Finances Under Investigation > ## ๐Ÿงญ Table of Contents - [๐Ÿ“ Summary](#-summary) - [๐Ÿ“– Main Content](#-main-content) - [๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Notes](#๏ธ-notes) - [๐Ÿ“š References](#-references) - [๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Paraphrase](#๏ธ-paraphrase) - [๐Ÿ“ฐ Newsletter](#-newsletter) - [โœ… Action Items](#-action-items) - [๐Ÿงช Hypotheses](#-hypotheses) - [๐Ÿ“Š Methodology](#-methodology) - [โ“ Questions](#-questions) - [๐Ÿ”ฎ Future Research](#-future-research) - [๐Ÿ’ก Implications](#-implications) - [๐Ÿง Learning Styles Assessment](#-learning-styles-assessment) - [๐Ÿ“Š Accessibility Assessment](#-accessibility-assessment) - [๐ŸŒ DEIB Assessment](#-deib-assessment) - [โœ… Logical Validity](#-logical-validity) - [๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ DARVO Analysis](#-darvo-analysis) - [๐ŸŽฏ Conclusion](#-conclusion) ## ๐Ÿ“ Summary - Pastor Greg Locke tells his congregation that roughly three weeks into a six-week sabbatical, around 60 federal agents raided his home at 6 a.m., served search warrants for his house and "Lock Media," and a subpoena for the church (Global Vision Bible Church) building, over allegations he misappropriated church funds. - He says agents seized phones, computers, and devices, searched the property extensively, and left with only a small box of bank statements. He frames the investigation as the product of two years of online accusations, a "whistleblower" Facebook page, and a retracted book. - Days later, the church's bank canceled all Global Vision accounts after being subpoenaed for records, leaving the church and Locke's family without functioning bank accounts; staff have gone unpaid by choice. - Locke says he won't retaliate against or publicly name the accusers or the investigating agency, frames himself and his family as targets of a coordinated smear campaign, and pivots the address into a call to worship and give financially "by faith." - Everything here is a single, uncorroborated first-person account from the accused. No independent reporting, court documents, named agency, or on-record confirmation is cited in the transcript โ€” treat every specific (raid size, warrant contents, agent conduct) as Locke's characterization, not established fact. ## ๐Ÿ“– Main Content - The core narrative: pre-dawn raid โ†’ search warrants (home, "Lock Media") + subpoena (church) โ†’ seizure of devices and a small quantity of bank records โ†’ no arrest โ†’ ongoing federal investigation into alleged misappropriation of church funds spanning back to 2020. - Locke repeatedly emphasizes cooperation ("we have nothing to hide"), claims investigators and the sheriff's department have been sympathetic once they "realized" the allegations were overblown, and says his personal "generosity journals" show he gave more to the church than he received from it. - Financial fallout is presented as immediate and severe: the bank canceling Global Vision's accounts is described as leaving the church running on "cash app and PayPal," with Pushpay unable to disburse funds to an account. - Key terms: "misappropriation of church funds" (the specific federal allegation, never detailed further), "search warrant" vs. "subpoena" vs. "arrest warrant" (Locke stresses no arrest warrant existed), "de-banked" (used to draw a parallel to J6/COVID-related account closures elsewhere). - Uncertainties and contested claims: the agency involved is deliberately unnamed; no reporter, court filing, or official statement is referenced; the claim that agents "quickly realized" wrongdoing is Locke's own assessment of investigators' reactions, not a quoted or sourced statement from them; the scale ("50 to 60 agents," "AR" pointed at his son) is uncorroborated eyewitness testimony from an interested party. ### ๐Ÿ—’๏ธ Notes - No timestamps are present in the supplied transcript, so segment-level timestamped links aren't possible โ€” notes below are organized by topic instead. - **The raid narrative**: pre-dawn, no advance notice, described as violent in execution (door battered, family restrained, child at gunpoint) โ€” this is the emotional core of the address and sets up the victim framing that follows. - **Legal posture**: search warrants + subpoena, explicitly no arrest warrant; six years of records requested (2020โ€“present); Locke says compliance has been "ahead of schedule" per his lawyers. - **Financial disruption**: bank closure of all Global Vision accounts is the most concrete, checkable claim in the transcript (a bank account closure leaves a paper/electronic