20] >> That's such a good point, right? Because
[65:21] right now we're thinking about what our
[65:23] booth setup looks like and you did like
[65:25] that 2D schematic of like the camera's
[65:27] going to be pointing here. We're going
[65:29] to be sitting here. Here's where our
[65:30] guests are going to be. Like imagine
[65:31] that taking that 2D thing and making it
[65:33] 3D and then being able to swap out
[65:35] cameras like oh we actually want the
[65:37] camera to go here. So that's another
[65:39] idea for everybody. So like that kind of
[65:41] 3D simulation for video and audio people
[65:45] that would be a hit.
[65:47] >> Yeah. Yep. Uh okay. So the last one
[65:53] >> final honorable mention. Who's going to
[65:56] take it? Tell us in the chat what do you
[65:58] think? Poly market going on right now.
[66:00] Let's go.
[66:01] >> Okay. Let me get down to the button
[66:03] here. The secret magic issue the credits
[66:07] button.
[66:09] Don't hear it.
[66:11] >> Um, it should be live. And so this one
[66:13] again came to us through the crowd. Uh,
[66:16] this one came from you all telling us
[66:19] that this deserved uh some thought and
[66:22] consideration. And it's kind of a cool
[66:25] idea here to basically um let people
[66:28] send voice messages at a specific event
[66:32] uh at an end of life event at whatever
[66:34] special event you want uh to record some
[66:36] kind of historical context for you know
[66:39] prosperity. Um so kind of cool to like
[66:42] you know almost like a voicemail app for
[66:44] events. Um, but just simple to use, very
[66:48] cool. Got a lot of um, you know, a lot
[66:50] of hype from the community across a
[66:52] number of different videos and uh, in
[66:54] the Discord space. So, yeah. Um, taking
[66:57] home 10,000 uh, credits as well is
[67:02] >> very neat. And already in the app store,
[67:04] you see this
[67:04] >> Elias uh, I think is I'm not sure if
[67:07] that's how you say it, but Elias or
[67:08] Elias. Um, yeah. Dial audio guestbook.
[67:11] >> Awesome. Congrats. Yeah, beautiful
[67:14] design, better for UI, conveys mention
[67:17] me the message right away and it's
[67:19] already in the app store. So that's a
[67:22] plus.
[67:22] >> Correct. Yeah. So it's one of those
[67:24] things again uh very nicely done. Um
[67:27] just solid app. It's in production. Um
[67:30] usable right now. Go get it if you're
[67:32] interested. Um this could be yeah a
[67:34] wedding. Um any kind of special event,
[67:37] any kind of commemoration, whatever.
[67:39] Just have people like bookmark. And I
[67:41] could see this expanding, you know, you
[67:43] add images, you add little videos, you
[67:45] add little whatever, and it becomes like
[67:46] a whole little um you know, package. So,
[67:50] just just lots of um lots of places
[67:53] where I think this could be useful.
[67:54] >> Very stylish. I like it a lot. Very
[67:56] neat. All right, folks. Well, there you
[68:00] have it. Amazing. Congratulations.
[68:04] Thanks for making it so tough on us to
[68:06] decide the winners. Um and being great.
[68:09] I feel like everybody like y'all did a
[68:11] great job and even if you're not on this
[68:13] top 10 list here. I hope that you walked
[68:16] away with a great experience, some great
[68:18] connections and some learnings and yeah,
[68:21] like you got the Discord now. I think
[68:22] that's like I mean that's a price for
[68:24] everybody staying on that Discord and
[68:25] staying connected to everybody. So
[68:28] looking forward to what's coming up
[68:29] next.
[68:30] >> Yeah. and I'll see uh what we think
[68:32] internally we're going to ask, but maybe
[68:34] we can um highlight the like the folks
[68:38] who were judges favorites and who were
[68:40] kind of like second look like we did
[68:42] last time. We we put the top like kind
[68:43] of the top 100. Um because of the timing
[68:46] and how this came together, we just
[68:47] didn't have as much time to kind of
[68:49] orchestrate that. So like we would have
[68:50] loved to invite all the winners, but we
[68:52] just didn't have enough time to to
[68:53] coordinate that. Um so uh we will figure
[68:56] out what else we can do there. But yeah,
[68:58] maybe we can um release those top um
[69:01] it's not exactly a hundred, but maybe we
[69:04] can release the u judges favorites and
[69:06] the um the second look and the reviews
[69:08] and just kind of see um so so folks can
[69:10] understand a little bit more. It was
[69:12] such a difficult process honestly this
[69:14] um and maybe we could talk a little bit
[69:15] about like the tools we built if I'm
[69:18] sure people are interested to to think
[69:19] but um
[69:20] >> totally as you do that can in the chat
[69:22] can you tell us what was your favorite
[69:23] part of the buildathon? Would love to
[69:25] see that come to the chat. Um Remmer,
[69:27] please take away. Tell us about the
[69:28] tools.
