**[00:00]** Now, if you're like me, and you're busy vibe-coding websites and apps, then the one thing that you do need at the end of it of creating your amazing site or app is some reliable hosting to put it on. Something that's fast, scalable, secure, because at the end of the day, if you create a successful app and you start getting lots of visitors, it's super important to be able to service those visitors, keep your app up live and fully working. So, I'm here now in a vibe-coding app called Rocket, and I've got my really nice-looking site here
**[00:30]** that I've managed to create. So, fair play to Rocket, they did a good job with that. Look at this, you've got like companies here, we've got resources. It's a really nice, clean-looking website that I've managed to make, and it only took about 10 minutes. But, now, what do I do with the code? Where do I put it? Well, all I need to do is just go up here to where it says download code, and you might have the same in whatever app you're using to build websites and so on. Whether that's like Bolt or Lovable, Emergent, and so on. All of these different builders Replit, you can usually get the code from them
**[01:03]** and then go and put it wherever you want. And it's quite nice to have that code, you know, in your complete control on a server of your choice. So, this is all of the code that I've got here in my little app. There it is. And then, I'm just going to download it right now, and then I'm going to show you a host that I found that's really, really good for these kind of AI-generated websites and apps. And it is called these guys here Cloudways by Digital Ocean. Now, you may have heard about Digital Ocean before.
**[01:34]** They're a huge hosting company that many, many successful app builders are using online at the moment. And I would say the four cornerstones of their hosting really are these: performance, flexibility, reliability, and the cost. They offer a lot of features for a lot less than some other companies. And of course, again, if you're starting out and you're putting your app online, you don't want to spend a fortune on hosting. You just want to know that it's scalable and it's going to work. So, with that, let's jump into my account with Cloudways right here. And the first
**[02:05]** thing I'll want to do is to go and set up a server. So, just on the left, you can see it's got my servers, and I'll just click on there. And we've got like a little wizard here on the left to help us anyway, which is nice. And then, the application and server details. So, I'm not using WordPress. They also do really good job of optimized WordPress hosting as well, WooCommerce, all of that kind of stuff. And then, I'm going to pick this one, PHP, and then we'll call my app. I'm going to call it job board, cuz that's what it is. And then, we can call the server name as well. We'll call
**[02:35]** that job board. And the project, we're also called job board. And then, here we get to choose our application stack. If you're not sure which one to choose, you can just click on that, and it will just give you the pros and cons, as it were, for each of them. I'm going to stick with a lightning stack, cuz as I say, speed is key here. We want really fast loading times for our websites and apps. And then, I'm going to pick Digital Ocean, which of course is the owner of Cloudways anyway. And then, just down here, we can choose the server type that we want. I'll leave it, I think, on the 4 GB, and then I'm going to choose my
**[03:07]** location, and you get to choose from all of these different locations around the world, like Australia, West Coast of America, and throughout Europe. But, I'm based in London anyway, so I'm going to use that one. And then, we just click launch now to get going with our app hosted. Now, if you want to, you can crank down the power there as well. So, I've just picked 2 GB there, and then now the cost is only $28 a month. So, it's entirely up to you which kind of sort of hosting that you want, what level of RAM you need, and the amount of
**[03:37]** storage, and so on. But, I'm just going to click launch now, put in my card details, and then I'll see you the other side. So, that worked perfectly, and now it's just here, as you can see, we've got 2 GB basic, hosted in London, and then it's adding the server right now, and it should be ready in about 7 minutes. And sure enough, there you go, in 7 minutes, my server is ready to go. So, let's have a quick look inside. We've got our credentials there, which we'll use for FTP'ing up our files. Next, we've got monitoring, so you can check on your server's health, which is
**[04:08]** great. See how much megabytes of your RAM is being used at the moment, the CPU usage, and then your overall disk space usage. You can see I've got nearly 50 GB just here. So, at any time you want, you can just refresh that and get extra details just here as well. So, that's really, really useful little section. And then, services-wise, you've got all of these different services like Apache and Nginx, MySQL. You can restart them anytime if there's any issues. Settings and packages, this is where you can
**[04:39]** manage the various server-level settings like these limits here. And then, we've got PHP, MySQL, Nginx, Apache, and system. More packages, optimization here as well, so you can do disk cleanups. And then, maintenance is just here, too. So, if you want to do server maintenance and everything, you can do that and schedule what day and time would