trail) and is a good candidate for independent verification if this story is followed further. - **Rhetorical pivot**: the address moves from raid account โ†’ grievance against "whistleblowers" โ†’ declaration of non-retaliation โ†’ altar call/offering appeal in about 15 minutes of spoken content, structurally mirroring a classic testimony-to-invitation sermon arc. - **Self-comparison to persecution narratives**: invokes Job, Moses, "water walking," and government "de-banking" of J6/COVID-affected accounts โ€” these comparisons import outside political and religious frameworks to bolster the victim framing without new evidence. ## ๐Ÿ“š References - No external sources, articles, or court documents are cited in the transcript itself. - [Video source](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07Qg0JvkIME) ## ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Paraphrase - Locke tells his church that federal agents raided his home mid-sabbatical over years-old accusations that he misappropriated church money, that the search turned up nothing incriminating, and that he intends to forgive and not fight the people he believes set the investigation in motion. - He says the fallout has been severe and immediate โ€” devices seized, the church's and his family's bank accounts closed โ€” and frames the ordeal as a test of faith he expects will end in vindication, then uses that framing to ask the congregation to keep giving. ## ๐Ÿ“ฐ Newsletter - Not applicable โ€” no WordPress, developer tooling, or community-content angle in this material. ## โœ… Action Items #### DevRel - N/A โ€” outside DevRel scope. #### OSPO - N/A โ€” outside OSPO scope. #### Community - N/A โ€” outside community/ecosystem scope. #### WordPress - N/A โ€” no WordPress angle. #### The WPCC - N/A #### FAIR - N/A ## ๐Ÿงช Hypotheses - H1: The federal investigation centers on alleged diversion of church donations to personal use rather than general financial mismanagement. - H2: The account given omits or minimizes details (e.g., the specific nature of allegations, prior civil/criminal history) that would appear in independent reporting. - H3: The "whistleblower Facebook page" and "retracted book" referenced predate and directly triggered the federal referral, rather than the investigation arising independently. - H4: Public sympathy and continued donations depend heavily on the congregation accepting Locke's uncorroborated framing over any competing account. - H5: The bank account closures are a standard compliance response to a subpoena (de-risking), not evidence of guilt or innocence either way. ### ๐Ÿ“Š Methodology - Reading level estimate: informal spoken register, short declarative sentences mixed with long run-ons typical of unscripted preaching; rough Flesch-Kincaid grade โ‰ˆ 6โ€“8 (approximate, not computed from a text-analysis tool โ€” based on sentence length and vocabulary complexity observed in the transcript). - To test the hypotheses: search court dockets (PACER) and local news archives for the named location/church for search-warrant filings or press statements from any federal agency; compare account-closure timing against subpoena-response patterns reported elsewhere; look for prior civil suits, IRS filings (Form 990 if applicable), or news coverage of the referenced "whistleblower" page and retracted book. ### โ“ Questions - Which federal agency executed the raid, and is that confirmable independent of Locke's description? - What specific transactions or fund transfers triggered the "misappropriation" allegation? - Has any local or national outlet independently confirmed the raid occurred as described? - What was in the retracted book, and why was it retracted? ### ๐Ÿ”ฎ Future Research - Track for follow-up reporting once (if) charges are filed, declined, or the investigation closes โ€” that would be the first point of independent corroboration. - Compare this account's structure to other public figures' "the raid on my home" narratives to see if the victim-framing pattern recurs across similar cases. ### ๐Ÿ’ก Implications - For congregants/donors: financial appeals delivered inside a personal-crisis narrative warrant extra scrutiny before giving, regardless of the underlying facts of the investigation. - For media literacy: single-source, first-person accounts of legal jeopardy โ€” especially from the accused, to a sympathetic audience โ€” should be labeled as testimony pending corroboration, not treated as news. - For nonprofit/church governance: this is a live example of why independent financial audits and transparent fund-tracking