Rather than generating generic layouts, it maintains design consistency by using components already established in the project. **AI to Design by Div Riots** breaks Figma's AI limitations by integrating multiple language models (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Grok). This allows designers to choose the optimal AI model for specific tasks, recognizing that different models excel at different creative challenges. **Color Palette Generator** goes beyond basic palette creation with its "smart apply" feature, which automatically maps generated color schemes onto existing UI elements. This enables rapid iteration through different visual treatments. **Adoram Plugin** addresses the persistent problem of vague design feedback by allowing stakeholders to leave contextual comments directly on specific design elements. Comments become trackable tasks with assignments, statuses, and deadlines. **Luca Icons** provides a comprehensive icon library with customizable stroke widths and colors, eliminating the need to hunt for icons across multiple sources. The presenter emphasizes that these tools primarily solve "ideation paralysis" - the difficulty of starting design work from a blank canvas rather than replacing human creativity entirely. ## ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Notes #### โฑ๏ธ [00:00:00](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTuMHwQQCqM&t=0) Introduction - AI Plugin Overview - Zachary introduces daily-use Figma plugins that save significant time - Claims these weren't possible even a year ago #### โฑ๏ธ [00:00:30](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTuMHwQQCqM&t=30) UX Pilot - Branding-Aware Wireframing - Free plugin with paid tier - Key feature: automatically pulls branding from existing Figma components - Demo: analytics screen for "Adoram" project - "Select use my components" prevents generic outputs #### โฑ๏ธ [00:02:15](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTuMHwQQCqM&t=135) AI to Design - Multi-Model Integration - Integrates OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, and Grok into Figma - Rationale: different AI models excel at different tasks - Palette generation with custom or popular options - Converts colors to Figma styles automatically #### โฑ๏ธ [00:03:45](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTuMHwQQCqM&t=225) Color Palette Generator - Smart Apply Feature - "Smart apply" maps colors to UI elements automatically - Version saving enables easy comparison with clients - Transforms basic/generic designs quickly #### โฑ๏ธ [00:05:00](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTuMHwQQCqM&t=300) Adoram Plugin - Contextual Feedback System - Solves vague feedback problem ("the button's broken") - Comments placed directly on design elements - Converts feedback to assignable tasks with deadlines - Version control shows iteration count to clients #### โฑ๏ธ [00:06:30](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTuMHwQQCqM&t=390) Luca Icons - Comprehensive Icon Library - Non-AI bonus plugin - Thousands of icons with consistent styling - Customizable stroke width and colors - Eliminates tab-switching for icon hunting ## ๐Ÿ“š References - [UX Pilot Figma Plugin](https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/ux-pilot) - [AI to Design by Div Riots](https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/ai-to-design) - [Color Palette Generator](https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/color-palette-generator) - [Adoram Plugin](https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/adoram) - [Luca Icons](https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/luca-icons) ## ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Paraphrase A designer demonstrates six Figma plugins that use AI to eliminate common workflow bottlenecks. And I'm so mad I didn't
[00:04] discover these sooner. And these are the
[00:06] Figma plugins I'm reaching for almost
[00:08] daily cuz they're saving me so much
[00:09] time. I want to show you what they can
[00:11] do and just how gamechanging they are.
[00:13] Let's get into it. So, UX Pilot is
[00:15] definitely my favorite AI Figma plugin
[00:17] for doing mock-ups and wireframes really
[00:19] quickly. It's free. There's a paid
[00:20] version as well, but what makes it
[00:22] really cool is its ability to pull your
[00:23] branding automatically from other things
[00:25] in Figma. You can see the interface is
[00:27] very clean. You can tell it to create
[00:29] whatever you want. You can pull from
[00:30] Figma, export to web, but for this
[00:33] example, we're just going to plug our
[00:34] prompt in. I'm working on a new analytic
[00:36] screen for Adoram, and I'm very hyped to
[00:38] see what it comes up with. So, here's
[00:40] our prompt, but this is where it gets
[00:42] really cool. Select use my components,
[00:44] and it'll utilize the branding already
[00:45] in your document, so you're not getting
[00:47] something generic. Yeah, look at this.
[00:49] This turned out really good. Am I going
[00:50] to ship this out of the box? Probably
[00:52] not. But I think this saved me a
[00:54] substantial amount of time in the design
[00:55] process cuz for me personally, the
[00:57] hardest part is always the ideation.