[69:28] >> Yeah. No, I think that would be um
[69:30] interesting. I would like suggestions at
[69:32] this point. Like um I know a lot of you
[69:34] have shared feedback. Um all this stuff
[69:35] is going into our chat scrape app. So
[69:37] even if we don't um like
[69:39] >> uh get back to you immediately or we
[69:41] don't reply on the stream, uh again
[69:43] these comments all get indexed and they
[69:45] all get listened to. And that's part of
[69:48] this community brain that we're
[69:50] building, right? Um and so
[69:53] >> we've told you before we have a Discord
[69:54] bot listening. uh we've told you before
[69:56] that you know like we're looking for
[69:58] social signals uh YouTube getting
[70:01] involved in the community um different
[70:03] ways and so we really are expanding and
[70:07] leveraging the power of replet and the
[70:09] power of AI to help us kind of analyze
[70:12] and understand what's happening across
[70:14] these events right and that means you
[70:17] know like how you all interact with each
[70:19] other the the links you share and how
[70:21] you like uh engage with those and
[70:23] there's like a a secret sauce building
[70:25] in the background that we're not going
[70:26] to like fully reveal. Um, but just know
[70:28] that we are leaning into uh this this AI
[70:31] era and trying to figure out how how did
[70:33] this, you know, like how to build better
[70:34] systems around this because there's just
[70:36] no way for us to review uh, you know,
[70:38] like if there's a couple hundred
[70:39] submissions or even a couple thousand
[70:40] like the Agent 4 buildathon, it's, you
[70:42] know, we can go all night, we can have
[70:43] 10 people and we can like really scrub
[70:45] through those, but as we start hitting a
[70:47] certain scale, like we're just going to
[70:48] need the help of the crowd, right?
[70:49] Right. And so that's why we told you at
[70:50] the beginning of this buildathon that
[70:52] you were going to send us a lot of
[70:53] signals about how this was going to
[70:55] work. And again, we're not going to
[70:56] reveal like the secret sauce of of where
[70:59] and what is going on um because we're
[71:01] adding to it all the time. But just know
[71:03] that this is like um an ongoing process
[71:06] for us. Like we talk about building, we
[71:08] talk about Replet is able to handle
[71:09] enterprise scale, right? And so we're
[71:11] kind of showing and building the roots
[71:13] of that in public. It's the ultimate
[71:14] build and public I think experiment.
[71:16] like I I don't know of any other build-
[71:18] in public experiment at this scale. Um
[71:20] and you know hopefully we're just being
[71:22] very uh open and honest about some of
[71:24] that. You saw us do the retro on the
[71:26] buildathon site when we had a crash at
[71:27] the beginning just with the amount of
[71:29] concurrent requests and how we handled
[71:31] and what we learned from that. Um and
[71:32] maybe at some point we will talk a
[71:35] little bit more about these systems that
[71:36] we're building on the back and do some
[71:38] deeper dives on on on that stuff. Um but
[71:40] yeah, just know that like
[71:43] it's a
[71:45] we're kind of building this community
[71:47] intelligence system to help us
[71:48] understand how you all are um
[71:50] interacting with each other and with us
[71:51] and with the brand and how we can use
[71:53] that to again surface uh and reward and
[71:56] and um
[71:58] >> yeah again just give back to the effort
[72:00] you all are putting in here.
[72:01] >> It's going to be really interesting how
[72:04] we manage that because to do this at
[72:06] this scale to your point remar we need
[72:07] help. We need help from AI. We also need
[72:09] help from crowd intelligence. So you
[72:12] guys going in there putting your
[72:13] replicash putting your comments that is
[72:15] so helpful surfacing stuff on X. Thank
[72:18] you very much Tommy. But then like doing
[72:20] that in aggregate and in a blend where
[72:22] we're also like looking at it and do
[72:24] like a final pass on everything and like
[72:26] combining our judgment with all that. It
[72:28] is actually pretty pretty cool. Like I
[72:30] think we can do like a whole write up on
[72:32] that and we want to do that just to make
[72:34] sure that everything is fair and that
[72:36] the right getting selected but also if
[72:39] we want to continue to open this up to
[72:41] as many people as we can there's just no
[72:43] other way for us to do that and I don't
[72:47] know I just feel like these are going to
[72:49] get bigger and bigger for us. Like if
[72:50] you look at the buildathon, the mobile
[72:52] buildathon that we started off with and
[72:53] then we went to agent 4 buildathon and
[72:55] now this one I feel like we just
[72:57] continue to amp up u the number of
[73:00] people that are in the competitions and
[73:02] the the the features that we're building
[73:04] out into those competitions. So
[73:06] >> yeah. Yeah. And it's um you know like
[73:08] comments like this here. Let's go with
[73:09] useful apps and let's have a review of
[73:11] usefulness with agent along with human.