reduce both actual misconduct risk and the ambiguity that lets any single narrative dominate. ### ๐Ÿง Learning Styles Assessment #### ๐Ÿ‘€ Visual learners - Present: none โ€” audio/spoken address only. - Improve: a timeline graphic (sabbatical start โ†’ raid โ†’ subpoena โ†’ bank closure โ†’ sermon) would clarify the sequence of events. #### ๐Ÿ”Š Aural learners - Present: this is a direct sermon/address, well suited to audio consumption as-is. #### ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Verbal learners - Present: heavy use of analogy (Job, Moses, walking on water) and repetition for emphasis. #### ๐Ÿงฉ Kinesthetic learners - Present: none. - Improve: n/a for this content type. #### ๐Ÿง Logical learners - Present: weak โ€” the causal chain (allegations โ†’ raid โ†’ outcome) is asserted, not evidenced. - Improve: a documented timeline with dates and named filings would let logical learners evaluate the claims independently. #### ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ Social learners - Present: delivered to a live congregation, invites collective response (worship, giving). #### ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ Solitary learners - Present: none โ€” reflection prompts would help isolate the verifiable claims from the emotional appeal. #### ๐ŸŒฟ Naturalistic learners - Present: not applicable to this content. ### ๐Ÿ“Š Accessibility Assessment #### Screen reader semantics - Present: N/A (raw transcript, no original markup). #### Keyboard navigation - N/A โ€” audio/video source. #### Contrast and readability - N/A โ€” no visual UI in source. #### Text resizing and reflow - N/A. #### Media and captions - Improve: publish a corrected, punctuated transcript with speaker labels and timestamps for accessibility and fact-checking. #### Forms and interactions - N/A. #### Standards reference - No WCAG-relevant elements in this transcript-only source. ### ๐ŸŒ DEIB Assessment #### Cultural breadth - Single perspective, single speaker, evangelical Christian frame; no other viewpoints represented. #### Inclusive language - Generally plain language; some in-group religious idiom ("water walkers," "book of Acts church") that outsiders may not follow. #### Neurodiversity support - Long, unstructured run-on sentences typical of unscripted speech may be harder to parse; a written summary aids comprehension. #### Representation - Speaker's family (wife, children) are described but not quoted directly; no other voices (investigators, accusers, church members) are represented. #### Psychological safety - Content includes descriptions of an armed raid, children present, and family distress โ€” flag as potentially distressing content if shared further. ### โœ… Logical Validity #### Strong reasoning - The observation that a bank closing accounts after a subpoena is a normal compliance/de-risking response (not proof of guilt) is a fair, testable point Locke himself implicitly acknowledges by framing it as bureaucratic overreach rather than evidence. #### Fallacies - **Appeal to lack of evidence as exoneration** ("they left with a little tiny box... nothing there") โ€” an incomplete or inconclusive search result doesn't establish an investigation's ultimate outcome; the case remains open per his own account. - **Poisoning the well / preemptive framing** โ€” labeling unnamed critics as possible fellow "victims" of hype, said before naming any accusation, primes the audience to discount criticism before evaluating it. - **Argument from authority of self** โ€” repeated assurances ("we have nothing to hide," "the government's been very gracious") rely on the speaker's own credibility as the sole evidence, with no independent corroboration offered. - **False dilemma / in-group signaling** โ€” dividing the audience into "water walkers" (loyal believers) versus implied doubters discourages neutral evaluation of the facts. #### Tone of voice - Emotional, testimonial, alternating between vulnerability (describing his children's fear) and defiant confidence ("we fight for truth"), building toward a fundraising appeal. ### ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ DARVO Analysis - **Deny**: Locke doesn't directly rebut the misappropriation allegation's substance; he asserts general innocence ("nothing to hide") without addressing what the specific claims are. - **Attack**: unnamed "whistleblowers," a Facebook page, and a retracted book are cast as the real instigators of harm, framed as reckless or misled rather than engaged on their merits. - **Reverse victim/offender**: the address centers Locke and his