be. Obviously, best thing to do is to schedule it so it's a ridiculous time in the morning when you have the least users, depending on your geographical location. And then, just here, we've got security-wise, which is like I told you,
**[05:11]** it's one of the cornerstones of Cloudways hosting is security. You've got firewall, you've got malware protection, and then you can access it via shell just here as well. And also important, when you've got your app up and running, you really do want to be able to back everything up. And you can do that on autopilot just here. Just set the day, time, and frequency of your backups. You can also take one on demand as well. And then, finally, you've got the SMTP settings right here for your email. And that is about it. So, now, I'm going to
**[05:42]** use these details, and I'm going to use FileZilla, cuz it's free, and I'm going to enter them in, and then let's get our new little vibe-coded website straight up into Cloudways. Now, I've connected with FileZilla straight into my Cloudways server. I've got all of my files here on the left, and then all I need to do is just click upload, and then, like that, you can see it's super fast. It's just whipped all of my files up. And now, we should be able to go and take a little look at our actual website. And now, those files are all
**[06:13]** uploaded, we've got ourselves an application installed on our new server. So, that's fantastic. There it is, you can see it says job board. We've got a whole new other load of options here as well I want to show you. So, the first thing is, does it work? Well, let's click on the application URL, and there it is, Job Hub Pro, and my site, which loads super fast, which is fantastic. Let's just click companies. Let's have a little look around, resources. And we've got all of our links down here. And you can see how quick it is. But, in a minute, I'm actually going to test it with Google PageSpeed as well, just to
**[06:44]** make sure that we're getting a super fast service here. But, let's go back to Cloudways. So, we've got our database manager right here, password protection, and then we can also add a custom domain as well, which is obviously what you're going to want to do once you're happy with your app. All you have to do is just click add domain, and then you can set up the DNS settings of your domain to point to your new app, and you've got it on your own dot com. And then, we've got analytics, so we can keep an eye on the traffic as well that's running to our app. Really useful. Cron job
**[07:16]** management, depending on your app, you might need cron jobs to run at specific times of the day. And then, of course, an SSL certificate as well. That's really important, too, so that it runs on that secure socket layer. And then, application settings down here as well. Loads and loads of options. So, you've got all of the main kind of options that you would expect on a really high-quality, high-spec'd server, but for very little money per month. And I think that's one of the reasons why I think Cloudways by Digital Ocean is going to be really good for anybody who's vibe-coding apps and
**[07:47]** creating AI-powered websites. And there, we also can add in our Cloudflare settings there as well. It's all convenient, cuz it's all kind of done from within this dashboard, which is great. So, now we've got our website up and running and hosted, let's go and see how fast it is. So, let's take this URL of our site, and we'll put it into PageSpeed just here. This is Google's own speed detector, if you like, and we can see how fast our app is running on Cloudways hosting. It tests for both mobile and desktop, and then gives you a
**[08:19]** score as to how quick it is. Boom, and there we are. Performance is 92. That is fantastic. We've got 96 on best practices, and then the other things like accessibility and SEO are obviously nothing to do with the speed whatsoever. But, the actual speed of the site and the performance of it is really good, and it's even better on desktop, 99 out of 100. And so, there we go. Proof that Cloudways by Digital Ocean can give you really good, fast hosting for your vibe-coded app or website. And other
**[08:50]** reasons to choose these guys, 24/7 support. I had to use it earlier on, not because there was anything wrong, just cuz I got stuck. And then, you get free SSL, server-level firewall, unlimited apps, a staging environment, too, which is great if you're doing any kind of development work. It's good to have a staging version of your app, and then the live production one. And you've got Cloudflare, as we have already shown you from within the app. And then, automated backups as well. So, really good. Pricing-wise, at the time of doing this video, you can see you can even start
**[09:22]** with a micro service just here. If you only need like a gig of RAM, one vCPU, 25 GB of storage, which is actually quite a lot for a small app, then you're looking at $14 a month. Very, very good. And then, if you want some of the more kind of higher-end level of servers, faster servers, then you can obviously increase that. But, the option is there to keep moving up as your app traffic grows. So, that's it for this video. There's a link underneath if you want to go and try out these guys, Cloudways. I
**[09:54]** highly recommend them after having tried them out. And as you can see, the apps run fast, and that's what we want. All right, that's it for this video, and I'll see you in the next one in just a second.