[73:13] It'll be much easier for judges then. Um
[73:15] again we are using uh some AI to analyze
[73:18] these things. Um but then you know
[73:20] humans are obviously doing all the final
[73:23] um curation and selection of of that
[73:25] whittleled down list. Um but it's yeah
[73:29] it's hard to like show usefulness. Same
[73:31] thing here. The negative part I feel the
[73:32] judge focused on the fun visual part but
[73:33] the app that target enterprise company
[73:35] is difficult to get attention because
[73:36] it's difficult to understand. Yes 100%.
[73:38] We and we've been clear about that kind
[73:40] of from the beginning and that this is
[73:41] the challenge of like building SAS and
[73:43] software in general. It's like, you
[73:46] know, when you build things that are a
[73:47] little more obscure, a little more
[73:49] complex, it's hard to kind of deliver
[73:50] that value. And so that's really what we
[73:52] were talking about before of like you
[73:53] kind of have to learn how to tell that
[73:55] story or bring that stuff to the to the
[73:57] surface because probably inside that
[73:59] enterprise app, there's like a thing
[74:00] that would stand out or that would demo
[74:02] well or that you could showcase or focus
[74:04] that would help us, you know, again,
[74:06] >> bring it into consideration. So um
[74:08] >> I mean two out of the 10 Dala and Print
[74:12] Floor 3D I would say that those are more
[74:14] enterprise business focused. So I just I
[74:17] think it's more of a selection thing. If
[74:19] you come into this and you want to build
[74:20] something that's businessoriented,
[74:22] you're maybe not the the greatest at
[74:23] telling the right story or doing the
[74:25] marketing stuff. You're like you're
[74:26] probably coming in thinking like, hey, I
[74:27] just got to build a great platform and
[74:29] an app that people just log into and
[74:30] people are going to buy it. That's not
[74:32] the case. You got to build out that
[74:33] landing page. The copy has got to land.
[74:36] You got to put together a video. you got
[74:37] to sell it and you got to work on the
[74:39] storytelling part. So I would flip that
[74:41] around and I would say like that's an
[74:42] opportunity for you to be able to work
[74:44] on that storytelling so that people can
[74:46] see the value of what you're providing.
[74:48] >> Yeah. And also enterprise people like to
[74:50] have fun too, you know.
[74:52] >> Yeah. Like big opportunity
[74:53] >> like Yeah. Like enterprise apps don't
[74:55] have to be boring and like you know like
[74:58] just
[74:59] >> high density and just cluttered with
[75:01] stuff, right? Like there's lots of
[75:02] different use cases again that you can
[75:03] niche down and um really make them
[75:06] visually appealing and capture attention
[75:08] because enterprises you have to capture
[75:10] their attention more than anything.
[75:11] Yeah. You know like for sure it's um
[75:13] about stability and there's like lots of
[75:15] other requirements but yeah you think
[75:17] selling to people is hard um like
[75:19] selling to enterprises is really hard
[75:21] you know.
[75:23] >> Let me bring Francisco back in here.
[75:28] >> What?
[75:28] >> Hey everyone. So great to see everybody.
[75:30] Can you hear me? Okay.
[75:30] >> He's back. Yeah, I can hear you.
[75:32] >> Awesome. Yeah, I was just in the chat.
[75:33] >> Do the sign language. The sign language
[75:35] like can you hear?
[75:35] >> Yeah, I always
[75:37] shout out to Nadia Nadia's app.
[75:40] >> Exactly. No. Awesome. Just want to thank
[75:42] everyone participating. Um again, the
[75:45] chat was just like majorly super
[75:46] positive and and again appreciate all
[75:48] just like the uplifting. It was really
[75:50] cool to see people just kind of
[75:51] recognize each other's projects and um
[75:53] again a lot of a lot of this came from
[75:55] just like the overall voting and um
[75:58] Rhymar and Manny and and the rest of the
[75:59] team did such an incredible job of just
[76:01] like going through all these different
[76:02] things and trying to uh build through
[76:04] it. A lot of folks had pointed out like
[76:05] I can only imagine I did a you know high
[76:07] school hackathon with 200 people. I
[76:09] can't even imagine at this scale. And
[76:10] yeah, it was one of those things like
[76:11] I'll be very honest with you. Um, you
[76:13] know, it came together over the course
[76:15] of about a week. And that's why in in
[76:17] previous uh buildathons, we had like
[76:18] multiple checkpoints. Uh, Rhymar had
[76:20] built out this robust system, but we try
[76:23] to make it as like low barrier as
[76:24] possible just to make it as accessible
[76:25] as possible. We had a lot of free users
[76:27] came for the very first time who were
[76:28] able to kind of discover the value of
[76:30] Replet um, and are continuing to build
[76:32] today. All right. And it's one of those
[76:33] cool things where they able just to kind
[76:35] of see like, hey, this is actually now
[76:37] possible. So much has changed uh since
[76:39] agent 3 even. So um I think uh you know
[76:42] we're going to take all this feedback
[76:43] into in into play and of course
[76:45] something we're going to be able to
[76:47] incorporate for our next builds. A
[76:48] couple of big questions I want to I
[76:50] wanted to kind of uh answer here. Um how
[76:53] do I join Discord? So t right now we
[76:55] actually uh had all the Discord go
[76:57] through the buildathon. So as long as
[76:59] you're registered to the buildathon
[77:00] we're able to get you in the Discord.