family's trauma (guns, terrified children, financial ruin) rather than the underlying allegation, repositioning the accused as the primary victim of the process. - **Emotional cues/rhetoric**: vivid physical detail (robe, riot gear, AR at his son's back), invocation of shared faith and scripture, and a direct pivot to a giving appeal โ€” combining sympathy-generation with fundraising in the same address. ## ๐ŸŽฏ Conclusion - This is a single, self-interested, unverified account of a federal investigation and search โ€” compelling as testimony, not established as fact. The concrete, checkable claim (bank account closures following a subpoena) is the most promising lead for independent verification; the raid's scale, agent conduct, and investigative outcome all rest solely on Locke's telling. - Next step for a reader: look for independent confirmation (local news, court filings, agency statement) before treating any specific detail โ€” agent count, warrant contents, "investigators' reactions" โ€” as confirmed. ## ๐Ÿ”„ Refactor Appendix โ€” Feds Raid Greg Locke's Home? All of your accounts are canceled immediately.'" **Context & use**: - The one claim in the transcript that's independently checkable (banks leave records of account closures). - Matters for tracking the financial-fallout thread if this story develops further. **Tags**: #xref ### Locke frames accusers as possible fellow victims, not enemies > [!quote] > "The people that did what I'm about to tell you could very well be just as much victims as we are" **Context & use**: - Rhetorical move that preempts criticism by recasting critics as misled rather than malicious โ€” key DARVO-adjacent moment. - Matters for the Logical Validity / DARVO sections above. **Tags**: #xref ### ๐Ÿง Permanent Candidates (H4) #### Testimony from the accused needs corroboration before it's fact **Claim** (Courtney's voice): A single self-narrated account of a raid or crisis โ€” especially one told by the person under investigation, to a sympathetic audience โ€” is testimony, not verification, and should be held as an open claim until independent records or reporting confirm it. **Evidence pointer**: [[#Locke describes pre-dawn raid by 60 federal agents]] **Scope & conditions**: - Holds when: the narrator is also the subject of the investigation/accusation and no outside source is cited. - Breaks when: independent documentation (court filings, named-agency statements, third-party reporting) corroborates the specific details. **Links**: - [[Media literacy โ€” single-source claims]] โ€” because extends - [[DARVO rhetorical patterns]] โ€” because evidence-for ### โœ๏ธ Fleeting Queue - [F1] Which federal agency conducted the raid โ€” findable via court docket search? Don't shoot. Don't shoot. I've
[03:38] got kids in the house." and they dragged
[03:39] my wife outside in her
[03:42] night shirt and underwear
[03:45] kicked our kids' bedroom doors in
[03:48] dragged my kids out of bed, three of
[03:49] them were home.
[03:51] We didn't know what was going on.
[03:54] I hear my kids
[03:55] mourning the loss of their brother. And
[03:57] they've got my son Malachi up against
[03:59] the wall with a
[04:00] AR at his back.
[04:03] They took us outside. We didn't know
[04:05] what what to do. We were
[04:07] uh
[04:07] shocked, terrified in the in the moment.
[04:12] They pulled me aside and said we're here
[04:15] because of an over of abundance the last
[04:17] couple of years of allegations online
[04:19] that you have misappropriated church
[04:21] funds.
[04:24] I was so shocked in the moment. I said a
[04:26] a phone call wouldn't have sufficed?
[04:29] For 3 hours they served us two search
[04:31] warrants, one for our house, one for
[04:32] Lock Media, and then a subpoena for the
[04:34] church building. They didn't raid this
[04:35] building, they raided the other two.
[04:40] A private year and a half to year
[04:41] investigation
[04:43] with no arrest warrant,
[04:45] only search warrants because they were
[04:47] told our home
[04:49] was filled with all the things that we
[04:50] had stolen.
[04:52] It's a pre-dawn raid. We didn't know
[04:53] they were coming.
[04:56] They took our phones, downloaded
[04:57] everything out of them. They took all of
[04:59] our computers, our devices.
[05:01] 3 hours went by.
[05:03] Three of the most
[05:05] earth-shattering, humiliating hours of
[05:08] our life.
[05:11] And they left with a little tiny box of
[05:13] literally
[05:15] a few bank statements.
[05:18] Nothing there.
[05:20] They went through the pages of our
[05:21] library books.
