## ๐ Summary
- A theological analysis exposing how the New Apostolic Reformation and Latter Rain movement created a "third covenant" that replaces both Old Testament law and New Testament grace with hierarchical human mediation.
- William Branham explicitly taught that Paul's gospel wouldn't work today, effectively abolishing the New Covenant of grace in favor of a system where apostles and prophets mediate between God and believers.
- This represents a fundamental departure from biblical Christianity, creating elitist structures that mirror Old Testament priestly systems while claiming modern prophetic authority.
- The movement's roots trace back through F.F. Bosworth, Charles Fox Parham, and John Alexander Dowie's Zion City, carrying forward British Israelism and selective application of Mosaic law.
- Modern "Kingdom Now" theology and fivefold ministry structures continue this pattern of replacing biblical covenants with human-mediated religious systems.
## ๐ Main Content
The speaker traces the theological evolution of movements that have fundamentally altered biblical covenant theology, starting with early influences and culminating in modern New Apostolic Reformation practices.
### Historical Foundations
The theological distortions began with leaders who misunderstood biblical covenants, combining Old Covenant law with British Israelismโthe belief that modern believers are literal Israelites for whom Mosaic code was written. This foundation ignored the Book of Hebrews' clear teaching about the Old Covenant being replaced by the New Covenant of grace.
### The Latter Rain Movement's Innovations
William Branham, mentored by F.F. Bosworth (from Dowie's Zion City) and managed by Gordon Lindsay (whose family had connections to Charles Fox Parham's sect), became a central figure in this theological shift. The movement:
- Created hierarchical structures with apostles and prophets at the top
- Selectively applied parts of ceremonial law, especially feast observances
- Established a pyramid system where "elites" mediated between God and ordinary believers
- Connected Old Testament feast cycles to a predicted "billion souls harvest"
### Branham's Explicit Covenant Replacement
Branham openly declared: "The word for Moses' day won't work in the days of Paul. The word for Paul's day won't work in our day." This statement reveals his systematic replacement of biblical covenants:
- Moses had a covenant for his people
- Paul had a covenant for his people
- Modern believers need a new covenant mediated through current apostles/prophets
In a vision account, Branham described seeing "Paul's people" going to judgment, then seeing "the most beautiful people" who identified as "your people, Brother Branham." When he claimed to have preached the same message as Paul, they responded, "We're resting on that"โyet elsewhere he taught that Paul's message (the gospel of grace) wouldn't work today.
### The False Covenant Structure
This created what the speaker calls a "new new covenant"โneither Old Testament law nor New Testament grace, but a hybrid system where:
- Leaders function as Moses-like mediators
- Followers must maintain loyalty to specific human leaders
- Abandoning one's "apostle" or "prophet" breaks the covenant with God
- Selected elements from all biblical covenants are merged into a new contract
## ๐๏ธ Notes
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:00:00](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=0) New Apostolic Reformation's Elitist Framework
- Core issue is elitism that separated the movement from the gospel
- Leaders misunderstood covenants, teaching Old Covenant law as current
- Combined with British Israelism claiming modern believers are Israelites
- Completely avoided Book of Hebrews' teaching about covenant replacement
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:01:15](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=75) Branham's Network of Influence
- Mentored by F.F. Bosworth from Dowie's Zion City leadership
- Campaign manager Gordon Lindsay founded Christ for the Nations
- Lindsay's family were in Zion City and joined Parham's sect
- Network carried forward Charles Fox Parham's doctrinal stream
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:02:30](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=150) Latter Rain's Ceremonial Law Revival
- Copied Zion City's idea of apostles/prophets filtering Mosaic code
- Introduced parts of ceremonial law, especially feast observances
- Tried to categorize and apply Old Testament feasts to modern times
- Connected feasts to predicted "great harvest" of billion souls
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:03:45](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=225) Hierarchical Mediation System