[77:01] And the main reason for that was
[77:03] actually because we wanted to scale it
[77:04] intentionally. So a lot of you I think I
[77:07] think Daria was part of the original
[77:08] ones. Obviously you know some of our OGs
[77:10] here were as well but we initially did
[77:12] an initial server that we just had for
[77:14] the mobile bulathon forever was a part
[77:15] of that and uh we were just testing like
[77:18] hey how's this going to work you know we
[77:19] didn't know what was going to happen and
[77:21] it worked really really well and then
[77:22] for agent 4 uh we had a much larger kind
[77:24] of cohort that we onboarded through the
[77:26] core and pro plans and we actually ended
[77:29] up keeping it um and now extended it to
[77:31] like anyone that wanted to join. I think
[77:33] one of the things we're going to be
[77:34] doing is there's just so much appetite
[77:35] for it. So, we're going to be opening up
[77:37] Discord here pretty soon uh to basically
[77:39] all users. Um a huge shout out to Iris
[77:42] and um KG who have been incredible
[77:44] moderators. Rhymar who's living in there
[77:46] basically at this point like it wouldn't
[77:47] be possible without him. And it was his
[77:49] idea. It was one of those things that
[77:50] like I was a little nervous. I was like
[77:52] I don't know. I kind of want to stick on
[77:53] Slack because that's just what I know.
[77:54] But Rhymar's like no.
[77:55] >> I'm regretting all of it. By the way,
[77:58] >> what you asked for.
[77:59] >> I now have a new bed I get to lay in.
[78:01] Just Yeah. So, a huge shout out to Rhy
[78:04] Moore for even just making that
[78:05] possible. It truly was like something
[78:07] that was able to come out from him. Um,
[78:09] but yeah, so much more programming
[78:11] coming out soon. And
[78:16] my apologies on me. I was wondering my
[78:18] notes here. That was totally on me.
[78:19] >> Signing up already. Like, yeah. Like,
[78:22] okay.
[78:23] >> Uh, but yeah. And then, uh, along with
[78:25] that is when is the next buildathon? Um,
[78:27] we're going to have more coming up soon.
[78:29] Um, right now we're kind of going
[78:31] through our different releases and
[78:33] different things kind of coming up. Um,
[78:34] we don't have one planned just quite
[78:36] yet, but trust me, you will be all the
[78:38] first to know as soon as it does um,
[78:40] arrive. And then the last question that
[78:42] I'm seeing a lot of is when is the next
[78:43] 24 hours of of credits coming out? Um,
[78:47] I'd uh I love Yeah, I'd love to see that
[78:51] coming up soon.
[78:51] >> Mark your calendar right now.
[78:53] >> Yeah, exactly. Um, so yeah, um, a lot a
[78:58] lot more to come. uh very very soon. So
[79:00] yeah, but thank you all so much for
[79:01] being part of the challenge. It was just
[79:03] absolutely incredible.
[79:04] >> I'm curious for the chat. What did you
[79:05] think about the 24hour time frame? Like
[79:09] was that like
[79:10] >> they want more? They're like it needs to
[79:11] be 72 next time.
[79:13] >> Yeah. Like I don't know. Like I I think
[79:16] like I don't know. That's I saw a lot of
[79:18] comments people love the 24-hour framing
[79:20] especially over the weekend. So you just
[79:21] like boom you just hack on it and then
[79:23] you like you have like it was on
[79:24] Saturday so you have Sunday to rest so
[79:26] you're ready to go on Monday. Um, so
[79:29] yeah, I'd be like curious like because
[79:30] we also did the three-week one, which is
[79:32] nice, too, because you saw progress over
[79:33] those three weeks. But yeah, I just be
[79:36] curious like what did you guys think of
[79:37] the 24-hour
[79:39] >> deadline? Just to give you a little bit
[79:40] of like background again for those like
[79:42] that stuck around here to the end. Um,
[79:44] it really was 24 hours for us. Like it
[79:47] was absolutely incredible. Um, like
[79:50] Rhymar like thank you so much. He
[79:52] actually canceled one of his days off
[79:53] while he was in Brazil and just
[79:55] literally put the buildath on site
[79:56] together. This again, I've said this a
[79:58] million times, would not have been
[79:59] possible without Rhymar. It was
[80:01] absolutely in like just insane how it
[80:03] came together. And then, you know, he's
[80:04] still like me and Manny Manny comes up
[80:06] with the idea of like, let's do a 4:30
[80:08] a.m. live stream. I was like, ah, Manny,
[80:10] but yes, we should. And
[80:11] >> baby, that happened
[80:13] >> and it was awesome. And then
[80:15] >> I didn't know who was going to show up.
[80:16] I didn't know who was going to show up.
[80:17] I was like, we're gonna have like 10
[80:18] people on there, like 500 people there.