[05:23] Every drawer, every cabinet, every bed,
[05:26] every attic, every space,
[05:28] every chicken coop,
[05:31] every shed on our property.
[05:34] When I say between 50 and 60 agents,
[05:37] we're not talking the least bit of
[05:38] exaggeration.
[05:41] Kudos by the way to our Sheriff's
[05:43] Department.
[05:45] Whenever federal agents raid someone's
[05:47] home or business,
[05:49] the local sheriff's department has a a
[05:52] sidekick responsibility and our
[05:53] sheriff's department told them no.
[05:56] We know them.
[05:58] And this is not the way to go about it.
[05:59] These are not the people you think they
[06:01] are. So, kudos to our sheriff's
[06:03] department for being so kind. They Thank
[06:05] you.
[06:05] And they would not
[06:07] uh proceed with the federal agents.
[06:10] And uh the only person that came was
[06:11] about an hour later and it was the lady
[06:13] that had done the investigation on our
[06:14] house and when the house was shot up a
[06:16] couple years ago and she was very
[06:17] apologetic and
[06:19] the agents involved
[06:22] were uh
[06:24] extremely kind
[06:26] on the back end because they began to
[06:28] realize, "Oh my goodness,
[06:32] this house had nothing in it that we
[06:33] were told it would be full of
[06:36] or lock media for that matter."
[06:38] But it began obviously an investigation
[06:40] and they have to continue to do their
[06:41] investigation and so for the last 3
[06:43] weeks or 3 and 1/2 weeks, our lives have
[06:45] been turned
[06:47] inside out.
[06:51] To God be the glory, the
[06:53] uh attorney general
[06:55] has [snorts] given us extra time to be
[06:57] able to uh solidify all the paperwork
[06:59] that we need. We're talking about tens
[07:00] of thousands of documents. They've gone
[07:01] back to 2020, so 6 years
[07:04] of personal
[07:06] uh personal lock media and global vision
[07:09] records, which are fine. We have nothing
[07:11] to hide.
[07:12] It's just difficult to get them
[07:13] everything they want because they took
[07:14] everything that it's already on. Does
[07:16] that make sense? All of our devices. And
[07:17] so we've had to get another laptop and
[07:18] really start from scratch. Uh some of
[07:21] you have probably already received
[07:21] letters or phone calls. They've
[07:22] subpoenaed everybody you can imagine and
[07:24] what they're finding is that everybody
[07:26] they're subpoenaing
[07:27] who I don't even know who they all are,
[07:29] people that have donated money in the
[07:30] past, missionaries overseas. They want
[07:32] to make sure, you know, cuz they were
[07:33] told that we're, you know, trafficking
[07:35] children and all of this.
[07:38] And uh
[07:40] so the more they dig,
[07:44] the more they begin to see things like,
[07:45] "Wow, these are not quite the people
[07:48] that we were told they were."
[07:51] But, the investigation still has to go.
[07:53] It's federal at this point.
[07:55] And so, they've been going through
[07:57] everything,
[07:58] which is fine. We have nothing to hide,
[07:59] and they're figuring that out.
[08:01] And I'm not fighting them. And by the
[08:03] way, here's what they know and what
[08:05] everybody in this room and online knows.
[08:07] I could have went live the first day it
[08:09] happened
[08:11] and caused riots in the streets with the
[08:13] size of our platform.
[08:16] But, the Lord said, "No, no, no.
[08:19] I'll vindicate you.
[08:22] You don't have to fight them." Amen.
[08:26] You don't have to say anything, nor do I
[08:28] want to, because I want
[08:30] And that's why I'm I'm being careful.
[08:31] I'm not even telling you what
[08:32] three-letter agency it was.
[08:36] They They need to understand that
[08:39] the only reason I'm even making an
[08:40] announcement is not for sympathy points,
[08:42] but because it's put personally us and
[08:45] the church in such a tailspin
[08:48] in several ways.
[08:50] And so, I'm not looking for people to
[08:51] come up. "Oh, yeah, we'll we'll fight
[08:52] for you." No, we we fight for the Lord.