- Created pyramid with apostle at top, then prophet, down through Ephesians 4:11
- Leaders became "Moses figures" mediating new covenants
- Replaced both Old Covenant law and New Covenant grace
- Established "something different" while not calling it a covenant
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:04:30](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=270) Branham's Explicit Covenant Replacement Teaching
- "The word for Moses' day won't work in the days of Paul"
- "The word for Paul's day won't work in our day"
- Established distinct covenants for Moses, Paul, and modern times
- Created new covenant replacing New Testament grace
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:05:45](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=345) Vision of Segregated People Groups
- Claimed vision of "Paul's people" marching to judgment
- Saw "most beautiful people" who identified as "your people, Brother Branham"
- When asked about preaching same message as Paul: "We're resting on that"
- Implies different "generals" for different covenant peoples
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:07:00](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=420) The Gospel Contradiction
- Paul preached the New Covenant gospel of Jesus Christ
- If "Paul's message won't work today," then the gospel is obsolete
- Branham effectively wiped away both Old and New Covenants
- Created hybrid system selecting elements from all biblical covenants
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:08:15](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=495) Leader-Mediated Covenant Structure
- Contract required following the specific leader as mediator
- Abandoning one's leader broke the covenant with God
- Not a gospel covenant, but merger of all biblical covenants
- Included elements from Davidic covenant
#### โฑ๏ธ [00:09:00](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrPOSbBSNHA&t=540) Modern Continuation in Kingdom Theology
- Current "Kingdom Now" theology carries forward this language
- John Wimber's theology connected to this stream
- Modern ministries adopt the "new new covenant" framework
- Historical pattern continues in contemporary movements

## ๐ฃ๏ธ Paraphrase
The New Apostolic Reformation didn't emerge in a vacuumโit represents the culmination of over a century of covenant confusion that began with leaders who fundamentally misunderstood the relationship between Old and New Testament theology. Starting with figures like John Alexander Dowie and flowing through Charles Fox Parham to William Branham, these movements created an entirely new religious system that claims biblical authority while systematically replacing biblical covenants.
The key insight is that Branham didn't just modify Christianityโhe explicitly taught that Paul's gospel of grace was obsolete for modern believers. By declaring that "the word for Paul's day won't work in our day," he effectively abolished the New Covenant and replaced it with a hierarchical system where human leaders mediate between God and believers. This wasn't subtle theological drift but an open declaration that the gospel itself needed updating.
Modern manifestations in Kingdom Now theology and fivefold ministry structures continue this pattern, creating religious systems that look Christian but operate on fundamentally different assumptions about how believers relate to God and Scripture.
## ๐ฐ Newsletter
**The Theological Sleight of Hand That's Fooling Millions**
Ever wonder why some Christian movements feel more like multi-level marketing than the gospel? A deep dive into the New Apostolic Reformation reveals a century-old theological shell game that's been replacing biblical Christianity with something entirely different.
The pattern is consistent: take some Old Testament law, mix in selected New Testament passages, add a dose of "fresh revelation" through modern apostles and prophets, and voilร โyou've created a new covenant that requires human mediators. It's not Christianity; it's a religious system that uses Christian vocabulary while operating on completely different principles.
The scary part? William Branham, a key architect of these ideas, explicitly taught that Paul's gospel wouldn't work today. Think about that: the New Testament message of salvation by grace through faith is allegedly obsolete, replaced by whatever today's "apostles" are teaching.
Whether you're evaluating a church, ministry, or Christian leader, ask this simple question: Are they adding human mediators between you and God? If so, you might be looking at the latest iteration of a very old deception.

