WordPress Blueprints Are Magical ![rw-book-cover](https://img.youtube.com/vi/skc7ay9C0G4/maxresdefault.jpg) A big thank you to Omnisend for sponsoring today's video. Omnisend is a great email and SMS marketing platform for e-commerce brands. To see why it's trusted by 125,000 businesses, visit omnisend.com today. I've built a free app that lets you spin up WordPress websites in a matter of seconds. It's fantastic for beginners, developers, agencies, freelancers, content creators, and teachers, and many more. And today I'm going to show you exactly how it works. I'm going to start by giving my site a title. I'm going to call this new site portfolio. Then underneath I'm going to click add page. I'm going to call it home. And I'm actually going to put some block markup in there. This supports HTML and also block markup. And then I'm just going to go off and create a bunch of other pages. I'm not going to put any content into these. These are just so I can set the navigation. And you can see them all listed over on the right there. Then I'm going to set the homepage on my website uh by clicking set homepage and choosing that page called home that I've already created. Then I'm going to set my post page. I've created a page called blog which I'm going to set. Then I'm going to set my navigation menu. And we can do this out of the existing pages that I've already built. So I'm just clicking select a page and adding the pages I want and the order I want those to appear in top to bottom equals left to right here. Then once I've set the menu, I'm going to click install plug-in. And you can either download a URL or choose one on WordPress.org. I'm going to choose WordPress.org and install the view transitions plugin, which I love. It gives you that elegant transitions between pages. Then I'm going to install a theme. I've actually created a custom one, but you could download one from WordPress.org. And then finally, I'm going to set the landing page for my visitor. Once I'm happy, I click launch in the top right. And that's going to download WordPress to your browser, download plugins, download all the themes, set the homepage, install content, set the navigation, and within a few seconds, voila, I have a fully formed, beautiful looking website in an instant. It's incredible. If you want to make changes, you can edit everything and go back to the blueprint designer. But I'm going to save mine so I can reuse it. I'm going to click the save button in the top right. Give it a name. Give it a description. You can upload a screenshot if you want to. And you can also choose whether you want to share them to the community or just yourselves. And that blueprint is now saved in the gallery. So you can go back at any time and relaunch it. And here's the gallery. You can see it's got two tabs at the top. My blueprints and also community blueprints. If you click on community, you can see them all here. If you click on it, you can reedit it. And you can see all the blueprint steps over on the right hand side. If you click on the little rocket icon, you can actually launch it directly from the gallery here. and it will just relaunch that new blueprint. A WordPress playground blueprint is a simple configuration file that defines how a WordPress site should be set up inside WordPress playground. It can specify things like the WordPress version, themes, plugins, demo content, and initial settings, allowing anyone to spin up an identical WordPress environment instantly in the browser without hosting or installation. And my app essentially gives you a really simple way that you can create these quite complex JSON files in the background. It just adds a nice graphical user interface to output these complex files for you very very simply. So I think this could be really really useful for a whole bunch of different folks. Agencies or freelancers and developers can spin up Polish clients demos in seconds. Educators can give every student a ready to go training site with just one link. Content creators can write tutorials that drop rooters directly into a working site. Freelancers can create repeatable starter packs for common site types. and entrepreneurs could even sell fully designed blueprints as instant websites. One of the great things about blueprints is that they are fully transferable, which means you can export them and use them in different applications. In Poodle Playground, there's a simple export button. You can see I'm dragging it to my desktop. Then I'm going across to WordPress Studio. And with WordPress Studio now, you can start a site just using a blueprint. Thank you so much for watching and have a really happy Christmas. I hope you found that video useful.