[08:55] We fight for truth. We fight for
[08:57] righteousness.
[08:59] But, the the thing that angered me
[09:02] was not that it happened, but that the
[09:04] enemy kicked us while we were down, and
[09:06] it took away the opportunity for me to
[09:08] continue to to to grieve
[09:11] Evan. And so, we've been the last few
[09:13] weeks just in this tailspin of
[09:15] uh my wife has has spent countless hours
[09:20] at a laptop and on the phone
[09:22] and banks and it just trying to figure
[09:24] out everything that we can get them that
[09:26] they don't already have, because they
[09:28] already have all of our records, and we
[09:29] have no ability to get them. I I think
[09:31] the real issue is they just want to make
[09:33] sure that we're being compliant, which
[09:34] both they and our lawyers have thanked
[09:37] us and said, "Listen, usually this takes
[09:38] a lot longer than it does, but you're a
[09:40] long way with the ball down the court
[09:42] because you've been very complicit,
[09:43] which shows us you have nothing to hide.
[09:45] And so, the government's been very
[09:47] uh
[09:48] gracious in the way that they've
[09:50] backtracked. They came in super hot, but
[09:52] wouldn't you?
[09:53] I mean, the things they've said for the
[09:55] last 2 years.
[09:56] No wonder they came in with
[09:58] guns blazing.
[09:59] But, they quickly began to realize,
[10:01] "Wow,
[10:04] we got one joke out of the whole thing.
[10:06] The lead investigator, of no relation,
[10:08] has the last name Locke. My wife said,
[10:10] "That's unfortunate."
[10:14] But, it has been wow, it has been a
[10:16] journey.
[10:19] Uh
[10:22] I think the reason we sleep at night
[10:23] well is because we
[10:25] it's it's going to be fine. It just
[10:27] governmental processes can take a long
[10:29] time.
[10:31] We're praying for
[10:33] a swift
[10:36] restoration. The books will just be
[10:37] closed. Exoneration. I mean, the more
[10:40] they dig, the more they realize
[10:43] these are the most benevolent people in
[10:45] this congregation we've really ever met.
[10:47] They don't They don't know what to do
[10:48] with a church like ours that's given all
[10:49] the money away through the years and
[10:50] really has nothing to show for it.
[10:52] But, mad people they gave money to.
[10:56] And so,
[10:59] I think the one
[11:00] real deep salvageability in the whole
[11:02] thing is when they took our records,
[11:04] they took my generosity journals that
[11:06] I've been writing for a few years.
[11:09] And they're like,
[11:11] "Holy smokes.
[11:13] This guy's not only giving a ton of
[11:15] money away to people all over the world,
[11:18] but the guy's given 100 times more to
[11:19] the church than the church has ever
[11:20] given into his family. And so, there's
[11:22] been no personal benefit."
[11:26] And so, it's
[11:28] it's been a it's been a a wild journey.
[11:32] It's It's been a uh a humbling journey
[11:35] for a guy like me that just
[11:39] knows he could come out hot
[11:44] and rile people up.
[11:47] And we have people, by the way, that do
[11:49] know about this context that are angry
[11:50] that I haven't done it.
[11:54] And they'll have to get over it.
[11:59] Because I've grown and when I became a
[12:01] man, I put away childish things and I
[12:03] don't have time to fight.
[12:07] Listen.
[12:09] You'll You'll know when it's time for us
[12:10] to fight the governments when the
[12:11] Antichrist shows up and we'll fight that
[12:13] joker.
[12:14] And we'll go down swinging and we'll use
[12:15] the platform God's given us for it, but
[12:17] now is not the time to fight. Now is the
[12:18] time to believe God for a water walking
[12:21] miracle.
[12:23] But here's why I had to share
[12:25] uh
[12:27] the brutal embarrassment of such a
[12:28] moment that
[12:30] we have nothing to hide and so
[12:32] maybe it's not nearly that embarrassing.
[12:34] Because it's a federal investigation
[12:36] that next week, 2 weeks ago,
[12:39] we went to conduct our normal business
[12:42] and because the government had
[12:44] subpoenaed the records from our banks,
[12:48] the bank said, "Sorry.