### โ
Logical Validity
#### Strong reasoning
- **Historical documentation**: Clear chronological progression from Dowie through Branham to modern NAR (throughout transcript) - demonstrates clear lineage of ideas
- **Textual analysis**: Direct quotes from Branham about covenant replacement ("word for Paul's day won't work") - provides concrete evidence for claims
- **Logical consistency**: Shows how covenant replacement necessarily leads to human mediation - follows logical implications
#### Fallacies
- **Guilt by association**: Connecting all modern fivefold ministry to Branham's errors without distinguishing degrees of deviation (around 8:15 mark) - not all hierarchical structures necessarily involve covenant replacement
- **Hasty generalization**: Implying all Kingdom Now theology carries forward Branham's specific covenant replacement (9:00 mark) - some may use similar language without identical theology
#### Tone of voice
- **Analytical and concerned**: "If you understand that history and you also understand what is contained in those covenants, then understand that something new was created" - measured but urgent warning tone
- **Instructional**: Uses clear explanations and examples to help listeners understand complex theological concepts
### ๐ก๏ธ DARVO Analysis
- **Deny**: Not applicable - this is theological analysis rather than response to accusations
- **Attack**: Focuses on theological systems rather than personal attacks on individuals
- **Reverse victim/offender**: Not present - maintains clear distinction between deceived followers and deceptive systems
## ๐ฏ Conclusion
This analysis reveals how the New Apostolic Reformation represents not a renewal of biblical Christianity, but a systematic replacement of biblical covenants with human-mediated religious systems. The movement's historical progression from Dowie through Branham to modern Kingdom Now theology shows a consistent pattern of creating "new covenants" that require apostolic mediators between believers and God.
The theological sleight of hand is profound: by claiming that Paul's gospel doesn't work today, these movements effectively abolish the New Covenant of grace while maintaining Christian vocabulary. This creates religious systems that look biblical but operate on fundamentally different assumptions about authority, revelation, and salvation.
For modern believers, the key insight is recognizing that any system requiring human mediators beyond Christ himself represents a departure from biblical Christianity, regardless of how much Scripture it quotes or how powerful its claimed spiritual manifestations.

[00:00] As it relates to the New Apostolic<br>[00:01] Refor- Reformation, the cults, the<br>[00:03] Pentecostal cults, the Latter Rain,<br>[00:06] understanding the elitism is key. And<br>[00:09] that's a core part of the history of how<br>[00:11] this movement not only evolved, but<br>[00:14] separated from the gospel.<br>[00:16] Men who didn't understand the covenants<br>[00:19] teaching parts of the Old Covenant law<br>[00:22] as though it were written for today's<br>[00:24] world, combining with British Israelism<br>[00:26] to say that we are the Israelites for<br>[00:28] which this code was written.<br>[00:30] And not<br>[00:33] the best way to say it is just fully<br>[00:34] avoiding the Book of Hebrews. The part<br>[00:37] where it says this was an Old Covenant<br>[00:39] and it's being replaced is fully<br>[00:42] wiped out in their minds.<br>[00:45] So, [clears throat] that established the<br>[00:46] framework that was built upon.<br>[00:49] Fast forward to the Latter Rain<br>[00:50] movement. In the Latter Rain movement,<br>[00:53] William Branham, who didn't understand<br>[00:56] the gospel at all, or if he did<br>[00:58] understand it, he tried to conceal it,<br>[01:00] much like the example I gave with my<br>[01:01] grandfather.<br>[01:03] He was mentored in the revivals by F. F.<br>[01:05] Bosworth, who was out of Dowie's Zion<br>[01:08] City, who was actually leadership in<br>[01:10] Zion City.<br>[01:12] So, being mentored by somebody who had<br>[01:14] that background, he was also led by his<br>[01:18] campaign manager was Gordon Lindsay, who<br>[01:20] founded later Christ for the Nations,<br>[01:23] and still today [clears throat] teaches<br>[01:25] all all kinds of doctrine that has this<br>[01:28] root, maybe not the same<br>[01:30] the same level of heresy, but has this<br>[01:32] root.