[80:20] And like Rhymar was on there. He was
[80:21] like, I can't miss this.
[80:23] >> Yeah.
[80:23] >> No video, just audio. Like, dude, I got
[80:25] to be a part of this. So, I think that
[80:27] was really cool. The countdown thing.
[80:29] >> Yeah. And it was it was just so cool,
[80:31] right? So, like a lot of people were
[80:32] like, I haven't worked like this since
[80:33] college, right? Like kind of like the
[80:34] old college, you know, paper due at the
[80:36] end of the night kind of thing.
[80:37] >> Sure. That wasn't me. That was
[80:41] >> It was Yeah, I think the electric the uh
[80:44] the energy was electric like the whole
[80:46] time, you know, even leading up to it.
[80:48] People talking about like um
[80:49] >> Yeah. Look at all these like people had
[80:51] prompts and tasks ready to like fire
[80:53] bullets, you know? Like I saw
[80:55] screenshots of people that were just
[80:57] like, "Look at what we're going to do."
[80:58] And I'm like, "Oh my god." And I have to
[81:00] imagine like just being the leadership
[81:03] team watching the like the meter just go
[81:05] and and then like the servers are just
[81:07] like, you know, like
[81:11] >> Well, I mean, for those of you that
[81:12] joined us early on in the buildathon,
[81:13] right, like the build page went down and
[81:16] I'm like, "Ray, the build on page." I
[81:17] was like, "No, no, no. I maxed it out
[81:19] like I can't do anything.
[81:20] >> There's nothing else. It's like this is
[81:22] server stuff. Like this is not like a
[81:23] issue.
[81:24] >> She can take no mole, captain.
[81:26] >> Yeah,
[81:27] >> I've given her all she's got.
[81:28] >> It's literally what happened. We had
[81:30] like looping engineers and Rhyar was
[81:32] like, "Did you do this?" No, I did it
[81:33] all. I did everything I possibly could.
[81:34] And you know, we had to just kind of
[81:36] >> piece it together, get everything up and
[81:38] going. But again, it was just such a fun
[81:39] stress test, right? I mean, what better
[81:40] way to do this? And the internal team as
[81:42] well, like we just we didn't see it
[81:44] coming. And one of the things the team
[81:45] said is like people were clearly waiting
[81:48] for the moment to the start. Like people
[81:50] were like, you know, getting up early,
[81:51] staying up late just to kind of take the
[81:53] most out of it. And um which was
[81:54] awesome. That was the intention. And um
[81:56] we just appreciate sticking around. The
[81:58] last thing I'll say is
[81:59] >> shout out to Mcklli. Mcklli was up all
[82:01] night as well, our president, you know,
[82:03] who kind of runs our engineering and and
[82:04] a lot of other things. And you know, at
[82:06] one point, uh you know, when when some
[82:08] of the things were getting a little bit
[82:10] little bit choppy, right?
[82:11] some of the free tiers were getting, you
[82:13] know, slammed on the server side and and
[82:15] Manny's was like, "Let's do another live
[82:16] stream." I was like, "Right now?" One of
[82:18] the toughest times and Mckll jumped in.
[82:21] He's like, "Yeah, I want to be a part of
[82:22] it." He was able to basically unblock a
[82:24] lot of you and um it was just awesome.
[82:26] It was it was an incredible experience.
[82:28] It truly was 24 hours. Again, a big
[82:31] shout out to Tommy. Like, I went back
[82:33] and I was like, Tommy was on the live
[82:35] stream. And then, like, as we like, you
[82:36] know, closed out the loop at 5:00 a.m.
[82:38] the next day, I'm like, "There he is."
[82:40] is and I remember going back just to
[82:41] double check because everyone in the
[82:42] office is asking me about him like did
[82:43] you really stay up and again all of you
[82:45] in the community I mean Dario, Angelina
[82:48] Cloud Boy um just people are coming to
[82:50] mind KG again a million times over for
[82:53] staying up with us you know uh
[82:54] moderating along the way it was an
[82:56] incredible experience um yeah just
[82:58] awesome all the way wild but awesome
[83:00] >> I also think when Michael came on to the
[83:03] live stream he dropped this little bit
[83:05] of news that you know the idea for this
[83:08] one day agent free for 24 hours.
[83:10] Ambilithon can't like it was like
[83:12] hatched like seven days prior.
[83:15] >> Seven Seven days, right? Like let me let
[83:17] me be very real. I was like
[83:20] >> and not like just us, not just like you
[83:22] know core users. No international
[83:25] everybody gets it free and we're like oh
[83:28] my goodness man. I think I don't know. I
[83:30] I love that about Michaela and I love
[83:32] that about Replet. Like let's go big.
[83:34] Let's like cut the time. Like we gave
[83:36] all of you 24 hours. We I think follow
[83:38] the same philosophy like give yourself a
[83:39] shorter period of time to get big things
[83:42] done and I think that's a perfect
[83:44] encapsulation of it like in seven days
[83:45] we're going to have like the most
[83:47] massive spike on replet servers ever and
[83:50] we're also going to have a buildathon
[83:51] and it's going to be like worldwide
[83:52] international and for everybody epic.