[12:51] All of your
[12:53] accounts are canceled immediately."
[12:56] So, they canceled all of our Global
[12:57] Vision accounts. We have operated, I
[13:00] don't know how.
[13:02] We have operated this church for 2 weeks
[13:06] with no income and no outflow.
[13:09] Now, for those that will be giving
[13:10] later,
[13:12] we're praying that the Lord this week
[13:14] will do a a Red Sea miracle and give us
[13:16] a bank so we can put the checks in.
[13:19] Pushpay, uh this will be the first
[13:21] weekend that Pushpay, our online giving
[13:23] platform for those watching online, that
[13:26] it won't go through to an account, but
[13:28] you can still give because Pushpay will
[13:30] hold it
[13:31] in their containment online for a couple
[13:34] of weeks until there's a place to
[13:35] disseminate the funds to.
[13:38] But, listen.
[13:41] Kudos to our entire leadership team.
[13:43] They have gone without any pay, and all
[13:46] of them say, "Preacher, we're riding at
[13:48] dawn. We're not here for a paycheck."
[13:51] None of them
[13:53] have received any pay whatsoever. And
[13:55] even when we get an account,
[13:58] uh I'm you know, I'm not going to I'm
[14:00] not going to go back on the payroll in
[14:01] any way. I'm obviously this is they they
[14:04] canceled our our personal accounts as
[14:05] well, and so we've been scrambling. We
[14:07] have one small checking account at
[14:08] another bank that we've been able to
[14:09] utilize, and we've basically been living
[14:11] on Cash App and PayPal for a couple of
[14:13] weeks.
[14:14] My family that is. The church, we could
[14:16] not at this second
[14:18] buy a stick of gum.
[14:21] With offerings,
[14:23] last Sunday's offerings sitting in a
[14:24] safe,
[14:26] waiting on a bank, which is not as easy
[14:28] as you would think because the story
[14:33] is what has to be told when we're
[14:34] opening up a business account. We can't
[14:35] lie to them.
[14:37] So, all the banks in this area have told
[14:39] us no we for [music] almost 2 weeks now.
[14:42] Credit unions closed door, closed door,
[14:44] closed door. So,
[14:45] >> [music]
[14:45] >> we are
[14:47] literally
[14:49] a book of Acts church
[14:52] that is functioning
[14:54] with no income
[14:56] and no ability to pay any bills
[14:58] whatsoever.
[15:00] Unless it's cash.
[15:02] And who carries that these days, right?
[15:06] So, it's been a very uh
[15:11] It's been the most trying time of 20
[15:13] years
[15:16] of pastoring this [music] church.
[15:18] And I'm at more peace
[15:21] than I been
[15:25] in such a long time because look,
[15:27] I am so far out of the boat.
[15:30] God either teaches me to walk on water
[15:33] or he just lets me drown. And I refuse
[15:35] he's brought me this far to let me
[15:36] drown.
[15:41] So maybe somebody in the house, maybe
[15:42] somebody online,
[15:44] we have one option for a bank that works
[15:47] with ministries and patriots that have
[15:49] been de-banked because of J6 or because
[15:51] of COVID protocols. We think that that
[15:54] will work. We'll not know until
[15:55] tomorrow, Tuesday, the latest, Lord
[15:57] willing.
[15:58] We've been told by every bank in this
[16:00] town, so there's no reason to
[16:01] unless you're the president of one
[16:04] to give us that option because it's not
[16:05] there.
[16:08] It's been uh
[16:10] It's been It's been wild.
[16:15] It came at a time when not only our
[16:17] family was already down, but when the
[16:18] church was already financially
[16:21] in their in their kerfuffle, right? We'd
[16:22] already been down with our giving
[16:24] because
[16:26] of the same people that
[16:29] propagated what caused the raid. Just
[16:31] fine. I love every one of them and I
[16:32] wish them no evil. And I put I pray
[16:34] blessings over all of them.
[16:41] So here's where things get
[16:42] fun.
[16:44] And then we worship because you know
[16:45] what the Bible says?
[16:47] When we worship, God turns our situation
[16:49] around.
