To be fair to Matt, certain details just don't add up. But if you're **sharp **and have had a glimpse into his interiors, it's clear that he has a real problem when it comes to integrity. I came across an internet forum discussing the current drama, and almost none of them view him favourably. At one point, someone suddenly brought up his ex from the early days of WordPress (I wish her nothing but happiness), describing how Matt publicly treated her like a shit. I was confused—didn't she date him for several years, have fun together, and have over 200 photos of her treasured on his personal blog? And isn't this the same Matthew Charles Mullenweg who loves to boast about his kindness and virtue in public for petty applause? Or isn't this the same WordPress co-founder who once dated someone with a criminal record before she swindled millions from her ex-boss (Tony Hsieh/Mimi Pham) while he was fragile—and proudly called her a big influence on his life? :) https://t.co/2zZImaQhlc Going further down the personal hellhole, he also has this habit of lurching from one(?) female companion to another without actually dating them. Some might think, there's a grand capital R-omantic reason behind that, but it's just pure nihilism. So, while some of the more cheek blushing details in the Attayeb/Westmoreland lawsuits might be exaggerated, the foundational claims could hold some truth. I would blame this on his character defects which exacerbated by the fact that he's surrounded by dumb, frivolous friends who use him just for clouts (and some hopeless (funny) personal wishes). It's rather anomalous to see someone with such achievements being surrounded closely by people so beneath his level—unless, of course, he's a narcissist who loves power over the rest of his gang—or maybe my standards are just different(??) Once the WP Engine legal battle is over, I genuinely hope he takes time for self-reflection.