[83:55] >> Yeah. No, it was great. And and we say
[83:56] seven days but really like I it was one
[83:59] of those days where I was like you know
[84:00] what it's actually going to be a chill
[84:01] week. I was like Ryan take some time
[84:02] off. like this is going to be chill like
[84:04] it'll be and he like you're like
[84:06] Rhymartar go take a vacation go take a
[84:08] vacation do it do it go take a vacation
[84:10] do it now do it next week I'm gonna
[84:11] schedule it for you and then Rhymer
[84:12] takes a vacation it's like oh by the way
[84:17] >> how's your Wi-Fi
[84:18] >> listen I took a Starlink with me to
[84:20] Brazil because I was like there's no
[84:22] chance that something's not going to
[84:25] like come up and need to like you know
[84:27] happen um I have a video of me like at
[84:31] our Airbnb like literally on my on
[84:33] mobile uh just watching the agent do its
[84:36] thing with like this beautiful uh vista
[84:39] behind um
[84:40] >> yeah so but you know what it's it's one
[84:42] of those things where it's like um I
[84:44] joke about this all the time because
[84:45] there's uh there's a blurring boundary
[84:47] here where it's like it's just so
[84:49] exciting to be in this stuff. I imagine
[84:51] how many of you felt during the
[84:52] buildathon where imagine you have 24
[84:53] hours of you know like you can just
[84:55] build with replet. Imagine being, you
[84:57] know, like us where we can just like
[84:59] that's like we always get to just build
[85:00] with Replet. And so like there's this
[85:03] always ideas going through and thinking
[85:05] through and like how can we again better
[85:06] serve the community and then like you
[85:08] guys don't sleep, right? The discord's
[85:09] always on. And so it's like there's
[85:11] this, you know, like I don't know. It's
[85:13] just it's electric for me too. It's
[85:14] electric for all of us, right? So like
[85:15] this energy is not one of those things
[85:17] where it's like um like I don't know how
[85:18] to describe this like as a community
[85:20] builder.
[85:21] >> Yeah.
[85:21] >> The scale of this trying to organize
[85:23] these things in this quick amount of
[85:24] time. Like I've been doing community
[85:25] stuff and and Francisco I know and and
[85:27] man like for for a long time I've just
[85:30] never seen anything like this right like
[85:32] it's just one of those things where it's
[85:33] the the moment of AI the creative uh
[85:36] opportunity like the tools coming up and
[85:38] like it's just all of these things
[85:40] coming together like I don't know I
[85:42] don't know how to describe it I don't
[85:43] know how to talk about it but like there
[85:44] is no vacation right like there's
[85:46] different places where we can work um
[85:48] and then like try to find the relaxation
[85:50] between and I think uh yeah at some
[85:53] point there will be a balance wants to
[85:54] find. But I think we're in a in a a
[85:56] moment right now where the next couple
[85:57] years for you all too out there like
[86:00] this is the moment to dig in and we talk
[86:01] about this all the time like learning
[86:02] these skills and just getting involved
[86:03] in stuff. It's like let's do it, you
[86:05] know? So yeah, it's just and I think
[86:07] that spirit is is is permeates through
[86:09] the company like everyone just
[86:10] understands and loves doing this stuff
[86:12] and it's just it's it's mind-blowing to
[86:15] watch to be honest. Uh it's cool to be a
[86:17] part of it.
[86:18] >> Yeah. No, absolutely. And these are some
[86:19] of the funnest times of our life, right?
[86:20] And and and like not just in the team
[86:22] here, we're streaming. But even for you,
[86:24] I mean a lot of you like I'm seeing
[86:26] this, you know, I was in transit, person
[86:27] next to me is looking at my phone. I was
[86:28] looking at my fiance from 1 to 3 in the
[86:30] morning. Like these are fun things,
[86:32] right? And like you're building really
[86:33] cool projects. You're bringing them to
[86:35] life. We have such a wide variety of
[86:36] winners. And you know, they come from
[86:38] all walks of life. And that was like
[86:40] from the community team, you know,
[86:41] selfishly like we're always biased. We
[86:43] just want to see people come together,
[86:44] build new things. And I know
[86:46] specifically this team is like just know
[86:48] how much is possible today, right?
[86:50] Rhymar and Manny both come from
[86:51] nontechnical backgrounds and they just
[86:54] what what they're capable of doing. They
[86:56] know it better than anyone else and they
[86:57] just want to make sure all of you know
[86:59] as well and this was such a cool
[87:00] opportunity to kind of showcase that
[87:02] especially to newer users who aren't on
[87:03] yet.
[87:04] >> Yeah. And it's just one of those things
[87:05] where it's like you know when things
[87:06] like this happen it's just all hands on
[87:09] deck and you know it's just uh you you
[87:12] mentioned again like before like uh I
[87:14] haven't worked this hard since college.
