Hey, it's Matt from the podcastsetup.com. I wanted to show youTransistor's transcription features, powered by AI, but with some really nicefine touches that I think make it areal treat to use. I would enable itif you have a Transistor account tostart using transcripts. A fantasticadvantage of transcripts, of course, isthat it’s automated; it’sdone for you right here in Transistor.
So you don’t have to take it from thatthird party. Even though a lot of placeslike Riverside and Descript have it, oftenif you're working with a team ofpeople and maybe you’re producing itwith a small team, havingTransistor do the transcriptionsfor you, without having to copy, paste, andupload files, is a nice little timesaver.
But I’ll show you in a minute their userinterface and how well it works. Theirautomated feature is Chef’s Kiss.By the way, if you likespace and storytelling, you might likeour podcast. Go tocrewcollectivepodcast.comso you can listen to the episodes thatI’m actually showing you thetranscriptions of today.
I launched this podcast, and I was like,"Oh, you know, we’re not usingDscript to edit this particular show, orRiverside, and where are we going to getthese transcripts from?" Transistor tothe rescue. If I go into an episode, Ijust want to show you down below. Youcan upload your own file for yourtranscript, but as you see here, thisepisode was auto-transcribed with AI.
That’s because of Transistor's featureset. And when you click manage yourtranscription, they just do a really, really good job. They did a greatjob identifying the speaker based on the audio file. And you’ll see here it says there are oneunidentified speaker. Click the speakername to edit, and it just takes me rightto it if I click it, which is great. Andthis right here, this speaker 7 isactually me. It’s my ad read. And Stuartnever says my name; I never say my namein this ad read. So I’m just going toclick into it and type "Matt." And you’llsee it automatically adjust the other, the speaker 7 that was there orwhatever it said before. And it’s justnice and easy. And I can see all of thestuff, all the transcript right here.
In this dialogue box. Of course, this isjust a short 13-minute episode. Um, Ican click in to edit a word. I can splitthe paragraphs. I can edit this ordelete this entire section if I want. They did a really great job at managingthe transcript after the fact. So, AI isnot going to get it 100% right. So, ifyou have to go in and change a number, change somebody's last name orsomebody's name or just a misidentifiedword, you can go in here and do that.
And it's just so easy. So, I'm justgoing to hit save changes. That's goingto save the name that I put in, which ismyself, down at the bottom. And you canplay the episode and it'll go rightthrough the transcript right after. So,again, another advantage to usingTransistor is you can add teams to apodcast. So, somebody can come in, I canadd them as a member, and if I havesomebody on the team that's just fortranscripts, they could log intoTransistor and edit that transcript. Then, you know, I'm off to the racesdoing the rest of the stuff that I do.So, nice touch, great interface, and ifyou want to use Transistortranscripts by AI, it's Transistor.
Transcripts. It's really hard for me tosay; you do have to add it as a monthlyadd-on to your account: $5 a month extrafor up to 5 hours monthly, $20 a monthextra for 20 hours, and $40 for 40 hours.Uh, so about a dollar an hour for thatnice little feature. Check it out atTransistor. You can click the link belowto access and sign up for Transistorif you've never done it before. It's anaffiliate link. It helps the channel. Youdon't have to use it if you don't wantto, but I'd love for you to check outTransistor at transistor.fm. Thanks forwatching the podcast setup.