[01:00] Next up is a plugin called AI to design
[01:02] by Div Riots. And I really like this one
[01:04] because usually when you're working in
[01:05] Figma, you're stuck using their AI. But
[01:07] AI2 Design breaks that completely open
[01:09] by letting you bring any of the major
[01:11] models into Figma like OpenAI, Gemini,
[01:14] Claude, and even Grock. And that matters
[01:15] because all these models aren't great at
[01:17] the same things, and you can pick the
[01:18] right brain for the job. I can shop
[01:20] through palettes, pick popular ones or
[01:23] ones made just for me. This green one
[01:25] looks really cool, so I'll add it to
[01:26] Figma and it drops it as a set of colors
[01:28] that I can then turn into styles. And
[01:30] once again, the hardest part for me is
[01:32] ideation. So if I'm starting a new
[01:34] project that has nothing to do with
[01:35] Adar, this just saves me so much time
[01:37] picking colors. Next up is color palette
[01:39] generator. Now, give me a moment because
[01:41] I know a lot of tools do that, but this
[01:43] one is really cool because it has a
[01:44] feature called smart apply. Here's the
[01:46] plugin open with my design in the
[01:48] background. Right now it looks very
[01:49] basic and generic. So, let's fix that.
[01:52] And here's where it gets really good. I
[01:54] can grab my frames and hit smart apply,
[01:55] and it instantly maps all the colors
[01:57] onto the UI. But with this plugin, it's
[02:00] really easy. You can push each save as a
[02:02] new version, and you can scroll back at
[02:04] any time and show the client how far
[02:05] you've come together. Most AI plugins in
[02:07] this video are about designing faster.
[02:09] This next one's about shipping faster.
[02:11] So, think about how many times in your
[02:13] career you get vague design feedback,
[02:14] like the buttons broken, there's no
[02:16] additional context or screenshot, and
[02:18] you're like, "What the hell are they
[02:19] talking about?" Well, the Adrim plugin
[02:21] solves that. So, I've got my new
[02:22] analytic screen that I want feedback on.
[02:24] So, let's open the ad room plugin and
[02:26] create a new project so I can send this
[02:28] to our design lead, Dave. And with this
[02:30] plugin, Dave can drop a comment wherever
[02:32] he has feedback. And it's marked on the
[02:34] exact spot, so I don't have to go
[02:35] chasing him for clarity or staring at my
[02:37] screen trying to figure it out myself.
[02:39] And afterwards, every pen becomes a task
[02:41] that you can then assign to someone, set
[02:42] a status on, and give a date to. And
[02:45] clients love it because it's so
[02:46] ridiculously easy for them. They
[02:48] literally just point, click, and leave
[02:49] their feedback. I also really enjoy the
[02:51] version control with Ador. So, natively
[02:53] in Figma, there's no way to tell how
[02:55] many versions you've been through.
[02:56] Sometimes that's the nicest way to say,
[02:57] "Hey, we've been going back and forth
[02:59] like six times. Let's ship it." This
[03:01] next one is not AI. It's kind of a bonus
[03:03] one I'm mentioning, but it's really
[03:04] helpful. So, it's called Luca icons, and
[03:06] there's thousands of icons for you to
[03:08] choose from. They all look so slick. We
[03:10] use them here at Adoram. You can change
[03:12] the stroke width, you can change the
[03:14] color, and they look just so good. And
[03:16] you don't have to go searching for hours
[03:17] for icons or opening other tabs cuz
[03:19] they're just all right here in the
[03:20] dashboard. I'd love to know what is
[03:22] saving you so much time. If there's an
[03:23] AI Figma plugin that I missed, please
[03:25] leave it in the comments. I'm always
[03:26] discovering new tools and you may help
[03:28] someone else out, too. If you enjoyed
[03:29] this video, you've got to check out the
[03:31] Claude Adobe integration video I just
[03:33] did because it's so freaking cool.
[03:34] Because once you have Adobe set up in
[03:36] Claude, you can vectorize logos, edit
[03:38] photos, and videos. I mean, you're
[03:39] really only limited by your imagination.
[03:41] So, be sure to check it out. My name is
[03:43] Zachary and I'll catch you in the next
[03:44] one. ## Highlights - The hardest part is always the ideation... this just saves me so much time - Note: ๐Ÿ“š AI design tools eliminate ideation paralysis more than execution overhead ยท - Repeated emphasis throughout video on ideation being the primary bottleneck - Demonstrated with UX Pilot's component-aware wireframing reducing blank-canvas syndrome ยท #atom/literature/h1 - All these models aren't great at the same things, and you can pick the right brain for the job - Note: ๐Ÿ“š Multi-model AI integration outperforms single-model approaches for creative tasks ยท - AI to Design plugin's core value proposition - Recognizes that different AI models have distinct creative strengths ยท #atom/literature/h2 - Dave can drop a comment wherever he has feedback.