[87:15] I think you you were joking about, you
[87:16] know, but there is like that team
[87:18] camaraderie where like everyone's kind
[87:20] of just doing all these different things
[87:22] and then you see this come together and
[87:24] you're just like, how did that happen?
[87:25] Right? like there's this emergent
[87:26] property where everyone's just kind of
[87:28] pulling and pushing in like their own
[87:30] little way and then all of a sudden
[87:31] somehow that turns into this like and
[87:34] agent 4 launches or you know like the
[87:36] mobile or whatever or like the the
[87:37] tenure like these things just and so
[87:39] it's not like this you know we're we're
[87:41] not always like interrupting vacations
[87:43] for stuff like this but when these
[87:44] things happen it's hard to not just like
[87:46] take the excitement of you all and the
[87:48] opportunity for the moment and just be
[87:49] like okay let's do this thing you know
[87:50] and so like um I don't and that's I I
[87:53] really think that's what makes this
[87:54] company special. I talk about this all
[87:56] the time. Regardless of whatever happens
[87:57] with like the AI stuff, Replet is
[87:59] rewriting the rules for how work gets
[88:01] done. And because we're all dog fooding
[88:03] this tool and because we all have access
[88:04] to this tool, the things that we think
[88:06] about, the creative solutions that we're
[88:08] coming up with, the way that we're
[88:09] working internally, uh, at some point
[88:11] we'll become a case study for like how
[88:14] companies leverage AI to scale. And I
[88:17] think that's a really important story
[88:18] that's kind of happening here. And to
[88:20] just again to just be a part of that and
[88:21] share that with you all. I think you all
[88:23] start to see a little bit of that in
[88:24] your own worlds. That's why we really
[88:26] get excited when you start generating
[88:27] revenue from your projects and really
[88:29] like hit that next threshold because
[88:30] it's like yes, you get this, you
[88:32] understand it. Um, and there's just so
[88:34] much opportunity popping up around the
[88:36] edges that again it's contagious. Uh,
[88:38] it's a little addictive. It's just so
[88:39] cool to see it all happening. So anyway,
[88:41] um,
[88:42] >> and I love how like that team aspect
[88:44] you're talking about, right, Marval, all
[88:46] of us coming together that is extending
[88:48] out to the community as well. We see
[88:50] people stepping up. Kaiser like doing
[88:52] reviews. Tommy doing a 24-hour stream.
[88:55] Everybody posting stuff on X, showcasing
[88:58] other people's work. I love that people
[89:00] were saying like, "Oh, Manny, I came
[89:01] across this buildathon entry. It's
[89:03] really good. Here's why I like it. Go
[89:04] check it out." Thank you so much. That's
[89:06] great. Going on and scoring projects,
[89:08] adding your replicas, your comments, and
[89:10] stuff like that. So that was one of my
[89:12] favorite things to see is just that that
[89:13] that energy and that teamwork and that
[89:15] camaraderie and that sense of belonging
[89:17] that that idea that we're part of
[89:18] something big right now and that
[89:20] extending out to the community as well
[89:22] and all you all of you getting to be a
[89:24] part of that as well. It's not an idea
[89:25] that we're part of something big. Like
[89:26] we are part of something that is like
[89:28] permeating right now in a way. Like we
[89:31] just did I just did a little meetup
[89:32] yesterday in our local community and to
[89:34] see the variety of people. There was
[89:36] like a 16-year-old in the crowd and then
[89:37] there was like a 75-year-old in the
[89:38] crowd and one's like like in a broad
[89:42] spectrum and like everyone's just
[89:43] building and they're just in like how do
[89:45] I use this, you know? And so like in a
[89:48] small town like this to see that stuff
[89:49] kind of popping off and to see the
[89:50] excitement even there like you just know
[89:52] like oh this is everywhere right and so
[89:54] like yeah this is um I think we all just
[89:56] feel it and and we know it it um
[89:59] >> it can be a little overwhelming at times
[90:00] I think the pace of just like the AI
[90:03] like every day there's like this big
[90:05] release you're like oh my god what we
[90:06] can do that now so it's just I don't
[90:08] know it's unreal. Well, I think what
[90:10] we're seeing is is we're at the early
[90:11] beginnings of a major technological
[90:14] shift and these have happened in history
[90:16] in the past like so think about like the
[90:18] early people to electricity or the
[90:20] internet or to social media. I think
[90:23] what's different this time around is
[90:24] that it's going to be much bigger. It's
[90:26] going to be much faster and it's going
[90:29] to be much more accessible. So like you
[90:31] think about electricity like maybe that
[90:32] trickled out to a few wealthy people in
[90:35] the city and then eventually to
[90:36] everybody, right? But like vibe coding,
[90:38] it's like hitting everywhere all at
[90:40] once. Um, so yeah, I think that's part
[90:43] of what the energy is happening here.