<br>[01:33] Lindsay's family were in Zion City, and<br>[01:37] his family had joined the Parham's sect<br>[01:40] towards the end, and they moved out to<br>[01:42] be with John G. Lake, who was also in<br>[01:45] the same sect in Zion City. He was a<br>[01:47] Parhamite.<br>[01:49] So, [clears throat] they carried forward<br>[01:50] the Par- the Parham stream, the Charles<br>[01:52] Fox Parham stream of this doctrine.<br>[01:55] Branham was being led by, mentored by,<br>[01:57] trained by, working with, collaborated<br>[02:00] with, wrote editorial articles for in<br>[02:03] his Voice of Healing magazine, and<br>[02:05] strongly promoted leaders who had this<br>[02:08] ideology.<br>[02:10] And they carried it a step further.<br>[02:13] Whenever the Latter Rain movement broke<br>[02:15] out,<br>[02:16] not only did they<br>[02:18] sort of copy what<br>[02:20] what Zion City had, they didn't take it<br>[02:22] to the same level of extremes, but they<br>[02:25] copied idea that the Mosaic code should<br>[02:29] be filtered by an apostle or prophet as<br>[02:32] the spoken word for what they should<br>[02:34] mediate between God and man in this new<br>[02:37] version of a covenant they're creating.<br>[02:40] Well, they took it a step further and<br>[02:41] they tried to introduce parts of the<br>[02:44] ceremonial law, especially with regards<br>[02:47] to the feasts.<br>[02:48] They went through the Mosaic code, they<br>[02:51] tried to<br>[02:53] I I don't know, tried to categorize the<br>[02:55] feasts and apply them into today's<br>[02:57] world, which can't really be applied at<br>[03:00] all, much like the example of that I<br>[03:02] gave of the two books,<br>[03:04] but they tried to and they tried to say<br>[03:06] that these feasts will be established<br>[03:08] leading up to the great feast, which<br>[03:10] will be the great harvest, that<br>[03:12] eventually ended up into this billion<br>[03:15] souls harvest idea. There will be this<br>[03:17] great feast, this great celebration,<br>[03:19] and [clears throat]<br>[03:21] I know Branham did, I think some of the<br>[03:23] others did, they they relied heavily on<br>[03:25] the Old Testament prophets<br>[03:27] to predict futures that were being<br>[03:31] discussed as part of the old covenant<br>[03:34] dialogue, that that basically the<br>[03:37] interface between God and man was the<br>[03:39] prophet for the old covenant. They're<br>[03:41] trying to say that that interface<br>[03:43] between God and man as it related to the<br>[03:45] feasts was being spoken through the<br>[03:48] prophets of the Old Testament, but also<br>[03:51] being<br>[03:52] that shadow was being made plain today<br>[03:56] through the new<br>[03:57] fivefold ministry concept. And they<br>[04:00] created this hierarchical structure<br>[04:01] where there's an apostle, then a<br>[04:03] prophet, then all the way down the<br>[04:05] Ephesians fivefold ministry tiers.<br>[04:07] They created as a pyramid where at the<br>[04:10] top you had the elites. They basically<br>[04:12] became the Moses's that were mediating<br>[04:16] the new covenants that they were<br>[04:18] establishing while not calling it a<br>[04:20] covenant, but establishing a new<br>[04:22] covenant that was replacing literally<br>[04:25] replacing the old covenant of law and<br>[04:28] the new covenant of grace. They were<br>[04:30] creating something different. And<br>[04:32] Branham was very, very clear about this<br>[04:34] in the revivals. He would say the word<br>[04:37] for Moses' day won't work in the days of<br>[04:38] Paul. The The word for Paul's day won't<br>[04:41] work in our day. What was he doing? He<br>[04:43] was saying very clearly that<br>[04:46] there was a covenant established with<br>[04:48] Moses. That was for Moses' people. There<br>[04:51] was a covenant established for Paul.<br>[04:52] That was for Paul's people. Today we<br>[04:55] have a new covenant and it's the you<br>[04:57] know, during those years it was probably<br>[04:59] latter rain. Later on when he abandoned<br>[05:01] the latter rain movement, it became<br>[05:03] something<br>[05:04] even more destructive and entirely<br>[05:06] different than that. But he was<br>[05:08] essentially saying we have now a new<br>[05:10] covenant that replaces the new covenant<br>[05:12] of grace in Paul's day.<br>[05:15] And I know that there were people who<br>[05:16] were Branhamites who aren't yet aware<br>[05:19] that he did this.