[16:51] When Job worshipped,
[16:54] he got back twice as much as the devil
[16:56] took from him.
[16:58] And I heard Pastor Jim Cymbala of the
[17:00] Brooklyn Tabernacle the other night at
[17:01] Hillcrest Baptist Church preach and say,
[17:03] "God specializes in getting stolen goods
[17:07] back."
[17:15] So
[17:16] all of this
[17:17] with already difficult financial
[17:20] pressure moving in, it's affected our
[17:21] insurance.
[17:24] Uh it's affected this building
[17:27] that we are in.
[17:30] So, in a few minutes we're going to
[17:31] worship. I'm going to preach. We're
[17:32] going to take an offering.
[17:34] We're going to give like we got 10 bank
[17:35] accounts.
[17:36] Cuz I'm giving by faith today and
[17:38] believing God's going to do a miracle.
[17:40] But not only
[17:43] And I'm just talking to the water walk
[17:44] walkers in the room. For people that get
[17:46] super discouraged, you're already, you
[17:47] know, grieved by this. You just don't
[17:49] know so much drama. That's fine.
[17:51] Our doors are staying open to you, but
[17:53] I'm not talking to you. I'm talking to
[17:54] the water walkers.
[17:56] Faith-filled people.
[17:58] Because
[18:03] in 1 month from right now
[18:06] we have no building.
[18:10] And that's okay.
[18:14] And you know,
[18:15] some of my friends
[18:18] Man, they love me. They love this
[18:19] church. They love my family, my wife.
[18:23] But I have friends that are saying,
[18:26] "Pastor,
[18:28] you know you could just go back to being
[18:30] an evangelist and make plenty of money
[18:31] and preach wherever you want to." And
[18:33] and I And through the week I I will have
[18:35] to take some meetings just so our family
[18:37] can survive. But
[18:39] I told all of my friends, "I love you
[18:41] and I thank you for your wisdom.
[18:44] But I don't feel like God wants me to
[18:45] abandon the church.
[18:48] It's not time to lay down. It's not time
[18:50] to shut the doors. It's not time to
[18:51] quit.
[18:54] I I feel like
[18:56] this is my moment
[18:58] to be a real Bible Moses
[19:00] to lead the people out of the wilderness
[19:02] into the promised land. And so we
[19:03] literally are in a church with no
[19:06] building and no bank account, but a big
[19:08] God that's going to turn the whole
[19:10] situation AROUND AND HE'S GOING TO DO
[19:12] SOMETHING FOR THE GLORY OF GOD. STAND ON
[19:14] YOUR FEET CUZ WE'RE GOING TO WORSHIP THE
[19:15] LORD FOR A FEW. GET DOWN TO THE FRONT.
[19:17] Let's worship. Listen, IF YOU'RE GOING
[19:19] TO STICK WITH US, GET DOWN TO THE FRONT
[19:21] AND LET'S LIFT OUR HANDS. WE'RE GOING TO
[19:22] WATCH GOD DO MIRACLES FINANCIALLY. HE'S
[19:25] GOING TO GIVE US A BANK. HE'S GOING TO
[19:26] GIVE US A BUILDING. HE'S going to give
[19:28] us everything that we need. He's going
[19:30] to turn this situation around. WE'RE
[19:32] GOING TO GET a full accusatory
[19:34] governmental pardon and we're going to
[19:36] watch those that have said what they
[19:38] said have to sit in silence and watch us
[19:41] eat
[19:42] at the very table that's been prepared
[19:45] for us in the presence of our enemies.
[19:47] Let's worship the Lord for a few moments
[19:49] and then we're going to get into the
[19:50] word of God. Shout hallelujah to the
[19:52] Lord today. ## Highlights - at 6:00 in the morning 60 federal agents surrounded our home and we didn't know they were there - Note: ๐Ÿ“š Locke describes pre-dawn raid by 60 federal agents ยท - Opening dramatic claim that anchors the entire narrative; no independent source given. - Matters because it's the single largest unverified factual claim in the account (agent count, timing, lack of notice). ยท #atom/literature/h1 - the bank said, 'Sorry.