[90:45] Like you have this massive trend that
[90:46] we're really at the early beginnings of
[90:48] and then you also have replica coming in
[90:49] as well, building out this community as
[90:51] well. So like these two things coming
[90:52] together that are making this really
[90:54] special. I think all of you should be
[90:56] documenting this because I think we're
[90:57] going to look back and we're like, oh,
[90:58] remember at the early beginnings of vibe
[91:00] coding, how that completely changed
[91:02] everything. like what you're doing right
[91:04] now I think is going to be like of some
[91:06] significance historically speaking it's
[91:08] going to be a big deal.
[91:09] >> Yeah.
[91:10] >> Yeah. Absolutely. And at the end of the
[91:11] day I just want everyone to know we do
[91:13] this for you right like everyone here is
[91:15] building for you. Um you know and and
[91:17] the buildathons are an opportunity to
[91:19] basically connect a little bit better
[91:20] with you. Mckelly said it himself right
[91:22] like he was here you know getting
[91:23] everyone's feedback. So truly thank you
[91:25] so much for for joining our discord
[91:27] joining the buildathons you know being
[91:28] part of these live streams with us. A
[91:30] huge shout out to everyone that shows up
[91:32] every single week. We see you. Um, and
[91:34] again, and for those folks that are
[91:35] trying to get a little bit closer, you
[91:36] know, join our different events. Uh,
[91:38] join our live stream. Passy, I see your
[91:40] a comment about the when does the
[91:42] ambassador program go live? It actually
[91:43] is already live. We're doing invitations
[91:45] only at the moment right now, but we're
[91:47] doing a huge onboarding batch that I'm
[91:48] going through. We have over like 600
[91:50] applications at the moment. I'm going
[91:51] through and then getting on like the
[91:53] first big batch we'll be onboarding on
[91:54] at the end of May. So yeah, there's so
[91:56] many opportunities to to to get closer
[91:58] to the team. And of course, like Rhymore
[92:00] and many always say like don't wait for
[92:01] us. Like kick off your events. We're
[92:03] always happy to see those. We saw events
[92:04] happen in Singapore, Dallas, uh you
[92:07] know, others from in Lima, Peru that
[92:09] weren't even hosted by Jose Carlos. Like
[92:11] we're here to support, here to build
[92:12] with you. And um yeah, we're super
[92:14] excited. Next week again, we have a lot
[92:17] of interesting content coming in. Uh
[92:19] Manny and Rhyar will really kind of be
[92:20] leading the way there over at Saster. Um
[92:22] if you're in town, please let us know.
[92:24] Um, we'll be happy to kind of jam with
[92:26] you there and yeah, there's a lot to
[92:27] come. It's super exciting. Always.
[92:30] >> A couple more thoughts. Number one is
[92:32] take the initiative. Go out and tell
[92:34] people about Vibe Code and go tell
[92:35] people about Replet. You don't have to
[92:37] do a lot. I I really think you could
[92:39] just go into like any like business
[92:41] meetup or organization or any type of
[92:43] event, I guess, like school, whatever,
[92:44] and just say, "Hey, I'm going to
[92:45] introduce you to the concept of vibe
[92:47] coding. Spend five minutes talking about
[92:49] what it is. Just turn on Replet for free
[92:51] for everybody else." and then just let
[92:53] them play around with it. People's heads
[92:55] are going to explode and it doesn't take
[92:58] a lot. You just have to introduce them
[92:59] to it and they're going to thank you for
[93:01] it. They're going to love you for it.
[93:03] Number two, don't forget to use your
[93:05] referral link. Okay? A lot of you are
[93:08] sharing Replet out there and just saying
[93:10] go having to go to replet.com. Take the
[93:12] opportunity to get 10 bucks every time
[93:15] somebody renews on your suggestion. So,
[93:18] you go over to settings, I think, and
[93:20] you go to like referral link. It's
[93:22] there. Use that and take advantage of
[93:25] it.
[93:30] Um, all right. Cool. Very neat. Yeah.
[93:32] So, looking forward um to that. And
[93:34] again, yeah, SAS are coming up next
[93:36] week. That's going to be so much fun.
[93:38] Tune in, see us squirm a little bit, see
[93:40] us figure it out and see how it um it
[93:42] all works out. Um, okay. Anything else,
[93:45] team?
[93:47] >> Ah, there's so much. Time to rest up,
[93:50] dude. Yeah,
[93:51] >> that's enough for today, I think.
[93:53] >> Sounds great.
[93:54] >> Very neat. Well, again, thank all of you
[93:57] so much for making this so much fun and
[93:59] making it so great and making it so
[94:01] tough to decide on winners. Looking
[94:04] where we're going to rest up and we're
[94:05] going to get geared up for the next one.
[94:06] Thank you so much.
[94:08] >> See you on Tuesday.
[94:10] >> See you on Tuesday live from Saster. See
[94:14] you there, y'all.
[94:14] >> Congrats again to all the winners. Yeah.
[94:16] And uh keep building everyone. Yeah.
[94:18] I'll keep I'll keep going.
[94:20] >> Bye everyone.