<br>[05:20] But think back to one of the examples he<br>[05:23] gave was this weird vision where he<br>[05:25] claimed that he had seen the other side.<br>[05:28] And he saw these people marching through<br>[05:30] with their leader as though Christianity<br>[05:33] were some weird leadership model. And he<br>[05:35] saw all these people rejoicing and they<br>[05:37] were [clears throat] going to the throne<br>[05:39] to be judged.<br>[05:41] And they were Paul's people.<br>[05:43] And then he saw the most beautiful,<br>[05:44] wonderful people. And whose people are<br>[05:46] they? He asked somebody, and they said,<br>[05:48] "We're your people, Brother Branham."<br>[05:50] And he said, "Well, I've preached the<br>[05:52] same message as Paul." And they said,<br>[05:53] "We're resting on that."<br>[05:55] >> [clears throat]<br>[05:56] >> If you understand that idea, he was<br>[05:59] basically, if you look at the God's<br>[06:02] generals thing, Paul was the general for<br>[06:04] his people, Branham was the general for<br>[06:06] his people, Moses was the general for<br>[06:08] his people.<br>[06:10] And<br>[06:11] >> [clears throat]<br>[06:11] >> combine that, while in that example, he<br>[06:13] said I preached the same message Paul<br>[06:14] did,<br>[06:15] but combine that with what he said<br>[06:17] outside of that sermon. He said that the<br>[06:19] message for Paul's day won't work today.<br>[06:23] What was Paul preaching? He was<br>[06:24] preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He<br>[06:26] was preaching the new covenant. You can<br>[06:28] read through Galatians, you can read<br>[06:30] through all of the books that I've<br>[06:31] mentioned, Paul is preaching the new<br>[06:33] covenant gospel.<br>[06:34] So, if that won't work for today,<br>[06:37] Branham is saying before all of these<br>[06:39] crowds of people,<br>[06:41] all of these leadership roles that have<br>[06:44] evolved into the New Apostolic<br>[06:46] Reformation today, who did accept him at<br>[06:49] this point of time?<br>[06:51] They believed that the word for Paul,<br>[06:54] which was the gospel, which was the new<br>[06:55] covenant, won't work for today if they<br>[06:58] adopted what Branham said.<br>[07:00] So, he essentially wiped away the old<br>[07:03] covenant and the new covenant and tried<br>[07:06] to reestablish something altogether<br>[07:07] different, which was a combination of<br>[07:10] all of those.<br>[07:12] That's why he picked some things out of<br>[07:14] the Mosaic law and said, "We must do<br>[07:15] these things." And he picked same things<br>[07:18] that Jesus or Paul said and said, "We<br>[07:20] must also do these things."<br>[07:22] And [clears throat] tried to establish<br>[07:24] it such that it was a contract that he<br>[07:28] was the mediator of, Branham, between<br>[07:30] God and man,<br>[07:32] and in this contract, you must, A,<br>[07:35] follow the leader, that was part of his<br>[07:36] contract. If you abandon that leader, if<br>[07:39] you walked away and said, "I remain<br>[07:42] Christian, but I'm no longer Branham."<br>[07:44] Or<br>[07:46] if it was Oral Roberts, "I'm no longer a<br>[07:47] Oral Roberts guy." Well, if you abandon<br>[07:50] your leader, you were breaking your<br>[07:52] covenant between that was mediated<br>[07:55] between the leader and God. So, it was a<br>[07:57] new covenant altogether that wasn't the<br>[07:59] gospel, it wasn't the old covenant, it<br>[08:01] wasn't the new covenant, but it was a<br>[08:04] merger of all of the covenants of the<br>[08:08] Bible,<br>[08:09] including the Davidic covenant.<br>[08:11] And if you understand that history and<br>[08:14] you also understand what is contained in<br>[08:16] those covenants, then understand that<br>[08:18] something new was created.<br>[08:20] Fast forward to today's language, the<br>[08:22] kingdom theology, the kingdom now<br>[08:24] theology.<br>[08:26] >> [clears throat]<br>[08:26] >> I've mentioned Wimber's theology. I know<br>[08:28] people hate me for this.<br>[08:30] If you understand the language that is<br>[08:32] being said in each one of these<br>[08:33] ministries and understand that the new<br>[08:36] covenant that Branham had created, which<br>[08:38] replaced the new covenant of grace, it<br>[08:40] was a new new covenant.<br>[08:43] Well, that language is being adopted in<br>[08:44] these groups and they're carrying it<br>[08:46] forward today.<br>[08:51] >> [music]<br>[08:57] [music]
