WordCamp US 2026 has unveiled the [event’s long-awaited schedule](https://us.wordcamp.org/2026/schedule/) and four rounds of speakers over the past four days, as organizers step up promotion ahead of next month’s annual conference. The four-day schedule includes Contributor Day on Sunday, Showcase Day on Monday, and two conference days on Tuesday and Wednesday, with sessions spread across four tracks: AI, Honing Your Skills, Technical WordPress, and the new beginner-focused WP101. AI was one of three tracks at [WCUS 2025 in Portland](https://www.therepository.email/wordcamp-us-2025-wraps-in-portland-ai-demos-student-programs-and-whats-next-for-wordpress), but the Phoenix program expands it considerably. At least 18 sessions across the schedule are AI-focused or AI-adjacent, making it the largest AI showing at a flagship WordCamp to date. Sessions cover agentic development, AI-powered plugin pipelines, guardrails for AI-assisted coding, machine translation, and whether WordPress is ready for an agentic web. Several tackle the legal side of AI adoption, including the EU AI Act, client pushback, and privacy laws. Some content could not be imported from the original document. Marsland will be closing out the AI track on the final day with a session on “vibe coding” WordPress for non-technical users. ![](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/2073064931293790208/BzGP8yb_.jpg) [Jamie Marsland - Head of WordPress YouTube ❤️](https://twitter.com/pootlepress) [@pootlepress](https://twitter.com/pootlepress) Strictly unofficial WordCamp US guerrilla marketing campaign 👇 As an Englishman voluntarily attending a conference in Arizona in August, I felt uniquely qualified to create this poster. The first round was framed around AI’s “growing role in WordPress work,” while the fourth highlighted sessions on AI’s impact on WordPress development, translation, editorial workflows, and client support. The focus on AI has been building across this year’s flagship WordCamps. WordCamp Asia in Mumbai featured an opening keynote from Automattic’s former Head of AI, James LePage, while WordCamp Europe in Kraków also featured several AI-focused sessions and workshops. A new WP101 beginner track will run across all four days, transitioning to “WordPress 202” on Wednesday. It’s not clear yet who will be running beginner sessions or what they will involve. In a [previous interview](https://www.therepository.email/inside-wordcamp-us-2026-lead-organizers-on-hitting-reset-adding-a-new-beginner-track-and-beating-the-phoenix-heat) with *The Repository*, co-leads Megan Marcel and Raquel Manriquez said the track was designed to attract newcomers to the WordPress community, particularly students from nearby Arizona State University. Marcel said the aim was for attendees to “walk in with nothing and leave with a portfolio site in a day.” WordPress co-founder Matt Mullenweg has historically given the closing keynote at flagship WordCamps, and the Wednesday afternoon slot — the longest on the schedule at a full hour with closing remarks immediately after — coincides with the [scheduled release date](https://www.therepository.email/wordpress-7-1-planning-kicks-off-with-august-19-release-date-during-wordcamp-us) for WordPress 7.1. Marcel said the team was “working on a few ideas with the WordPress 7.1 release leads for a launch moment during the event.” Mullenweg was scheduled to give the closing keynotes at both WordCamp Asia and WordCamp Europe this year but didn’t make it to either, joining Mumbai remotely due to illness and missing Kraków to stay close to loved ones. More sessions are yet to be announced, including four other keynotes. WordPress 7.0 had been planned for release during WordCamp Asia 2026 but was delayed, and organizers pivoted to a panel discussion exploring the release instead. WordPress 7.1 remains on track for August 19, and a similar session focused on what’s coming in the release could be in the cards for WCUS. WCUS has also announced a [“Made on WordPress” marketplace](https://us.wordcamp.org/2026/introducing-the-made-on-wordpress-marketplace-at-wcus/), a curated section of the sponsor hall on August 18–19 for small businesses and merchants who run their operations on WordPress. According to organizers, the idea is to capture the energy of a farmers market, “meeting the actual people behind the actual things,” and give attendees a reason to spend more time in the sponsor hall. Vendors are being sourced through sponsor nominations and direct outreach to local Phoenix businesses. Ticket sales are still lagging at 575, up from 440 when *The Repository* [last reported](https://www.therepository.email/wordcamp-us-2026-plays-catch-up-for-second-year-running-as-ticket-sales-lag-and-community-waits-for-schedule) on July 15. That’s 135 tickets in a week. Organizers had said they expected a bump once the schedule went live, similar to 2025 when more than 40% of tickets were sold in the final month. WordCamp US 2026 is scheduled for August 16–19 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ. Tickets are available from the [WCUS website](https://us.wordcamp.org/2026/tickets/). *Disclosure: Automattic-owned Pressable is a sponsor of The Repository.*, WordCamp US 2026 Publishes Schedule With, therepository.email, 01ky2njbxr9tdz4t1bmfsnhqtm.
